As ed02 is always saying. fickle fickle fickle. Honestly people on here should be ashamed of themselves. Okay everyone could see that they were there for the taking and yes changes should have been made but as klopp said himself they still have to come to anfield next week. This is the man who has masterminded a win against the best team in the competition in the last round and who has found a way to win nearly all the big games we have played in. you're either with us or you are not. Through thick and thin we should still have faith and support our team and manager. You can't come on here and call klopp a genius then when things don't go our way come on here and slate him. And before everyone starts. i know everyone is allowed an opinion but try having a think about what you're going to post before you come on here and spaff your only happy when we are winning views.

Couldn't agree more, the tie is far from over and they still need to come to Anfield.

2.) 29 Apr 2016 00:05:30
So you basically say that this site should be closed until the second game? We played the first leg and people analyse the result. no one here said we have no chance but everyone also know that it is advantage Viareal and that miracles like Dortmund don't happen every day. The decision to not play Sturridge for 90 minutes is indefensible and Klopp himself think so now I am sure. We all hope we can win big next week but there is no guarantee that we can.

3.) 28 Apr 2016 23:52:31
What is wrong with most of you guys here, really?

Just sack Klopp then. Huh!

4.) 29 Apr 2016 00:14:04
People may need to release Sturridge may not sort Klopp stayle of play. Yes Sturridge is quality but does is his work effect like firminho and Orige. 2rd point is that we not out of the tie we need to attack and score goals. We need to believe people.

5.) 29 Apr 2016 00:19:55
The decision not to play Sturridge is not indefensible at all. How do you know how he's performed in training? How do you know what niggles he might have? To suggest you know better than Klopp is the height of arrogance. Are you suggesting he deliberately didn't put our best team out tonight?

6.) 29 Apr 2016 00:26:37
Bunch of cry-babies posting tonight. We will smash them at Anfield.
Yes, that's right, there's still another game to go!

7.) 29 Apr 2016 00:41:01
I don't think anyone is suggesting we sack Klopp Haizan but just because he's our manager, does not mean that we cannot critique his mistakes, just like any other team would. The banter page would be pretty dull if we can't discuss the games in which we don't play well.

The reality is, we only have ourselves to blame and will have to rely on JK seeing the errors we made and have full faith in him and the players to do what we know they can.

8.) 29 Apr 2016 02:54:32
Wow, the petty comments after losing our very first game in the EL are telling of the fickle fans Ed2 has been talking about. Studge should play or Klopp gets sacked. wait, what? Can you people hear yourselves. Put a sock on it, grow a backbone and support the club and the manager. Klopp was a god vs BVB yet because he's lost his first game in the el for us, he's crap or because Studge didn't play? With fans like your lot, who needs mancs?

9.) 29 Apr 2016 03:03:36
Yeah maybe I exaggerated, HX Red. I understand the frustations, but I just thought it's a bit too much.

10.) 29 Apr 2016 07:57:38
Have to agree with Redmen's 2rd point . & concede that I probably couldn't even order a beer in whatever language he was brought up with.

11.) 29 Apr 2016 00:31:30
We can praise the good but can't critics the bad. Its fans like you that take the high horse to jisy make yourself feel better than the rest of us.

Klopp masterminding a win against Dortmund doesn't excuse cocking up the game villareal game.

Doesn't mean we hate him or he's a bad coach.

Tonight was a bad judgement of errors and not too dissimilar to mourinho 2 years ago against athletico playing away first and setting up to just not really attack. I'm sorry but you have to get an away goal, end of.

We can score 2 next week and they only need to nick one and were out.

Taking benteke, saying we don't take passengers before hand, saying everyone's going to get a game, or at least get more than 4 minutes and then doing that. not going for the win after we had exhausted most of there options by the 70 minute.

We win the game against Dortmund by being bold and brave and there was none of that tonight. fsr to. safe far to cautious and scared. But I still like klopp. Still think he will keep his job and am entitled to my opinion. On to the home game next and hopefully wr win

Still a top fan.

I know its probably been commented on but I've just seen the statement released from everton. A touch of class and a moving statement. A bitter sweet day today. God bless the 96, their families and everyone who has fought long and hard for todays verdict.

I would love klopp to give the youngsters the last dozen games to see what the youngsters can do on a consistant basis. After the cup final at the end of feb let's give the ypungsters the remainder of the season to show him what they can do. He must know by now what the team we played on tuesday night can or can't do more like. i'm sure the fans would be understanding if results didn't go our way during this period but at least we would be giving these youngsters the platform and experience they need. Its clear that some of them have what it takes to break into the first team and it might save us spending money on positions we don't really need to.

1.) 04 Feb 2016 07:24:44
Flanagan and Smith should definitely come in

It would be good to to see Ward and Ojo given some time too.

2.) 04 Feb 2016 07:36:51
Flanagan and Smith maybe the rest 1 or 2 games I'm afraid if they don't live up to the hype the fans will destroy them and honestly stop kidding yourself with all that youngsters crap they are not our saviours just as you found out with your darling Ilori.

3.) 04 Feb 2016 08:38:50
ca1974

Exactly what I was saying yesterday. leave the so called strongest 11 for the cup games and give the youngsters chances in the league games.

The league is over for us so if the youngsters can't get game time now then they never will.

Ward, smith, Flanagan, ojo and texiera should be getting games.

Smith at left back and let's try Moreno in left wing add some pace to our attack.

4.) 04 Feb 2016 08:50:40
Red 10 what has illori done wrong since being given an opportunity besides running out of steam in the first match? Did he make a horrific mistake and concede a hatful of goals because of some kind of ineptitude?

I really don't understand the hatred towards our OWN players. Boggles my mind.

5.) 04 Feb 2016 09:26:27
For all the ones on here calling for the youngsters to be given more game time to TEST what they can do
. Do you not realise the sort of pressure managers are under to win as many games as they can. The higher up the league they finish the more money for the club, Europa cup places up for grabs not to mention the managers reputation is at stake. So you can understand why managers find it difficult to try the youngsters when so much is at stake.

{Ed001's Note - yet Klopp has managed to do it, while your hero Bodgers failed miserably. Just shows who crumbles under pressure and who mans up and takes it. I am sure you will make more pathetic excuses for how Bodgers wasn't at fault, but he was and we are in this position because of him. A bunch of youngish players that we have no idea about because he was useless.}

6.) 04 Feb 2016 09:37:20
On another note, whose younger? Red Since 64 or Ed01. ha ha :)

7.) 04 Feb 2016 09:52:05
Ed, where in my post did I mention the name Rodgers, you need to get help mate, because you seem to read into posts something that's not there. Rodgers has left and you need to move on, I certainly have.

{Ed001's Note - no you have not, every single trolling post from you is comparing them. SO give it a rest and stop trying to be a marty. The only help I need is not having to put up with your snide posts day after day.}

8.) 04 Feb 2016 11:49:08
Red since 64

I know what you are are saying regarding pressure but klopp could just speak to the board and discuss using the youngsters in the league and that it could put them lower in the league.

Germany through away the euros didn't they by playing youngsters, and look what happened after that!

{Ed002's Note - Aside from it being forbidden by FA rules, the club would never allow it, and the sponsors will be less than amused.}

All the people calling for ojo to get a run of games now need to calm down a bit. The boy is still very much a kid, i seem to remember all the posts to give ibe a run of games when sterling was sold and look at the abuse certain posters give him. Also all the posts praising allen after last nights game saying how much quality he has. Typical of some of the so called fans on here, two weeks ago he was the worst midfielder at the club!

ca1974

1.) 21 Jan 2016 07:46:46
The thing to do with both Ibe and Ojo is to let them compete with one another, Alternate the pair in games. Both lads can bring each other on. In the end there is no reason why they both can't play. Ibe all right foot Ojo all left foot. They both have ability. I believe Ojo has more belief in his own skills and shows more composure, very much like a young John Barnes.

2.) 21 Jan 2016 08:11:35
Ojo is a big lad. Looks like he is carrying a bit of timber, maybe its all muscle. Took his goal really well but i would guess Klopp would want him to work a lot harder if he was to play in his style of team. He looks a real talent tho. i'm glad Klopp has brought him back to work with him.

3.) 21 Jan 2016 08:14:39
CA - surely that's more of a call for the criticisers to calm down and stop jumping the gun than a call not to play young players when they do well?

4.) 21 Jan 2016 08:30:47
tbh, i thought allen had no future when klopp first came (ive personally never thought he was a bad player, have always seen his qualities. ) but we have some serious underpeforming players and right now allen is miles ahead of them. allen was brought off last night because klopp is starting to realise this. he's still young and will be a great squad player for us because he is capable of slotting right into our lineup.

problem is we have hendo, lucas and can. and then the two phoneys lallana and milner as our attacking players. we really should drop these 2, pop allen in there with ibe and firmino.

but i think klopp has this idea of using milner and lallana as dispendable workhorses and resting quality players for when needed in a game. i don't like this at all. rest quality players and play other quality players.

5.) 21 Jan 2016 08:51:48
Disagree, Allen is not a forward. Yes he's popped up with intelligent late runs into the box and scored twice but now he deserves to play on the wing?

I do agree Milner/ Llalana on the wing together doesn't work though, we need at least one pacy goalscorer out wide if playing a front 3.

And Hjikle I think there's a difference between wanting to see Ojo get a shot and saying he should get a string of games. I say put him on the bench and sub him for Llalana or Ibe as situation dictates against Norwich. Let's see how he steps up against a PL defence for 30mins. He clearly has something we lack in the side apart from perhaps Ibe and his confidence is up. a bunch of 30min cameos this season would be invaluable experience heading into next.

6.) 21 Jan 2016 09:51:54
To the original poster, i clicked agree for the Ojo comment. He's probably not ready so let him get there with good coaching but that was a gorgeous goal though!

The Allen comment seemed fair, i read the site every day and nobody has done anything except give Joe a fair shout out when he's had a good game. Seems fair to me mind.

7.) 21 Jan 2016 10:24:02
Ibe all both feet you mean.

8.) 21 Jan 2016 10:37:49
It's not about making the young lads play every week, it's more a case of being giving a run in the cup, they have done well, next step is to introduce them to the Premier League. There was a valid point made on the Pod about reversing the way we use the squad for cup and league games. Instead of using the kids for cup games use the senior players and the kids in the league when we can. The reasons for this were that we are not going to win the title this year and top 4 is a bit of a stretch as well now, where as we are still in with a shout of winning 3 cup competitions and even winning 1 of those brings us more success than we have had in 4 years. We have to trust them at some point and the remainder of this season is the perfect opportunity to get games into the lads.

Just a quick one on last nights game. I thought the youngsters dug in well and fought hard for the draw. I would put money on the same group of lads beating Exeter on the far better surface at Anfield. I really liked the look of teixeira. The boy has some silky touches and looks as if he has something about him. I'm not one for bashing players but he would start everyday of the week ahead of Lallana who has offered next to nothing since he signed. Also on Benteke, I watched him closely last night a number of times he took up good positions and looked for the ball early but we kept trying to play intricate passes on a shocking park. Given the right service he will score goals although I do agree he does need to up his workrate.

ca1974

1.) 09 Jan 2016 12:36:05
I'm on a similar page. I don't believe he's not ar*ed, I think he's frustrated. last night he kept pointing out where he wanted the ball and it never came.

Maybe playing to suit him is the wrong idea but it seems such a waste of time to put him on the pitch and not play to his strengths.

2.) 09 Jan 2016 13:46:18
I watched him as well, boys and atimes, he showed some good touches looked for the ball more however, not consistent enuff. Also, there were a few times when we had balls were indeed, crossed well enuff into the six yard box. Benteke was still at the back post instead of making darting runs into the six yard box. That is the problem. He doesn't make enuff runs and counter runs to lose his markers and get on the end of crosses. He was doing that at Villa but suddenly, he doesn't do that anymore. What's up with that?

So we have just beaten one of our contenders for a top 4 finish. The boys played superbly for most of the game, we scored 2 fantastic goals and we dug in 2nd half to see out the game but still you find the need to complain about Gini. For me he had his best game for us tonight. He picked up players well, closed down brilliantly and intercepted numerous passes. He gives us more power and strength in the middle of the park. If you watched the game properly and looked out for these things then you might appreciate these small details that make such a big difference to a game. How many games has he played? 4? 5? he's has played better with each game. Give the guy a chance!

So you have turned the game off at half time have you? Pretty much sums you up then. We are supporters mate its what we are meant to do. SUPPORT! You can't just support us when we are winning. If you can't give the team support when it really needs it then I suggest you go elsewhere with your so called support. Maybe you could go and support the Manky Mob if you're so happy with their transfer business.
