Hi,

I was just wondering whether there is any interest in the following players:

Wisdom
Ilori
Markovic
Lucas
Balotelli

I know Balo has been mentioned a lot on here and I have read about the interest in Markovic from Sporting.

Thanks.

VAI3064

{Ed002's Note - ILori's agent is hawking him around. Fiorentina and Schalke are interested in Markovic but want a better price. Galatasaray want permission to talk with Lucas - but they have serious financial constraints they have to deal with following their ban. Klopp was stupid enough to play in to the hands of Balotelli's agent - he is working on something now that suits him and the player. I have previously explained other interest. Do not be surprised if there is a six month loan before he moves.}

Intriguing 002.

2.) 22 Jul 2016 13:11:11
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I assume nobody is in for Wisdom then, I think he could do pretty well in the championship from the limited amount I've seen of him in the last season.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach being made to Liverpool at this time.}

3.) 22 Jul 2016 13:54:03
He wouldn't be a bad shout for Newcastle him and Hanley at cb.

I have seen that The Guardian are linking us with Ousmane Dembele (along with Dortmund) . I know he is linked with a number of clubs, could you clarify whether Liverpool are one of them? And also, which other clubs are interested? I searched the European pages and didn't find anything.

VAI3064

{Ed002's Note - Renne's Ousmane Dembele is seen as one for the future and has attracted the attention of Dortmund, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Marseille, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Seville, Roma, Leicester, Spurs, Liverpool, Lille and Manchester City amongst others. Dortmund have been negotiating a deal for the summer. Most others see the transfer fee as pretty outrageous.}

1.) 11 May 2016 13:29:06
Thanks for the reply - some pretty big names in there, it will be interesting to see if he lives up to the potential.

{Ed002's Note - I think that is the point - "potential". That is why most of these clubs step back when they hear the asking price.}

2.) 11 May 2016 13:50:15
Media outlets saying 28 million pounds for Dembele. Hope LFC steer clear because that price is just outrageous for a 18 year old when we already have our own teenage wingers to groom for the future.
Also hope the club pushes forward with a deal for Rafa Silva. Looks great, at least on youtube.

3.) 11 May 2016 16:37:51
Jordan Ibe has "potential" but Dembele is more than potential as he's already delivering. Ibe for example has the potential to be a very good player but Dembele already is, he has the potential to be truly world class. He has 12 goals and 5 assists in Ligue 1 this year, won young player of the year last week and has one of the highest whoscored ratings of any players in France. If your good enough your old enough is a saying that comes to mind. Leicester and Dortmund have been heralded for there scouting over recent years and they are two of the front runners for Dembele, that should tell us that the lads probably a good player. Dembele ruled Leicester out today, saying he was on the phone with Ranieri already, rumours are rife he was on the phone with Klopp was well and all went well. £27.5m is a lot of money for an 18 year old but it's a lot less then United payed for Martial, he turned out alright and wasn't as highly rated as this kid. Liverpool need good pacey wingers who can contribute goals to the team and Dembele fits the mould.

Donal dembele is delivering in France you can hardly compare him to ibe. I guarantee if you put ibe into a top 5 French club his stats would be a lot better. joe Cole looked a world beater again when we loaned him to lille.

6.) 12 May 2016 01:20:06
Not forgetting maclaren won dutch league with twente too.

7.) 12 May 2016 07:56:23
How much did Martial cost UTD? He has cemented his place on the left side, Didn't he?
Dembele is top class and all he needs is proper development and Liverpool could just provide that over any club. I could see a Hazzard in the kid. I hope we buy him.

8.) 12 May 2016 14:53:03
Borussia Dortmund confirm signing Ousmane Dembélé so people can put this one to bed.

Hi Eds,

I have seen a few things floating around this morning. The first is that Sakho will be allowed to leave - I have seen in the past that you have said we've priced him out of a move - is this likely to change? (I hope not!) Secondly, that Balotelli is a target for Sampdoria - given his wages and the wages that Sampdoria would likely be able to offer him, do you see him going there? Would we have to foot some of his yearly salary, if so?

Thanks.

VAI3064

{Ed001's Note - I hope we don't lower the price, but it is looking more likely we do. As for Balotelli, we are looking to offload him and so far the only way to do so seems to be a loan with us covering part of his wages. The main sticking point is the amount we have to cover.}

Sunderland Echo are this morning reporting that Sunderland are interested in taking Borini out on loan again. Any truth to this? Or are we looking to sell straight out?

13 Jul 2015 10:55:34
I have read that Jerome Sinclair has asked to leave the club after turning down a new contract, any truth in this?

VAI3064

1.) 13 Jul 2015 11:06:46
It appears to be true, he tweeted "Sometimes things just aren't meant to be! Exciting times though! New chapter pending, Can't wait to see where this year takes me??"

What a pity.

2.) 13 Jul 2015 11:27:33
Let's hope not, I think he has potential to be better than sturridge.

3.) 13 Jul 2015 11:53:00
You can't blame him. Needs to look after his career that will possibly be at a stand still at Liverpool.

If the news is true, I wish him all the best.

4.) 13 Jul 2015 12:58:17
His career wouldn't be at a standstill if he was getting 1st team experience on loan for the season.

5.) 13 Jul 2015 13:52:44
Or maybe he just sees no hope for him even after the loan is completed

6.) 13 Jul 2015 14:41:31
Maybe he's been told he doesn't have a future.

7.) 13 Jul 2015 15:37:04
Apparently which blows my mind he has turned down a contract due to the money. Kids driving ferraris and not willing to graft for the money. Hope its not true but seems to have been offered more money elsewhere. Its all about the money sadly.

8.) 13 Jul 2015 17:17:24
Sorry eds .............

{Ed002's Note - We are not going to get in to any of this.}

9.) 13 Jul 2015 18:05:10
Nothing I have seen suggests he will be better than Sturridge or anything like. If he carves out a career in the Championship he'll have done well for himself. Another case of a player wanting it all now?

Apparently Balotelli has rejected a move to the Middle East and an agreement in principle has been made with Fiorentina for Borini.

Any truth in this? Also, are there any other developments in regards to players leaving? Thanks.

VAI3064

{Ed002's Note - It is correct but Borini will initially be a loan.}

1.) 07 Aug 2015 14:40:34
It should be a loan to buy because Italian teams always have a loan with option to buy for an agreed price, but, always do that with no intention of paying that amount.

2.) 07 Aug 2015 17:52:27
Will no doubt be stuck with a lot of such players come the end of window. Mario needs to be gone at all costs!

01 Feb 2014 00:18:05
Hi Eds,
I just have a quick question in regards to a release clause. If a clause is in the contract that allows a player and his agent to talk to clubs when it is activated, how is it 'legal' that an owner can then refuse to sign it off? Doesn't that make release clauses null and void?

Thanks in advance.

VAI3064

{Ed001's Note - it depends on the wording within the contract.}

Sturridge gone? What the hell game were you watching? He was dropping deep trying to get the ball because it was just being kicked long to him constantly in the second half and he couldn't do anything with the ball. Sturridge and Kolo for me were the only players to actually turn up last night for me.

I doubt Lallana or Lovren are going anywhere this summer, I also think it's highly unlikely we'll be able to get anyone to take Balo from us and finally, Joe Allen won't leave with Rodgers in charge, surely.

Reddit is like a forum with sub-forums and reddit.com/r/soccer decided to start a rumour about Balo to Stoke in order to see which media outlets or 'ITK' people picked it up. For example footyblog.net and some twitter guy picked it up.

VAI3064

{Ed002's Note - Thanks - people should not bring that stuff here really.}

Rumour started on Reddit.

VAI3064

{Ed002's Note - I have not heard of that before. What happened to the Koptalk or whatever that the fat kid was running - nobody mentions it any more. Is it still going?
