Hi Eds,

Was wondering if LFC was looking at Feghouli of Valencia?
Seems like a player with some skills and is supposedly out of contract in the summer.
Thanks.

TeeKaye

{Ed002's Note - Whilst Valencia's Sofiane Feghouli was stalling on signing a new contract, his agents were scurrying around looking for interest in the player and they have found it in Inter who looked to a pre-agreement in January - but Inter's cash flow has dried up and they are not in any sort of a position to place a security deposit equal to the signing on fee in escrow. Both Fenerbahce and Manchester United asked about buying Feghouli at a reduced price in January and that would have possibly suited the player - but not his club. Interest of the likes of Juventus, Liverpool and Milan remains no more than speculation as far as anyone even vaguely close to the situation is aware and given that all three clubs could talk to the player now it seems surprising that they have not. Dark horses are perhaps Roma, but Inter do remain keen and Fenerbahce may return. Manchester United walked away after third party advice suggested he would not be any sort of improvement over what they have already. In the mean time, Valencia has said they will meet his salary demands but are reluctant to pay a very significant "re-signing on fee" his agent is requesting.}

Hi eds,
Was wondering if you have some info about our youngsters Wilson and Kent? Are they in our future or.?
Seems like they have the talent and are playing well, but somethings off. Get the «Pacheco/ Suso feeling» about them.
Have tried the searchengine.

TeeKaye

{Ed001's Note - Wilson is in the balance, but Kent, as of now, looks to be on his way out.}

1.) 01 May 2017 16:33:02
Why is Wilson only in the balance ed, he has been scoring for fun in the under 23's as captain, has he not caught the eye in training when with the first team?

{Ed001's Note - he has been scoring, but he is not quite doing enough to guarantee him a long term future. At 20 he has to be doing more.}

2.) 01 May 2017 16:51:14
Cheers Ed, so what does he need to do more of or improve on to make that next step, appreciate your views.

{Ed001's Note - the obvious answer is play better. Train harder, stay behind after training and work on his game. He has to go that extra mile, as there are a ton of quality youngsters around, he needs to do that bit more to show he deserves the chance.}

3.) 01 May 2017 17:04:50
He's 20 and never really looked like getting a real look in other than when we had a real injury crisis and fixture crisis earlier this season. His loans into men's football have never gone well meaning he has no trust from the management he has shown that he can't adapt to playing against men and has had injury problems along with billy big balls problems after his wales call up aged 15. He's done very well this year but perhaps he's at his level? Pre season isn't really a judge for a player so perhaps a loan to a championship side until January next season would if he performs gain him some trust. If he doesn't want that he will probably sold for £4/ 5m in the summer.

4.) 01 May 2017 17:17:38
If he's not showing enough passion, commitment and wanting to better himself then why is he captain? Shouldn't a captain, even at youth level be a player that's already shown these?

{Ed001's Note - I never said he didn't show them, I said he needs to show more.}

5.) 01 May 2017 18:14:52
He should be on the bench and given a run out where and when it suits to give him a chance. He deserves it big time imo.

6.) 01 May 2017 17:46:06
He needs to be given a chance. Only then will we see if he is good enough, I will be very disappointed to see him leave without being given a chance to prove himself.

7.) 01 May 2017 17:55:40
Selling Harry Wilson a guy who scored like 27 goals really?

8.) 01 May 2017 18:33:15
Are people skeptical on someone who scored 23 goals in the U23 this season. Oh my!

9.) 01 May 2017 19:04:12
I don't get it either Harry! I thought a strikers job was to score goals? I couldn't care if he was the first one home every night if he was scoring 20+ goals a season. I wouldn't give that type of player the captaincy but I don't see why it should stop him given chances. He's obviously talented enough.

10.) 01 May 2017 19:08:25
I didn't say you did ed, sorry if I made my post sound different than what I meant. I said if he wasn't showing enough of those things. Surely there's a talented lad that's giving his all that would maybe deserve the arm band more. I know there's more to being a captain than effort etc but at youth level I think it would send out a strong message if the captain was the lad who was flogging his guts out week in week out. I possibly read your post more negative than you meant originally 😁.

{Ed001's Note - got you no worries mate.}

11.) 01 May 2017 22:06:52
Wilson is a good player but I feel he is a bit predictable -
he has a sweet left foot but overuses it so every defender knows that he is going to shift to his left when he gets the ball. He has come back well from his injury and in my opinion has improved this season but enough? He needs to be constantly aware that he is in danger of being overtaken by others who are hungrier and so make sure he is the hungriest. Also don't forget a number of his goals have come from penalties so stats don't prove everything.

12.) 02 May 2017 08:20:15
So basically, Wilson is doing everything on the pitch but not enough off it? In terms of attitude?

Rumours that Andy Hughes, Liverpool's Chief Financial Officer is now the New director of the clubs.
Eds?

TeeKaye

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, I really don't know.}

09 Mar 2016 18:44:03
Do anyone (Eds) know why Suso and Pacheco didn't get more chances with us?
I gress it was most likely their mentality, but can anyone specify what happened? They both have/ had great technical ability and looked like they were great talents.

Thanks for the reply.

TeeKaye

{Ed002's Note - It is not possible to play everyone and Liverpool have for many years had no real plan to develop young players. A bloated squad takes opportunity away. Soon you can add Teixeira to the list.}

1.) 09 Mar 2016 19:50:14
Eds, do you think Klopp will change that and start creating plans on how to develop the younger players, thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Klopp.}

2.) 09 Mar 2016 21:06:23
Poor Tex 😞

He's a good player IMO.

3.) 10 Mar 2016 08:00:37
I agree ron, his problem though is he is slightly below the level of what we have in his position but not by a great deal. A move for him would be the best outcome, i can see him developing into an outstanding player unlike other fans favs who have moved on. I could see him doing very well in spain if he got an opportunity.

{Ed001's Note - is he though? I think he would offer more incisiveness than Milner or Lallana and could have been an option when one or other was either rested or out injured/suspended.}

4.) 10 Mar 2016 15:30:12
we need to learn from this with stewart and chrivella, yes they have both signed new long term deals, but do we have a path to the 1st team worked out for both players?

5.) 10 Mar 2016 16:15:32
Don't forget Ojo kk. He's going to be a quality player.

6.) 10 Mar 2016 17:58:55
I have not forgotten ojo ron, I just used the players mentioned because the problem with tex, amongst others was that we kept blocking there path to the 1st team, we need to learn from this. I would love to see ojo play in the 1st team this season.

Ødegaard has a lot of belief in himself, and he felt that the plan Real Madrid sold him was the best option. that's why he went there.
Real on the other hand did it just for the publicity.
I would call him naive, but not immature for his age.
Agree with Ed that he should go out on loan.

TeeKaye

{Ed001's Note - he went there for the money, not because he has belief in himself. He knew it was the best option to get big commercial deals in his home country. It was not about belief in his ability at all.}
