He has been easily the most consistent player, week in week out contributing defensively on a MASSIVE scale, and getting forward, compare him in midfield to Can and Wijnaldum his other box to box partners and he blows them out the water. He's opening up defenses, putting in great crosses, not surrendering posession, our successful press comes from him and bobby and pipco usually. £150K is a lot to offer, but he's undeniably been our best performer, even in our crap run of games. He can't be held reponsible for Karius, Migs, LovrenCans mistakes etc that have led to goals nor Bobby shocking time in front of it.

Agree with 25 Flanno for me is an improvement on all 3 current fullbacks that we have. It wasn't a 1 off season really where he looked good, even when called into action at 17 he kept Theo Walcott and his pace in his pocket all game, and played well when given opportunities in other games at 17/ 18.
Injuries have hampered him, so he hasn't been able to pla, He's looked good when I;ve watched his appearances at Burnley too, sadly he's only there to fill out their squad and give it depth. He certainly looks better than Lowton when gien chaces.

A friend of mine (Jake Skelton) used to play with him at the academy, says there are 3 clubs are interested but, none of which are liverpool.
He said Charlie just wants to concentrate on this season and help get Leeds promoted. Where he's contracted till this year, he seems happy to play well and honour that part of things going by his interviews.

It has to be said, Leeds insistence on 2 year contracts for their promoted academy players hurts them year in year out.

Nastasic wasn't even that bad of a player for City, barely got a decent run of games and he was what 19 at the time, being hrown in when Kompany was injured and often having to play alongside Lescott the donkey.

What? Crouch went because h wasn't good enough, and didn't come close to our style of play. Spearing was given time to develop, he was TERRIBLE most games. We've gone through those players because of the management changing so much, and BR's disasterous time in charge spending like a kid int he toy store. In that time though we've still shown (especially under klopp) youth will get opportunities. There are some positions though that they really need to move on EG Rossitter and Ibe (for their own careers sake) There's the odd occassion I disagree with KLOPP Ilori and tex) but that wouldn't put me off as a youth player.
I can't see the bad point of ditching Riise we hadAurelio wh was better and had just bought Dossena who much was thought of. Benayoun was a worker, never good enough for a team pushing for PLat the time for me. Ihonestly don't get your point. onhlysouthampton for me can really say they've produced better academy players and given them more tim tanus in recent years. Even Chelsea bin off themjority of their academy players, or buy them further down the line for more money.

There are some points I agree with and others I don't MK. I do believe we give up on player too early such as Suso and have failed to give them proper game time, aspas and alberto, I can probably include Ibe Texeira and Ayala on that list too, given the rubbish we've brought in to replace them in some form, or not replace the in the squad at all.

I disagree however that Carrol would even fir into ourstyles ofverthe last few years, I;ve made it clear I think Studge needs to be cashed in on for a player thata ctally plays and can work as part of the system. Benteke is still woeful for palace and wastes a lot of their good balls ins, Spearing (I;ve ltierally not a clue why you've brought him up, he's found his level) If you're including Coady, you might as well include Shelvey, who is also a level above in that elague.

I do remember a certain Ed writing off Migs before he even joined and hammering him for poor performances in the first few games many many moons ago. Hypocritical. We needed a keeper for the here and now, not a possibly good one in 5 years time. The management ot this wrong.

{Ed001's Note - how is it hypocritical to judge someone based on evidence of a number of seasons? Not sure you understand the word. Perhaps you are also unable to understand the point, that I am asking people to judge on evidence of a number of seasons, not on a couple of games.}
