Question for Ed2 if i may, which i can't see has been asked, why do you do this? Is it just to educate us mere mortals? You share your considerable knowledge, yet time and time again you have to deal with numpties giving you grief just for telling the truth.

Anyhow i, and no doubt the majority of the decent posters, really appreciate everything you and the other Eds do!

Take it easy :)

{Ed002's Note - It is a social service to try and bring a little light to the lives of the shaven-headed, lager-swilling, pot-bellied, tattooed knuckledragging oafs that support the club.}

1.) 14 Aug 2017 21:48:15
And it's much appreciated ed002, let me know when your in town so I can take you to a pit pony race and take you for a nice fried curry 👍😂.

2.) 14 Aug 2017 21:51:41
I have hair, rarely drink, am closer to under than over weight and have no tattoos Ed. Does that put me in the glifnard category instead then? 😢😂

In all seriousness though, I think I speak for a vast majority here when I say that we really do appreciate the time you put into this site. I cannot thank you and the other Editors enough for the work you all do. Thank you!

{Ed002's Note - Actually you sound OK. I would not want may daughters near you, but I would let you cut my lawn.}

3.) 14 Aug 2017 21:55:01
TK if we didn’t have the eds and their great service, LFC fans would always be on the FSG/ Klopp out bandwagon thanks to twitter and bs media.

Still quite a few of twitter believers on here who are the ones to give the eds grief but it doesn't deter them luckily from helping the genuine fans and we appreciate all the hard work you lot do 😄.

4.) 14 Aug 2017 22:44:40
He would let you cut his lawn but wouldn't hang his underpants on the line for fear of you pocketing them and selling them to your special friends.

{Ed002's Note - How much would you pay for them Davey?}

5.) 14 Aug 2017 22:44:52
Ditto. Top stuff,

6.) 14 Aug 2017 22:54:55
I second that. Thanks for all the excellent work eds 👍🙏.

7.) 14 Aug 2017 22:55:00
The same price you paid for them at Primark😉.

{Ed002's Note - I only first found out what Primark was this weekend Davey. Seriously.}

8.) 14 Aug 2017 23:13:35
Don't go in there with any of your wives ed you won't make it out alive.

9.) 14 Aug 2017 23:15:58
An initiation ceremony then.

10.) 14 Aug 2017 23:17:34
{Ed002's Note - I only first found out what Primark was this weekend Davey. Seriously. }

Well I am surprised, a knowledgeable person such as yourself, an American as well . Primark is an American national treasure been going for over 100 years now.

{Ed002's Note - No idea about that Roy. I only found out this weekend due to slightly odd circumstances. Not involving me but a daughter of friends of d=friends who had to do some sort of challenge.}

11.) 15 Aug 2017 00:08:59
Was the challenge trying to find an item of clothing that was on the right hanger ed002?

12.) 15 Aug 2017 00:11:32
Ed I'm slightly offended. I'll have you know I don't have a single tattoo. And my head isn't shaven. it's just all falling out.

In all seriousness, appreciate what you all do. Including that serial drinker ed025 (he's not an alcoholic, he doesn't go to meetings :) ) . Even if your taste in music is not the best, and that video game you recommended me I'd never heard of seemed silly. What was that game again. it's an old game with an alliterative name.

{Ed002's Note - I am not a video game player - perhaps one of the others mentioned one.}

13.) 15 Aug 2017 09:57:34
No it's not roy. It's an Irish company.

14.) 15 Aug 2017 13:01:27
Leisure suit Larry in the Land of Lounge Lizards. How could I ever forget. Pretty sure you recommended that ed002.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, that would be me.}

15.) 15 Aug 2017 16:56:45
Primark never heard of it, I have heard of the designer fashion house of primarni 😉.

i've been reminiscing about John Barnes, oh my days what a player. How much would he worth today? vid i found, enjoy :)

1.) 16 Apr 2018 23:58:22
Couldn't put a figure on it . But surely a world record fee . Certainly one of the most gifted players we've had in the red jersey.

2.) 17 Apr 2018 00:28:53
Fantastic. Had the pleasure of seeing him live from the Kop once or twice. Amazing compilation. It's clear that what ever any player in modern football has done, Digger did it already! (That scissor kick! )

3.) 17 Apr 2018 00:50:56
Totally agree, amazing player (and not too shabby a rapper ;-) )

He was the English equivalent of Maradonna with the strength AND the skill, IMO.

4.) 17 Apr 2018 08:24:16
In Top Five Liverpool players ever. Wonderfully skilled, brave and with such a footballing brain. He lit up Anfield so often with his fantastic play. In another world he might have gone on to manage the team in a succession after The King but it wasn’t to be.

5.) 17 Apr 2018 09:09:23
I started supporting Liverpool early 80s and i used love digger. He could dribble and shoot with that left foot much like our Egyptian king of today💪.

6.) 17 Apr 2018 09:29:45
This Man is the sole purpose I started supporting Liverpool all those years ago
My all time fave player followed by Rob Jones
What a player Barnes was one of the best never to be fully appreciated by the England fans sadly.

7.) 17 Apr 2018 09:33:15
When you mention John Barnes, surely you got to mention Peter Beardsley too! Btw when I see John Barnes video, i thought Ojo had a similar style.

8.) 17 Apr 2018 09:35:34
Amazing player. Was my hero as a kid. I think he has been a bit under estimated of late. I agree, one of the best players to have played here, or anywhere. Showed the Brazilians how it's done!

9.) 17 Apr 2018 10:28:36
Yeah, he was awesome. My all time favourite LFC player, i just don't think he was fully appreciated (apart from by LFC fans) . In today's world he'd be talked about, in my opinion, in the same breath as Messi and Ronaldo.

10.) 17 Apr 2018 10:46:04
One of the legends of Liverpool's history fabulous player and a gent.

11.) 17 Apr 2018 12:38:12
I was directly behind that Scissor Kick.

We were away to Blackburn, and at the time I lived pretty much across the road from Ewood Park.

12.) 17 Apr 2018 13:24:48
Favourite player of all time! one of the main reasons i loved Football and Liverpool.

15 Mar 2018 22:40:16
Alright Ed01 hope all's well mate, some cracking stuff being rolled out at the mo! You still doing your legends profiles? Is Fernando Redondo on the list? Would love to hear your thought's on him. Keep up the great work.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate and yes. Still working on Cruyff, just so much to read on him it is taking some time to put together so I had a break to put some other articles out in the meantime.}

1.) 16 Mar 2018 07:23:37
Redondo was one of the most elegant players and technically gifted midfielders I have ever watched. He looked like he was walking while others were running and breaking sweat on the pitch, making football effortless and easy. What a player!

2.) 16 Mar 2018 08:36:41
He'll always be remembered particularly for that remarkable assist for Raul at Old Trafford.

3.) 16 Mar 2018 08:50:56
Are you going to do one for Stoichkov ed?

{Ed001's Note - of course mate, he is a proper legend. Loved seeing him play.}

4.) 16 Mar 2018 10:54:17
I'll always remember Redondo for a number of reasons, one that he was so elegant he made the game look easy, two that season when he was injured in Serie A he handed his salary back as he said that he did not deserve it and three, that time he put Gary Neville on his arse after nutmegging him. A real joy to watch in midfield and one of my favourite ever non Liverpool players.

5.) 22 Mar 2018 19:16:08
Can't wait to see it edd, as he is a big legend here in my contry.

{Ed001's Note - I think he is a huge legend pretty much everywhere football is big.}

06 Jan 2018 21:11:41
Chin up Ed01, YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - cheers Toe Knee!}

28 Nov 2017 21:58:31
Ed01, alright mate, just to change the subject and sorry for posting here. what's your thoughts on Marco Van Basten, for me the most complete centre forward i've ever seen.

{Ed001's Note - he is certainly one of the best ever, it is a shame his career ended early as he was a wonderful player. Sadly most of his career was while I was a kid, so too young to appreciate him and there was very little coverage on TV to watch him and realise just how good he was. His technique was incredible and he could score goals that seemed impossible. When you think back on it, to compare him with someone playing now, it is like someone had Harry Kane on FIFA and upgraded all his stats. He just seems like he was better and all the Dutch strikers that came after are in his shadow.}

1.) 29 Nov 2017 07:41:31
Ed01, I watched Van Basten play at the Euros and during his Serie A days IMO at the time, he was my idol as a teenager growing up and he was breath-taking. Many believe he was/ is simply the best CF to ever play the game esp. in his prime at Milan and with the Dutch team. Considered as the best youth product to ever come out of the famed Ajax academy since a certain Johan Cruyff (third was Dennis Bergkamp), Van Basten due to his ability as a ballet dancer during his childhood, is the most elegant striker to ever play the game. He made the hardest things look so easy.

As you say ed, his technique and awareness on the pitch, was unreal. Marco could drop deep and play the no. 10 role and his ability to assist was near on par with his ability to score goals. Injury took him from us in his late 20's and it took Milan a LONG time to find his replacement until another legend, a certain George Oppong Weah, arrived at Milan and Adriano Galliani could finally rest easy. Marco was my best CF ever UNTIL a certain buck-toothed Phenomenon/ Extra-Terrestrial named Ronaldo, appeared.

{Ed001's Note - not Pele then?}

2.) 29 Nov 2017 08:54:41
Never thought Bingo is older than Ed01 ☺️.

{Ed001's Note - you are older than me Harry!}

3.) 29 Nov 2017 09:07:36
Which I won’t deny Ed01. You are the youngest around here. Aren’t you? Closely followed by Ed025 ☺️☺️☺️.

{Ed001's Note - not that closely, just the 50 years between us!}

4.) 29 Nov 2017 09:19:03
That goal against Russia and one of the best if not best keepers at the time.

5.) 29 Nov 2017 11:27:24
Ed01 for me, Pele is the best player and the most complete footballer ever. He's not the best CF, IMO tho. I used the phenomenon/ extra-terrestrial name for Ronaldo as that was what he was called by the media, team mates and opponents at the time as he seemed out of this world and to some extent, he was.

{Ed001's Note - but Pele was a CF though.}

6.) 29 Nov 2017 12:38:42
Interesting to listen to Ray Wilkins when AC Milan told him he had to leave as they were signing his replacement.

Marco Van Basten. Wilkins says I just told them I'd pack my bags.

7.) 29 Nov 2017 12:48:39
Cheers ed01 really appreciate u taking the time to respond. For me he had it all pace, power, finess, touch etc etc shame his career ended at 29. Keep up the great work mate.

{Ed001's Note - I literally could not think of a weakness in his game, other than the early retirement. Unless he was poor in the air, I can't remember what he was like with his head at all.}

8.) 29 Nov 2017 14:19:15
He was good in the air.
Never thought of MvB as having great pace though.

{Ed001's Note - it is acceleration that is more important for a finisher than outright pace and I seem to remember him having that. By the way I have watched a fair bit of that Leeds defender you wanted a profile on, should get it done in the next week or so but he reminds me a lot of Lovren I must say.}

9.) 29 Nov 2017 14:34:48
One of the best headers of the ball, Ed. Marco was unbelievable simply put and I am glad that I saw him play for a while before his injuries. A true legend of the game.

10.) 29 Nov 2017 18:27:03
Thanks Ed.

My memory is never a good yardstick but I remember MvB as being a perfect technician. That included his movement, positioning and awareness. He didn't really need pace, he was always one step ahead of the game.

{Ed001's Note - at your age you have to expect the faculties to go.}

23 Aug 2017 21:47:31
Alright ED01 hope you're well mate. Any chance of match review when you have a moment please?

{Ed001's Note - I will do one in the morning mate, it's 1am here and the sites are busy, so I will be editing until I get too tired to stay awake.}

1.) 23 Aug 2017 22:02:25
Cheers mate and totally understand :)

{Ed001's Note - thanks mate.}

Cheers ed01 and Fruit Salah and no Brezteke certainly not drunk. Sanchez has not impressed me in the slightest and is one of the factors for spurs inconsistent form as poch is trying to shoe horn him into the team.

{Ed001's Note - I agree with you Tk, not a fan of him at all. He is not in the same class as the two Belgians.}

I don’t think you will LSD as anyone who thinks Sanchez has been class has not been watching the same player as I have. I remember the Europa final where he was completely hyped and was the worst player on the pitch. Good thing about football is we all have opinions. You keep Sanchez and I’m happy with VVD (ps I’ll chuck in Migs) 😀.

Are you having a laugh LSD? Sanchez is woeful, Toby and Vertonghen on the other hand are class.

To be fair the thing about your messi's, maradona's, ronaldo's (r9) is that they are almost as quick with the ball as they are without and can change direction without seeming to lose control or pace!

Nice review mate, i always felt that over the first 5-10 yards (and in his head) he had blistering pace? A true all time great, but for me he will always be below Maradona. now that's a review i'm looking forward to!

{Ed001's Note - he does have incredible acceleration.}

Sure did ed01, his face was a picture after the decision. Realising he’d had one big time and when he looked across he realised his only back up was Atkinson who is equally as bad. Surely it has to be more than luck that Real and Barcelona get these decisions so regularly?

{Ed001's Note - well yes, partly it is because they get into the box more often, partly it is because they dive more than most when the opportunity presents but yes, I would say there is no luck involved.}
