Morning All

I posted on here before as a Westham fan, and just wanted to say keep the faith, there are 27 points to play for and u are only 1 behind. Trust me when I say it is not over by a long shot.

The pressure to hold a lead is sometimes greater that trying to catch a lead.

I was listening to a certain sports radio station at 10pm last night and one of the hosts without naming, really hates liverpool with a passion, which is totally so biased on a sports radio show, more of you should call in and get on his back as its not right. Saying that does a cockney make a Man U fan?

Any way get the heads high and get behind the team. as mentioned its not over to my Mrs sings. Good Luck.

Top post, thanks WS, a point is next to nothing! I can guarantee city didn't think it was over when it was a point. All we can do is look after ourselves and see where we end come May. Once it's done we will then review the season but until then I will believe we can still win it.

Just on a separate point about bottling I don't think we have bottled anything you all play 38 games and the fixtures are random. If we played all the bottom clubs in the first 28 games then the 10 against the rest of the top 6 I am sure we would have a huge lead. The only lead that matters is the one in May.

This is the best and most exciting season we've had since i started supporting the team, i expect it's the same with a lot of the doom and gloom merchants on here, so i make a plea to you all to just enjoy it for what it is, and don't forget that the journey of supporting Liverpool doesn't end at the end of this season.

3.) 05 Mar 2019 11:07:44
As a neutral when I hear the word bottleing it, it winds me up. The players you have have played in World Cups CL Finals and big matches either for Liverpool or before.

Maybe you not as dynamic as the first half of the season, but you didn't bottle it against resurgent Man U team at the Theatre of Fickle fans. opps I mean dreams, and away in a Local Derby where the form book goes out the window. You blew away and very very good Watford team and Bournemouth was a stroll in the park.

I expect a strong win on Sunday against Burnley but the night before Man C are home against Watford, as mentioned on their day they are no mugs and Man C albeit had all the possession against Westham and Bournemouth only won 1-0 both times ( Well dodgy decision for a pen against my lot) .

In my humble opinion all Liverpool can do is concentrate on what they do on the pitch and forget about Man C result, all this disillusion could change in a matter over night, you could be playing Burnley to regain top of the league, its that close this season.

4.) 05 Mar 2019 12:29:38
Neither teams will get all 27 points.

5.) 05 Mar 2019 15:24:31
Good posts WS. appreciate the independent perspective

No one accused Man City of bottling it again CP and Newcastle in Dec, and we have gotten past man utd and the derby with 1 point in it and our two toughest games (as measured by the table) to be played at home

Thus is going to the wire.

Its been nice to see how other clubs fans see there team, and enjoyed all of the comments from everyone. It does seem no matter who you support the view of fans is always split which make fantastic reading

Im off back to Westham Rumours where we can discuss how to avoid relegation next year!

Good luck to you all in the league and genuinely hope you pick up the trophy this year, its going to be a brilliant run in for the neutrals, I have a feeling you may just pip it.

Dont forget Man C has yet to play Westham :) ( Did someone say that another 6 on there goals scored? )

Cheers.

Nice to read your posts Warrington Seymour, and very interesting to get the fan of another team's perspective.

I wish your boys luck for the rest of the season. WH are most definitely my second team (albeit a distant second ;-) having been born in the area and therefore having the entire rest of my family as Hammers! I am indeed the 'red sheep' of the family, albeit I have very fond memories of Upton Park - I've watched the Reds more at Upton Park than at Anfield and it happened to also be my first ever game!

Thank you.

Good Morning

Im a Westham fan and just want to add a comment concerning the negativity coming from some of you guys.
Ok you have dropped 4 points in the last 2 games, BUT Man C have dropped 3 against Newcastle so its not all doom and gloom.

You are 3 points clear and do not have to play Man C, Ok yes I understand that a golden chance to go 7 clear has been lost but you are top of the league and there for a reason.

You have dipped a bit of form, it happens, but fundamentally you have a great side that can blow anyone away on the day. The negativity some have will only rub off on the players which will make things tough. Klopp just needs to regroup remind the players how they can play and Im sure you will be in with a shout right up to the last game.

What I would say is G/ D could be an absolute major player come end of season, your 5 behind MC at the moment so goals may be important, . goodness your top of the league in with a fantastic shout of winning the Prem, get behind your team. being negative and down helps no one. Good Luck.

Top post WS, best of luck for the rest of the season!

2.) 05 Feb 2019 10:12:53
Thanks mate! Always welcome here.

3.) 05 Feb 2019 10:21:06
Post of the year, about time someone talked some sense. People are forgetting exactly how well we've done so far this season.

4.) 05 Feb 2019 10:30:18
Great post Seymour. The negativity when we don't win is just ridiculous so thanks for putting things into perspective.

5.) 05 Feb 2019 10:47:20
But it’s not just one or two games, we have been poor for ages, Wolves, City, Palace, Leicester and now West Ham. This has not happened as a one off.

6.) 05 Feb 2019 11:05:30
But Frankly, for Man C its been Newcastle, Leicester, Palace, Chelsea, Lyon. mate look at your glass and imagine it half full and not half empty.

As in my previous post you just had to forget all games what has gone on before and look at it this way, your top of the league, 3 points clear with 13 games to go and no Man C to play.

Would you have took that at the beginning of the season?

Im sorry don't mean to be rude. I just don't get it, your in the pole position what's there to be unhappy about?

7.) 05 Feb 2019 11:18:34
It’s nerves from a recently success-starved fan base. That’s all 🤝.

8.) 05 Feb 2019 12:00:57
am with the OP 1000%. for now the lads need to fee all the support from all areas. right now, as much as they say they avoid media etc, they will be getting it from everywhere - social media, down the street, amongst each other in training, at Anfield. when you're trying to get out of a rut you do need things to bounce your way but you also need positive people around you reaching out to help pull you out of it too. For me this is our role and collectively we can help lift the mood.

9.) 05 Feb 2019 12:17:17
Reading this same conversation on here with the same people everyday is getting boring. Just accept that some people are positive and some are negative. There are positives and negatives to look at and we see them in different ways.

It’s so boring to read people constantly shaming others for having a different opinion to them. Yes debate the merits of our performances, tactics and team selection. But if someone else has a more positive/ negative view than you, leave them be.

And btw, posting “stop being negative we are going to win the league, you just need to believe” or words to that affect achieves nothing other than making you look daft. The amount of faith people have in the teams chance of winning the league on this website has 0 baring on our chances to win the league.

10.) 05 Feb 2019 12:28:57
KK82, another one speaking rubbish, it doesn't make anyone look daft, you've just defeated your whole argument mate. Remember, opinions?

11.) 05 Feb 2019 12:45:43
If a WH fan is the voice of reason then you know we are in trouble. The OP is spot on. I'm not buying the "it's a starved fan base" stuff cos NOBODY has the copyright on that. I am just as starved as the next guy BUT you don't see me losing my stuff over a freaking draw even tho I am VERY frustrated. I think such people are just used to disappointment and lack the bottle to dare to dream and take that next step into uncharted waters as in, being top of the PL. They are so scared of their own shadows that they simply wait for one or two things to go wrong and their true reactions come out.

Faith is right. When things are not going your way in life or sports, you need people to bring positivity into the mix to help give you perspective which at this point, there is much to be positive about regardless of whether we could/ should have won both games or not. We can't do that if people turn up to Anfield and keep quiet, moan at every misplaced pass and whine cos things aren't going their way. If the fans can no longer do that then they should stay away from Anfield and let the positive fans go in there and pull help bring this baby home.

12.) 05 Feb 2019 12:46:15
Its simply astounding that we are top of the league in February, having lost one game, and that people still find room to be down about it.
Did i mention that we are top of the league?

13.) 05 Feb 2019 12:52:11
I think the issue king Kenny, is when that negativity starts filtering through to the players. The players and coach are under enough pressure as it is. They don't need the fans turning on them.

I love this site as the majority of posts are fair and constructive, however the hysteria amongst some after games like today is over the top.

14.) 05 Feb 2019 13:50:04
Be a Westham fan Ron! :)

15.) 05 Feb 2019 17:35:37
Salah, you can’t even spell my name correctly? And yes, my post was partly aimed at you, posting regularly shaming others for any negative thought and proving your point by saying “we will win the league 100%”. That proves nothing.
I’ve been reading and occasionally posting on these sites for roughly 11 years and never have I found it so pointless to read every day because it’s the same people posting the same things every day. You’ve made your point, you think we will win the league. I want us to win the league as much as anyone, but your thoughts posted on this site have absolutely no baring on that, so stop shaming people for thinking differently to you.

For some of us this will be the only place we interact with other Liverpool fans and it’s interesting to discuss negatives and positives and interesting to discuss matches and tactics. We don’t need to do that in the fear that people will say we are “taking rubbish”. Stop turning on your own supporters.

16.) 05 Feb 2019 19:39:43
KK - some negative opinions and hyperbole need to be called put. History tells us this.

17.) 05 Feb 2019 20:48:41
When did I ever shame anybody for thinking differently? please quote me ONE time I have 'shamed' somebody for thinking differently to me? we can all have disagreements but I have never 'shamed' anybody so you're simply speaking nonsense.

Walter is the opposite of me when it comes down to how we currently see Liverpool yet he get's nothing but respect from me. To get respect you give respect.

Gobsh*te.

Yes you could have been a healthy 7-8 points clear, but let's not forget Man C have lost to Newcastle, Leicester and Palace games you would think they would have won, so maybe if you look at that way you may have been 1 point behind Man C.
