Can any of the eds confirm whether we have a deal in place to sign harvey elliot from fulham.

{Ed002's Note - I know there has been a lot of interest in the kiddie and I know that one of the interested sides is Liverpool. Whether or not there has been agreement over the compensation I don't know - this is obviously nothing to do with the first team - it is an academy matter.}

1.) 08 Jul 2019 10:40:10
He has now officially been signed by LFC.

2.) 08 Jul 2019 23:13:45
So official that it's not mentioned on the official website.

20 Mar 2019 07:03:26
hey Eds is there anything concrete with the Italian media reporting that we have serious interest in Dybala?

{Ed002's Note - I am only aware of one side entering discussions with Juventus about Dybala, and it is not Liverpool.}

1.) 20 Mar 2019 10:32:32
thanks ed👍.

2.) 20 Mar 2019 20:18:26
Thank goodness for that.

Apologies if this has been already covered, but as read and heard from various sources that we are looking for a versatile attacker. Ed002 can you please answer which all players are we looking at for this profile?

Thanks ed002 you are a top man. cheers!

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts. I have explained where there is interest.}

1.) 27 Jun 2019 15:15:05
Maxwel Cornet of Olympique Lyon. Wilson to be sold and possibly Shaqiri.

Ed002, as you'd said months ago Lyon told buyers they would only sell one key player his summer, I have a question.

They already lost their left back to Madrid, lots of talk of bids for Ndombl and interest in Aouar, plus of course Liverpool interest in Fekir and Cornet. Surely they won't want to lose so many, unless they've decided to take the money and reinvest (one CM already bought)

So do you think anything changed and could you see Liverpool getting Fekir and Cornet or is it on r the other?

Thanks a lot as always and have a good evening.

{Ed002's Note - They won't lose so many. Fekir and Cornet are far from "key" players.}

2.) 27 Jun 2019 17:20:29
I reckon we will sign 2 or 3 players nobody expected to fill in when needed. We do not have to replace any first team players at this point unless some leave.

We can defenitely expect a versatile forward.

3.) 27 Jun 2019 17:59:40
I think you could be right about unexpected buys. But like the Van den Berg signing, I knows hes young and he will be limited to what he can be involved in due to age but Ive not seen us do a 1st interview player for a player that isnt expected to be part of first team squad.

Cornet would I guess be unexpected to, other than the Eds on this site not seen his name on press.

4.) 27 Jun 2019 18:21:52
Van Der Berg is someone none of us have seen on a football pitch. He most definetily will not be part of the 1st team squad this coming season.

5.) 27 Jun 2019 18:33:24
Of course he'll be around the first team, I look forward to seeing him in pre season. I like the fact that none of our back line have international duties this summer, can all get a good pre season together.

6.) 27 Jun 2019 18:53:49

Van Der Berg is only 17 and knows nothing about the UK. If you think he will even feature in preseason then you are clutching at straws.

7.) 27 Jun 2019 20:04:49
Vishnu_bobby We have interest in Cornet from Lyon, which seems to be about it at this stage. Speculation is rife with the likes of Pp, Fernandes and Fekir but very unlikely unless Salah or Mane was to leave. Dont expect big money to be spent on one player. The likes of Cornet to challenge our front 3 is priority.

Thats what I get so far. Others might say differently.

8.) 27 Jun 2019 20:19:32
Max, he is already a first team player. He's made over 20 senior appearances. He's only slightly younger than Gomez when he joined and Joe went straight into the starting XI at left back before his injury. You may be right but you can't patronize other posters with your all seeing all knowing opinion, that he won't even make it onto the pre-season tour. I personally think he'll train with the first team squad and probably replace Camacho on the fringes. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's a perfectly reasonable opinion to have.

9.) 27 Jun 2019 20:28:58
Why is that so unimaginable. Last summer Curtis Jones, Camacho, Phillips, kelliher all got game time. He's joining up with the first team for training and is expected to travel on US tour. Why wouldn't he be played? He's Dutch and speaks fluent English, he's played over 20 games in the Dutch top flight so he's obviously capable.

Over the season he won't be featuring much for us of course but I'm sure he'll be given as much opportunity as the other teenagers in friendlies, then play with the u23s when the season starts.

sorry eds but i couldn't find the fulham game match review.
Could you please help me find out.

{Ed001's Note - it is on the website as usual, if you miss the link you can always go direct to the site in future mate. Here is the link though for the actual review: Fulham match review

1.) 14 Nov 2018 18:28:09
thanks mate and btw i love reading your post match reviews.

{Ed001's Note - thank you very much mate. That means a lot to know people enjoy them. Especially when it has been a bad game and I have to sit through it again, makes it worth doing.}

11 Jun 2018 19:53:25
if ed001 is around may i ask you what was your take on daniel agger as a player and what is your take on his time at lfc?

{Ed001's Note - he was an excellent defender, one of those players that makes others better. Just a shame he suffered so badly with injuries. Loved his loyalty as well.}

1.) 11 Jun 2018 22:04:30
I loved Agger. I loved that he loved this club and that he was a classy defender, just a shame about the injuries.

2.) 11 Jun 2018 22:37:47
Agger was a fantastic player and man, was gutted when he left. A true Liverpool great imo. If it hadn't been for his injuries he could've been one of the best.

3.) 11 Jun 2018 22:45:10
Fabulous player. Read the game so well and was so comfortable on the ball! With the way managers are obsessed with making defenders play out from the back now a days he would be an ideal player to show to young defenders, he made it look so natural and never got himself into trouble by being confident with the ball at his feet.

4.) 11 Jun 2018 22:45:38
Agreed, probably liverpool best defender since Hypia, not counting Vvd and carra would have something to say about that. He had a sweet left foot. He's like the player John stones wishes he was.

Hard too, no nonsense and daunting for opposition on corners i bet

Plying fifa, when the commentator says "agger" I had to say "do do do"

5.) 11 Jun 2018 22:46:04
I thought his defending was over-rated.
He was good on the ball, no doubt, but he was often out of position and beaten in the air.
Great lad though. 👍.

6.) 11 Jun 2018 23:34:14
Whenever my boy would go to Melwood for an autograph, Agger was the one player who would consistently stop.

7.) 12 Jun 2018 05:22:42
loved Agger, the only LFC shirt i have with a name on it, was Agger.

8.) 12 Jun 2018 05:42:14
I always thought he was a little too weak in the air.

9.) 12 Jun 2018 11:48:50
Hero of mine, loved his attitude and dedication to the club. Injuries robbed him of a longer career at Anfield.

10 May 2018 08:34:12
Hey why isn't sadio mane there in any of our yesterdays training pics? Is there something to worry about?

1.) 10 May 2018 09:13:26
The cameraman can't take pictures of everyone, surely OR he was in the gym working out or getting a massage or, well, you get the picture.

2.) 10 May 2018 10:05:23
He might have a day off mate. The medical science team will tell the manager quite often if certain players need a break.

Lovren, Matip, Henderson and Firmino have all had days off this year so it wouldn't be anything new if that is the case.

Fingers crossed it is nothing serious.

3.) 10 May 2018 10:38:10
Ya mate we need him at his best for the upcoming two most important matches of the season. Hence the worry.

4.) 10 May 2018 10:54:04
Maybe he was having a pooh.

5.) 10 May 2018 13:28:36
May be he was running at the time of getting pictured and could not be captured in the frame. Lightening speed.

25 Apr 2018 09:29:12
Ed001 for you if you are out there. What do you think how much of an impact did the salah substitution had on the late goals we conceded. I think their defenders and midfielders were on toes until salah was subbed and as soon as he left i felt the became comfortable and confident with their passing and possession.

{Ed001's Note - it was nothing to do with Salah. Easy to blame that but it wasn't due to him. It was down to it being 5-0 and everyone relaxing and the press dropping off.}

1.) 25 Apr 2018 10:30:03
Cheers thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

2.) 25 Apr 2018 10:32:12
You do have to wonder how big a game has to be before our players choose to pay attention for the full 90 minutes.

{Ed001's Note - it is not really a lack of attention. More a case of some players continuing to play the full press while others were dropping off and looking to just see out the game. The players need to sort that out between themselves on the pitch, the same way they sort out the triggers for a press in most games. It is something that comes with experience.}

3.) 25 Apr 2018 10:39:58
Wasn't it just a couple of individual mistakes? One from Lovren who didn't push up when the other 3 defenders tried to play offside, and neither did he get close to Dzeko. And second from referee for a very harsh penalty.

4.) 25 Apr 2018 10:45:36
It was a strange last 25 minutes all round. At ine point it looked like Roma had just given up and the Liverpool players didn’t really know what to do. The 2 goals is a bitter pill to swallow, but swallow it we must. Although I just can’t see them beating us by 3 unanswered, you never know in football and we can’t take anything for granted.

5.) 25 Apr 2018 11:07:42
Agreed with Ed001 that after the 5th goal, the intensity of the team was unequal throughout the team. Our front three were still pressing, but the midfield dropped out and long balls, crosses started arriving into the box.

For the 1st goal, as the ball was launched, I immediately thought 'where's the midfield? '. Similarly for the penalty given, why was Milner where he was?

Nonetheless, Lovern did appear shaky after the 5th goal. You could sense a mistake in him because somehow he seemed to lose that authoritativeness he had for the previous 70mins. Strange one.

6.) 25 Apr 2018 11:55:37
Spot on, Ed. The press was not working in the first 25 mins which made Roma take control co it was being done not a a group. When that got fixed, the floodgates opened. Same thing in the last 10. The press was being done by some and not by others hence, caught in two minds. This allowed Roma more time on the ball in midfield as seen when Nainngolan had all the time and space to float that peach to Dzeko to score. He had had NO such time for all the second half as Hendo was in his face.

As for blaming the goals on Salah's substitution, that is the typical low hanging fruit that is not worth debating, as Ed alluded to. If the players cannot figure thing out hen 5-0 up and if you can't take Salah off at 5-0 then, that is a much bigger problem cos the manager cannot hold the players' hand all the time.

7.) 25 Apr 2018 12:17:58
Personally wouldn't have taken salah off just because we were getting at them so much maybe could of ended it 5-0 of 6-0, but that is easy to say in hindsight. As with previous games we know when we step off the gas and teams come at us, liable to conceded goals. So from personally i'd rather just keep going as they can't score if we are attacking with the all.

Lovren got caught, should have done better, but then I can't remember who passed it over, mangalan? Probably spelt wrong, was a beauty of a pass tbf.

Wasn't a pen for me seem to hit milner in the stomach. Very harsh.

2 chances I still think about the mane one i think he should have squared to Salah and Wjnaldum.

Also thought trent was onside and looked a simple ball into salah if he was.

So on another night it could have been easy 7-0 rather than 5-2. Even though salah went off the boys should have kept up the with the pressure but been highlighted before some players were pressing some where just seeing the game out and dropping off. Agree with BR's statement also, I know i said i wouldn't take off Salah personally however if you can't take him off 5-0 up then that's a problem.

We know Roma have been solid at home these past games, but Chelsea made Barcelona look average when they played at home, i haven't seen the Roma/ barca game, but someone mentioned how poor Barcelona were. If we turn up i can see us getting at least 1 goal. I think 1 is enough. I am still a bit dissapointed with letting in 2 late goals. As it stil shows how we let games get away from us, like we have done so many times. But 3 goals up is a good place to be. We just have to stay organised and do what we did against City, YNWA.

8.) 25 Apr 2018 12:24:56
Our players looked really tired to me after 75 mins, might be because they just decided to not press as much but to me they looked completely knackered.

9.) 25 Apr 2018 12:43:23
I thought we just ran out of gas and our concentration levels dropped as a result.

I agree with Klopp, I think we’ll win in Rome too.

10.) 25 Apr 2018 12:55:08
The players lost focus and concentration once 5 nil up. Klopp hopefully has given them a dressing down coz letting Roma score twice means we have to go full strength in Rome with a threadbare first 11. Nothing to do with Salah being substituted.

11.) 25 Apr 2018 13:05:36
We were winning 5.0 why wouldn’t your rest your best player?

12.) 25 Apr 2018 18:47:47
Spot on, Alistair, Ron, Cesar and the rest. All the factors you all posted, were all involved in how we conceded two goals and NOTHING to do with the false argument of "Salah should not have come off" stuff. Good to see that many of us are seeing things from a wider perspective.
