which edd is the chelsea fan? a player I thought really highly of a couple of years back was marco marin. just wondering if he has a future at chelsea. would be a great addition to our team

Quick one for the edds, not liverpool related sorry. Just wondering what you think of chris Coleman as a manager. I'm a proud welsh man and can't belive how well he's done with the national team.
{Ed091's Note - Personally do not rate him as a manager. Right now he has some good players all in form, and to his credit is riding the wave nicely. However that wave could turn at any point. That said his achievements with wales shouldnt be snubbed.

Don't know how you can say you don't rate him. International managers only work with players that come from that country, they can't go out and buy players like club managers can. And any manager of a small nation like Wales who gets them to top the group must be doing something right.

I think that's a little unfair Ed, they've always had a pretty tough group in the qualifiers with 2 other teams that are expected to qualify ahead of Wales.

I wouldn't say we've under achieved, our squad should prove that. Granted we have a decent first eleven but on paper we are poor bar a few players. I thought Coleman had done really well, especially defensively. No were not going to win anything buy we'll give most teams a good game. Credit to the manager, staff and players I think.

Defo unfair. Good foundations left by speed, carried on by Coleman. man for man much worse squad than England and pipped them to top spot.
First time qualified for a major tournament in 50 years, and topped the group cannot be an 'underachievement'
{Ed001's Note - it was more than foundations that Speedo built. This is still his squad, his system etc. Coleman is a decent guy who had the sense to see that it only needed a tweak.}

After having a debate with a fellow liverpool fan I'd like to ask your opinion. My argument was that we should play our strongest team in the premier league and prioritise that looking for a top 4 finish. fa and league cup and champions league should be an after thought. I argued that once our squad had settled this season then next year might be the time to challenge on the two main fronts. With regards to resting and rotating players I said I would only do that if it meant having a stronger team for the next premier legume game. He said I was a total defitist

For every bit of magic he does the next simple pass he gives the ball away. Granted he's an exceptional player but if he's aiming to play for Barcelona he needs to keep hold of the ball better.

Sturridge can't match firmino, couts, lallana and mane physically. Our system doesn't work when 1 player let's it down.
