Most of you know I rarely post rumours, but today i was shown a photograph of 5 people in a restaurant in liverpool. Nothing special but it included Stevie G, Skyrtl and Doctor Zaf, plus two other gents. I arrived home to find Doctor Zaf sacked.very strange and no idea why Skyrtl was there, didn't realise he was a big mate of Gerard. No rumour, just interesting. maybe?

Tel 1949

1.) 08 Jan 2015 19:37:00
Was it not from a birthday? Saw a few pics today can't remember whos but was allot of players there.

2.) 08 Jan 2015 19:38:45
Was Skrtles birthday if it is the same pics

3.) Ok Marco, never realised skytrl birthday, that settles tham rumour then !

4.) 08 Jan 2015 19:50:22
Google liverpool birthday Tel and its top of page. If it is from that.

5.) 08 Jan 2015 20:59:42
Google Skrtel Birthday and look at the piccies. If they wearing the same clothes then it's the same event. At his bash Skrtel looks like he's wearing a dark crew neck sweater with a white shirt underneath. Matching earrings handbag and stillettos, with an in season permed shaved head.

6.) 08 Jan 2015 21:00:05
No, it wasnt from that marco, it was in a small cafe/ restaurant, not very glitzy, and they wernt dressed up. Photo was from someone who spotted them today sitting around a fairly plane looking table somewhere. Definitely today, because when it arrived he brought picture over to show his pal with gerard. No idea what purpose of meeting was, prob nothing to be fair, it was just news so thought i would share.

7.) 09 Jan 2015 13:25:48
It's a new indian restaurant in mount pleasant
Apparently Gerrard is a big fan and some of the other players go there quite often

8.) 09 Jan 2015 14:25:41
Goodbye drinks/meal for the Doctor?

9.) 10 Jan 2015 01:09:54
Skrtel goes anywhere. I've seen him sitting outside Costa coffee in speke retail a few times. Next stop the lobster pot with Paco Ayesteran shocker

2.) Do I win a box of chocolates eds for first confirmation of konoplyankas transfer?

{Ed001's Note - yeah, just pop down to Thorntons tomorrow to pick it up.}

27 Jan 2014 21:23:50

Long time since I posted, but I went to the game yesterday, my pal spoilt me and got some nice free tickets along with meal in the Paisley bar. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the new stand is absolutely huge!
We have an awesome team, not perfect in every area but full of intensity, skill and in some cases just shear stamina. I am really looking forward to the season and fingers crossed we should be up there or thereabouts near the end of the season.
The one key difference between Man United and Liverpool this year is the word TEAM. United have some great players but not a great team spirit. Liverpool have some great players and a great team spirit. Personally its all down to the managers for me, but just seeing the look on Fergies face today made my week, he had a smile like a baboons rectum, classic!

1.) 23 Oct 2016 20:47:24
what a great game to get free tickets for. excitement for the whole 90 odd mins. and the right result. you should go more often.

2.) 23 Oct 2016 22:54:02
I bet it was brill mate, what a great weekend of football for Liverpool fans.

3.) 23 Oct 2016 23:02:00
Good to see you back posting on here Tel.

4.) 23 Oct 2016 23:30:45
It's a long time since my last match visit to Anfield - October 1986 won 4-0.
I shall be at the Watford match and am hoping for a similar result. At the same time I would say that I am sure that one of these days we are really going to thrash some opposition. What we usually face is the De Gea from Monday and not the De Gea from 30 seconds into today's match. Had the same goal been scored on Monday I am sure we would have at least equalled Chelsea's total. Still - we are going in the right direction.

Small contribution ED01, I sold one of my Crimean medals in auction for you. ( not ) £10 is the least i can contribute. so i made it £20 just in case! Have a gudun and thanks for keeping the site open :-)

Tel 1949

{Ed001's Note - when you do decide to sell those medals, it will probably fund a takeover of LFC! Thank you Tel, I really appreciate it.}

Welcome to LFC Steven. just give everything you have to every game, keep focused for 90 mins and you never know, you may become a fans favourite in weeks. Ideal opportunity for you to show your qualities. Ps some of the comments on here don't represent the huge majority of fans, be patient, take your chance, and good luck for the future.

well said tel, i know he is not the big name we all want but any big name who comes in may be not as good for us and then we have wasted a lot of money because of his big name, maybe the fans would have been happy then, klopp knows what we need and he knows what players we need, if people on here want to slag him off before he has played for us then that's down to them and you will find out that if he plays well these people won't hold there hand up and come out and say i ripped him before he played for us and he has proved me wrong, for me as long as he does a good job for us i will be happy he is under no pressure and will play like that so he could be a good signing for us.

2.) 12 Jan 2016 23:21:56
Well said Tel, some of us realise that it's realistic options we have to go for (especially this month) and he's available NOW, has experience of the PL, is good in the air and willing to come! Some still expected us to get players like Hummels etc, so of course they will be disappointed!

26 Dec 2015 21:13:43
I went to see the game today against Leicester. I havnt been for a while and to be honest i had sort of convinced myself that we would be lucky if we scrapped a draw. The atmosphere at the start reminded me of years gone by, when genuine child like excitement and expectations filled the ground. I was impressed, so waited in awe. I was not dissapointed. We are certainly not the finished article, but we were good, very good. Of course there were times when silly passes brought me down to earth again, and i realised we have a long way to go. But we played well and deserved to win easily. Lovren and Lallana were both outstanding, and until his injury, i thought Origi did an excellent job, get well soon Divoc.
Going back to anfield was a memorable experience and once again confirmed to me why i love this club. Good honest endeavour sprinkled with some tasty skils from our boys. Well done Mr Klopp, the tactics were spot on, and we got 3 massive points from the in form team sitting at the top of the league. Make no mistake, it was hard and they fought well, but we were better, . ps happy new year to Eds and everyone connected with this wonderful site.

The contrast from the Watford game is extraordinary!
Thing is we hadn't won in a long time, we needed the result today.
Anyone else feel as if it seems like the big games are easier?

2.) 26 Dec 2015 22:33:41
Said it months ago. There isn't many big games were going to lose. No worries with them, its games like the last month which are going to be our downfall, palace, Newcastle, Watford.

More tactics than teams.

If we have more of the ball we dint seem to have that edge about us to get the wins, when we need to ckhnter attack then were great but there few and far between and are usually playing the big teams when they step out with the ball.

On another note lovrens looking like a bargain, lallanas coming along nicely just needs to get his final ball sorted (shooting and crossing), when the boys turn up there isn't many gaos that need filling for me we still need something else in the mid though, someone to step up or buy (I'm not sure what it is, maybe goals haha) but yeah the middle needs something, and then just pick who is going to be the starting striker when fkt and start learning to play wjyh him, benteke and origi require different game plans and if were going to get better we need to pick one.

Brjng on the next game and well do fellas today 😊.

3.) 26 Dec 2015 23:56:57
The OP is spot on. We were very good today. Lovren had his best game as a Red today and Lallana really needs to sort his head and his decision making out because he doesn't release the ball when needed and crosses without ever looking up. Apart from that, we were really good and kept their attack in check the whole game.

This was a game we really needed to win because without it, we would have been left behind in the top four race. For now, we're in the mix till the next game. Klopp and the boys can get some confidence from this for the next game. We are still a work in progress but we need more consistency performance wise to gain confidence.

4.) 27 Dec 2015 04:09:46
i don't normally post after a match but I do agree with the posts above. The big flag that normally sails across the kop came over the lower centenary today and I must admit put everyone in good spirits and song and I thought the atmosphere was brilliant this afternoon and possibly the best I've seen all season so far.

The game was one sided all afternoon, but we just lack a bit of spark or creativity in the final third

I imagine the possession stats must be something like Liverpool 70% and Leicester 30%

I am not going to start digging players out as I thought as a unit we worked hard and looked hungry today.

WTF was the lallana booking all about? I can't remember what Leicester player it was but he just booted the ball up his backside from a free kick and lallana got booked for obstructing play. surely the ref can't allow a quick free kick and have all opposition players 10 yards from the all at the same time?

5.) 27 Dec 2015 07:18:13
The referee wasn't even facing it, he was walking away and only when Leicester players moaned that he turned around. Watched all the game, very good performance, only bad points were, too often we get in good scoring positions only for a poor or wrong pass/ shot costing a goal, (benteke last minute), sakho seems to be our Titus Bramble, can be excellent but always does mistakes, and firmino disappears in every game especially physical ones, what we need probably not now but in the summer is instead of another full team of new players, top money on centre back, centre midfielder who is excellent breaking up play but can pass forward not sideways, we have good options when everyone's fit in attack, only questionable position is keeper, some days outstanding others not so, but show me a keeper who is available now that would be better.

01 Nov 2015 10:55:58
chelsea fans, their manager and the team needt to reassess where they are. EVERY team gets poor decisions from linesmen and refs, so what? that's partly why this is a beautiful game and adds to the excitement. Its how a team fights its way through the troubled times that show the real character of the team. Last season we were seriously lacking in any form of team spirit, but we are now starting to show some of the mettle that all good teams have. Chelsea had it two years ago, but they have focussed all their energy on moaning that they have lost their way. Costa is an animal that should never be allowed on an English pitch and he along with some of his moaning team mates need to sort themselves out. The class shown by Skyrtl in that awful tackle, compared to the crowd around the ref trying to get Lucas sent off for a non foul says it all. They knew without Lucas and only 10 men they may have a chance, but why not win a game in a fair and honest way, like LFC did?
Well done to all the boys and the team spirit generated by Klopp on this young group of players. We played OK, beat the champions on their home ground, but most importantly, we won the moral high ground and showed some class, unlike chelsea. i'm a happy chappy today.

Fine post'Tel', my sentiments exactly. There's no place to hide in the EPL, not even for the 'Special One'. 'The king is in his altogether'!

2.) 01 Nov 2015 12:12:40
Well said Tel, good to have you back posting again.

3.) 01 Nov 2015 14:19:18
Costa is no different to Suarez all we all loved Suarez when he played for us. I have also seen Gerrard in his day having "a word" with the ref to make sure he came to the right decision.

{Ed001's Note - that is why I never liked Suarez either.}

4.) 01 Nov 2015 15:38:11
Careful Ed001, Harry might have an aneurysm if you talk about Suarez like that!

{Ed001's Note - at least we would get peace then!}

5.) 01 Nov 2015 17:14:46
That's ok AG. I have my hands on Lucas 😎😎😎😎.

6.) 01 Nov 2015 18:48:32
That sounds like something Lucas or for that matter, anyone, would want you avoid Harry. Keep your hands to yourself lad ;)

All barca have to do is put a 50 mill price tag on sanchez, that should stop everyone like arsenal in their tracks. Its a fictitious price which can be added to price for suarez. simples!

Grino75, why don't you stopslagging our players off before they've even touched a ball this season? Moreno is a decent player along with Mignolet, they need SUPPORTERS to start supporting, its not a difficult concept to get behind the team and boost their confidence before every game, instead of making them less confident, simple eh?

im not a doctor, but presume it depends on exactly what is broken in his hand. i broke my wrist once and it was painful for over 4 months. and it took me a while after that before i could use it properly. if its a single broken bone, i suppose it is more straight forward. any doctors out there who can advise?

mourinho is a good manager, no doubt, but he uses the same formula wherever he goes. he buys the best players available at any given time, then tries to mould them into a team. Eds right, he has a huge job on his hands, but there are a number of factors not in his favour. One is that the current breed of top players are a different breed to the ones in his heyday. some of them on huge wages don't appear to have the same incentive to play as a team, eg current Chelsea squad that he built or players like Balotelli etc. Klopps plan is more about getting some top players, but primarily those who really want to play forr their wages eg Suarez type.
United are a great club but it could be a long road back for them, especially with the abrasive attitude of Mourinho at times. Some modern players don't like to told what to do, as Van Gaal found out with some of his buys. We shall see.
