Hi Eds,

Any ideas on whether Victor Moses is a 6 month or Season long loan as I've been very disappointed with him. He seem slow and lethargic and not quick enough on the ball to suit the kind of game we want to play.
I'd much rather see Ibe or even Alberto before him. He's more suited as a Striker(a position he's never been used in) While Sturridge is out I'd like to see BR try that 3-5-2 Formation he uses with S&S with Suarez and Moses.
I think its the only style that could get something out of Moses. Otherwise we may as well ship him back to Chelsea.
Hoping or January 2014 is as good as 2013's

{Ed002's Note - It is a season long loan.}

Liverpool play with 10 and a half men as long as Gerrard is in the squad.
He strolls around like a Father getting a game at a kids five a side. No legs, struggling to keep up. Ball watching, yet demands the the ball but whenever he gets it the play seems to slow down. There is not enough fast pace passing when he is playing. No movement in central midfield as he is so static. He plays in a position that was created to accommodate him in the team, yes "CREATED TO ACCOMMODATE HIM". That is the problem with our team. Yes he has his one or two hollywood balls that may come off but if you weigh up the pro's with the con's it don't make sense to have him in the starting lineup. He ball watches so often, does not have the positioning and brain of a defensive midfielder(who after he lost his marker last night should have put himself between jovetic and the keeper, instead he wondered into the middle). He is a liability along with Johnson(thats another story).
Gerrard needs to be benched and needs to play out his days as a final 20 minutes of the game substitute. I feel Gerrard is being treated as Royalty and BR feels that he needs to play Gerrard as long as Gerrard feels he can play, and going up against Gerrard the legend may have the fans turn against him and also may feel like it would be disrespectful to the Legend. BR is waiting for Gerrard to step up and admit it but his desperation for a title just won't allow him. He needs to realise that he can still win a title from the bench and that he is being carried in this team of youngsters, and furthermore is holding everyone back from achieving their true potential.
Just like a father getting a 5 a side game with his kids mates . None of the kids want to be disrespectful and tell him he sucks and is spoiling the game. Everyone is just getting on with it.

Amazing team set up by BR. Wish he's with us for at least 20 years.

Man Utd have strength has always been their flanks, be it wingers or fullbacks and even after them not finding a replacement for Keane and Scholes, their flanks has been the main reason why they kept going.
I am so surprised that BR has been the only manager who's realised that all one has to do is disable their flanks.
Henderson and Allen were brilliant. Doubling up and providing an extra layer on the fullbacks, which apart from the one run by Utds fullback that set up Rooneys shot and Mignolets' save, didn't budge.
Carrick and Felaini are both slow, so BR put pace at the top of the diamond and Sterling pressed both of them whenever they got the ball.
I'm loving the fact that BR is maturing and growing as a manager and showing the critics that he is not just fixed to one style and way of playing. He can also disable opponents from playing.
Gerrard has been brilliant recently. I was one of those critics at first when he first was put into the "libero" roll but BR has made the correct adjustments and given him the cover he needs.

My only concern now is how Lucas getting more attacking in his play. Lucas has been a good Defensive Midfield player for us but can't really see him replacing Gerrard in the Libero position unless its as a late substitute for Gerrard. Lucas will be asked to play further up the pitch and just hope he can develop a more forward thinking attack minded approach to his game(as he is so good at just keeping it simple with a high pass rate full of simple passes.
With this Diamond formation the team somehow seems to have more depth in the squad. We not lacking wingers, as there arn't any in this formation. We need attacking fullbacks.

Lucas, allen, henderson (have 2 places to fight for)
Sterling, Coutinho, Texeira (have 1 place to fight for)

Defensively we are looking much more solid and if we set up like this against spurs, city, and chelsea. I cannot see any of those teams getting a win againt us.

I Believe.

Hoping BR is with us for the at least the next 20 years.
The man will have Anfield Gates named after him and the sculptor should start work.

Been a fan of Henderson this season and it was a great finish for his goal but I feel he has really exposed us defensively today. His legs and pressing seems to be missing today and he's not helping Gerrard in the defensive midfield position which has been giving Shelvey and swansea way too much space between our midfield and defence. Furthermore we've been defending way too deep as bony does not possess much of a threat with his pace. Hope BR gives them a bit of a wake up.

BANTER PLEASE/

Good performance, bad result. I know Sturridge must be gutted as he knows he should have buried a couple and on another day the timing of Fabianski's save with his foot would have been too slow to stop suarez's shot. An YES we should have had a second penalty . BUT we should just take it as a blessing in disguise. I would have loved for Liverpool to WIN the FA Cup but if we were not going to would prefer to get knocked out now rather than play 3 more games(if there aren't any replays) and lose in the final.
We have 12 games to go, not extra games or potential replays. Its all set up and we need to try to win every game.

The "New FSG" types of contracts are performance based. Rafa had attracted his signings on huge basic wages whether they played or not, whether they performed or not, they would get their huge salaries. And for a team not consistently in the championsleague it is not financially viable nor good business practice to hand out contracts with massive basics. That is what drove the club almost to bankruptcy. FSG's number 1 objective was to get rid of all the huge basics. One of the reasons agger, reina etc was moved on. Johnson surely has been offered a new contract but with a massive reduction in basic with high performance bonus which he refuses to take. Only SKrtel, Gerrard, and Lucas remain on these huge basics. FSG has all the newcomers on the new style performance contracts and sterling(or his agent) feels why sign when he can get a better basic elsewhere(and the agent gets a better cut off a basic). But this type of contracts will keep us financially sound and the players hungry for success.

{Ed002's Note - Given the wage bill at LFC it is not working then.}
