Lot of talk down here that b.r. still wants gylfi sigurdsson? Long time admirer and a former player! It seems spurs would let him go? Lamela is still settling down and with lennon out injured he has been getting a good run of games under his belt! But as soon as lamela settles and lennon is back plus news that they may well spend again in jan the future for gylfi at spurs doesn't seem bright? Could the lure of working with rogers tempt the icelandic international in a move to anfield? I'm sure it would? Although with spurs willing to sell I believe he will leave, but does the player actually want to leave himself? i'm told he told his agent to rebuff all summer enquiry's including brendon's but I think the player this time will be forced out kicking and screaming but with brendon their to catch him it may ease his pain!

1.) Didn't he snub us for Spurs because he thought they'd be better champions league hopes? Add him to the list of Willian, Mkhitaryan etc. They don't want to build Liverpool, just want to take the glory and command high wages when we're back in the CL. Types of players we don't need.

2.) The rumour quite clearly states that its b.r. that wants the player and that the player would be forced out! So I'm assuming he thinks their chances of c.l are just as good as our's? But if he doesn't want to come then don't bother! But I'm sure he will want out eventually especially when they buy more players?

3.) Good player, he would improve the squad for sure but can't see him playing weekly for us either. We need wingers and BR knows this. Ribery and robben will do ;-)

4.) Ribery or robben? U`re kidding right?

Ed2, living in london there's plenty of rumours going round regarding spurs! They have shelved their stadium idea and are now considering a 71.000 seater stadium? ( which they could easily fill, they regularly have an attendance of 36,000! They have a waiting list of 41,000 (my son being number 37,000 and something?) Plus another reputed 10,000 who can't be bothered to go on such a long list, such as my niece), its reported they are in conversation with the nfl? No idea if its to relocate or sue start a london team? They money they would earn would be enourmous! They were recently voted most popular team from england in the states, their shirts are out selling all other epl team! Have we ever contemplated this idea? Especially who our owners are? I understand wembley will host another three games next year but spurs are due to start their stadium in 2014 so plenty of time to negotiate? {Ed002's Note - Putting aside all of the numbers you mention, Spurs are looking for a 2 year or so build beginning next year. At the moment they are considering options within the same footprint. Shirt sales are of no relevance and I would be stunned if they were the most popular side in the US. A UK based franchise is still a pipedream with LA and LAs Vegas more likely to get franchises first. Anfield is not large enough for a US Football game to take place (although I guess if you made the Kop a lot smaller it might work).}

1.) Ed002 - I think you are underestimating the possibility of a London based NFL team. There is a feeling now that it will happen within the next 2-3 years. LA may be first city to get a team, but they have constant issues with building a new stadium. The NFL will never move to Las Vegas due to legal sports betting in the state. I know that the UK has the same issue, but NFL is nothing, if not hypocrites. It's very possible that either St. Louis or Oakland move back to LA due to their own stadium issues. Jacksonville, whose owner recently purchased Fulham, could move to London. {Ed002's Note - There have been recent meetings with a Las Vegas based consortium about a franchise and, as you say, what is holding up LA is a stadium. I am not aware of any thoughts of St Louis or Oakland returning to LA but I have little interest in the game. Certainly Oakland would seem very unlikely. I think the chances of Jacksonville moving to London is about zip.}

2.) Can't understand why any self-respecting LFC fan would give 2 hoots about Spurs.

Are you sure you're not lost chiswick?

This is not the spurs page. Keep it LFC please.

3.) Oh, I don't know Ken.
If Jackonsville ever re-located to Manchester, David Moyes would be a shoe-in for their defensive coach.

I was talking to a spurs fringe player who claimed that they expect to be a fire sale at southampton? Also that lovrrn, rodriguez and lallana will wait to hear from pochettino before making any plans…. Unless silly wages else where come into play!
