I've been winding up my Wolves mates all season saying that I can't wait to see Neto in a Liverpool shirt. genuinely think this guy is an incredible player.

Ed's any chance this could happen are your thoughts on him?

SteW17

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer "any chance" questions. Liverpool have made no approach to Wolves for Neto but have an interest in Traore as has been explained.}

1.) 18 Feb 2021 20:02:02
Ok thanks Ed I understand! Do you rate Neto?
I hope Klopps interest in Traore vanishes!

{Ed002's Note - Neto is doing very well.}

2.) 18 Feb 2021 23:23:08
I’d like to see either or both of Traore and Sarr join Liverpool.
Both have the potential to really tear it up.
Traore must be about the quickest front man in Europe?

{Ed0666's Note - no point being quick if there’s no end product mate. Sarr is rapid also but carries more guile and threat.

3.) 19 Feb 2021 06:01:09
That’s what people said about Sterling and Bale though Ed.
I like to think of what he can do, rather than can’t.
And the potential positives far outweigh the negatives for Traore imo.
His pace gives you another dimension, can revert to all kinds of formations with him up top.
Give him, say, 4 runs per game and 1 of them is going in the back of the net.
He can cause havoc for any team.

{Ed001's Note - he is nothing like Sterling and Bale. For starters he is 25, so should be able to offer an end product by now. His end product is non-existent, if he could produce 1 in 4 times he would be excellent, but he produces once in 100 or even more. He hasn't the intelligence to slow down to make the final ball controllable.}

4.) 19 Feb 2021 10:15:21
Traore is awful and at a massive price, i'd rather Eliott played before him tbh, we need to put everything into Mbappe, one signing would change everything.

5.) 19 Feb 2021 10:42:39
Just to back up Ed001's point, I saw a stat gloating around that Adama Tralee only hits the target with 25% of his shots on goal. So only 1 shot he takes actually troubles the keeper/ defence.

I think a more apt comparison to Traits would be the likes of Aaron Lennon, Theo Walcott, etc. Never kicked on to be able to make use of their pace and power.

{Ed001's Note - spot on, that is exactly who he reminds me of, lots of pace but no brain. He needs to learn to run slower before playing the final ball.}

6.) 19 Feb 2021 13:05:47
I can accept those points but the long balls we play out of defence are perfect for Traore, I think it’d bring a new dimension to his game that he doesn’t really enjoy at Wolves. The way we play suits his pace to a T and, probably ironically, his downturn in form will have lowered his price?
Elliott is never a rival to a player like Traore, totally different. I can see Elliott developing a skill set like the better points of Grealish or maybe even a Firmino-type game.
Anyway, I think a Summer signing up top will definitely be a player with pace.
Traore is ok by me.

{Ed001's Note - what do you mean? That is exactly how they use him at Wolves and he is not very good. It really is that simple. Elliott is a far better player.}

7.) 19 Feb 2021 13:22:23
Ok, one last attempt to make a case 🤣
Salah and Traore left up top out of possession, the rest of the team can sit deeper and more compact.
Long balls out of defence, the opposition are forced to keep probably 4 or 5 players back to mark them?
Just like the Leipzig game but x 2. No? 🤣🤣.

{Ed001's Note - which again is what Wolves aim to do. Traore is simply not good enough. The idea is fine, but you are just picking the wrong player. There is one player to go for from them and it is Neto.}

8.) 19 Feb 2021 15:21:39
Traore is an expensive option for a player with minimal end product also as a point Liverpool don’t have problems scoring against teams who want to play its teams who sit deep for long periods that are an issue they need someone who can score regularly from outside the box or at least cause defenders to think I can’t give him time on the edge because that will open gaps up. Looking at Man City struggling to open Everton up so mahrez pops one in the corner from outside the box. Think of the last time Liverpool scored an effort in open play from 25 yards like stevie g used to do. We lack that threat which allows West Brom’s to play 6 and a 4 with no attacking intent. My one criticism of klopp would be that we are turning into the new Arsenal at times we always looking to walk the ball into the back of the net we rarely shoot from outside the area. It’s not a terrible thing I think Klopp is definitely in the top 1 managers in the world but I hope we start taking more shots from the edge give defenders something to worry about.

9.) 19 Feb 2021 19:21:33
That's why I think Grealish would be perfect. sorry for repeating it. i know he would cost a bit but he is class. he won't win anything with AVilla.

10.) 19 Feb 2021 23:02:12
My man Traore produced tonight anyway lmao, even if it was back off the keeper’s noggin.
Neto was good also, especially first half. He’s a fine young player.
Have to say, on that showing, Wolves do not look to get the ball forward early anything like as much as Liverpool.
I’d definitely take both of them to Liverpool.
Wolves our new Southampton lol.

11.) 19 Feb 2021 23:49:27
He is about as good a finisher as Firmino 😂. Oh oh calm down, even if it’s true.

{Ed002's Note - Going on from what Ed001 said, Liverpool need to work with Eliott and forget the likes of Starr and Traore. I actually don’t get what Klopp sees in Traore.}

12.) 20 Feb 2021 01:39:54
With Klopp as Manager, even Traore can become the new Messi.

{Ed0666's Note - That I don’t doubt mate.

13.) 25 Feb 2021 22:27:12
He definitely messis up his final ball a lot?

25 Aug 2017 11:27:51
Ed any idea if we are looking to offload Origi or if he wants to leave?

SteW17

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has made no efforts to sell him.}

1.) 25 Aug 2017 11:53:31

2.) 25 Aug 2017 11:54:37
-----------another piece of worthless trash scraped off our collective boot------------

3.) 25 Aug 2017 11:55:15
Ignore them Ed002, dear. I think you are acute 😉.

4.) 25 Aug 2017 12:04:40
------and another one gone----

5.) 25 Aug 2017 12:08:16
Yeah Ed002! I agree with MK, you are cute!

6.) 25 Aug 2017 12:24:39
Ed002 will not tolerate any Origi bashing, they are very close.

7.) 25 Aug 2017 12:28:52
Idiots are out in force today, letting them all out for the bank holiday 😅😂.

8.) 25 Aug 2017 12:52:30
Dunh Dunh Dunh, another one bites the dust, and another one's gone and another one's gone, another one bites the dust.

9.) 25 Aug 2017 13:18:38

10.) 25 Aug 2017 13:29:05
This is becoming a pure sausage fest.

Call it a party in the Richmond factory, if you like.

{Ed002's Note - You wish Davey.}

11.) 25 Aug 2017 13:35:41
Me bird must have turned vegetarian without telling me Ed.

12.) 25 Aug 2017 13:47:28
Ed002, you scored a hat trick of morons there.

13.) 25 Aug 2017 14:40:14
There's a rumour that ED0002 is actually Origi. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?

14.) 25 Aug 2017 16:44:53
Looks like the lunatics have escaped from the asylum at the moment.

15.) 25 Aug 2017 17:34:30
Ah but BingoRed. we got to keep the loonies on the path! 🤔😊.

16.) 25 Aug 2017 19:19:48
Origi has great potential. Just like to see him boost his confidence.

17.) 25 Aug 2017 22:59:46
Does anyone else get extremely curious as to what the people said that was so bad? I'ts like when someone says "btw don't eat that thing in the fridge" and you think I didn't even know it was there and never would have touched it. but now you said that I really really want it.

{Ed002's Note - You want to eat Origi?}

18.) 25 Aug 2017 23:11:59
haha well not all in one sitting ed002 and would prob start with Lovren or Migs first that way we are forced to try other players there or replace them :)

Literally devastated that United may be getting Dybala. one of my favourite players outside of us!

What a deal for them though, lukaku for dybala!

SteW17

{Ed0333's Note - not sure he’s that good mate. I think it’s like for like talent wise. You have to ask why Juve are thinking of selling him if he’s that good?

1.) 31 Jul 2019 01:00:24
Dybala has a reputation for being inconsistent and disappearing when the pressure is on.

2.) 31 Jul 2019 01:06:56
Hope this falls through.

3.) 31 Jul 2019 01:58:12
The premier league going to be a bit too fast for young Dyabala. you never know though. he may up a gear and become their Ken Aguero.

4.) 31 Jul 2019 02:02:57
Personally I think it's going to be another comedy signing from United.

5.) 31 Jul 2019 03:44:28
Both players are coming off poor seasons. Dybala is definitely the more talented of the two, but Lukaku to Juventus makes more sense in my opinion. Sarri will likely play his preferred 4-3-3 and a more traditional striker like Lukaku will fit in well into the system.

Meanwhile I have no idea how Dybala fits into the united team? Especially with them making it clear they want Rashford playing up top. He has good acceleration but I don't think he's quick enough for the wings. They could play him at CAM, but they'll quickly lose the midfield battle as he can offer little defensively (Particularly if Pogba is one of the two behind him) . Plus Bruno Fernandes seems to be the player United want there. Doesn't make any sense.

6.) 31 Jul 2019 05:48:36
Ok this is just jealousy here. Dybala is a coup for United. We would have been very very happy to add him to our squad.
What i don't get at all is why are juventus even considering this? They have higuain ronaldo and mandzukic already. It doesn't make sense for them.
Anyways it makes united strong. Lukaku off dybala in, that's just commendable business if it happens.

{Ed001's Note - seriously you need to watch Dybala before making statements like that. It is not jealousy to say he is not right for the Prem. He has ability but doesn't use it. Nothing to do with jealousy, so no need to be such a self-righteous arse about it. Perhaps if you took the time to watch Juve, and see that Dybala can't get in their team because he is not performing, you might understand why they want rid so badly they are willing to throw him into deals. One of the laziest players around.}

7.) 31 Jul 2019 02:46:34
He hasn’t pushed on like he was expected to. I thought he looked superb from 2015-2017, but he hasn’t improved a single aspect of his game since then. It would be a classic Edward Woodward signing - literally launch money at the wall in the faint hope it will work.
Wan Bissaka will be their player of the season next year, I really think they’ve done well there, but they are still an absolute mess of a club.

8.) 31 Jul 2019 06:47:13
I thought Dybala was a great player to be fair. I've not seen him play in over a year though so if he's gotten lazy and not kicked on then let's hope United sign him. The last thing they need is another mega money super star not applying themselves!

9.) 31 Jul 2019 06:48:40
He only got 10 league goals last season didn’t he?
On a team that largely dominates

Poor return.

10.) 31 Jul 2019 06:57:35
The thing with Dybala type players that are lightweight, is once they are targeted, man marked they lose their potency. Joe Cole was a prime example, give him time and space they can look world beaters, remove the space and they become passengers.

{Ed025's Note - but sometimes a change is as good as a rest tyler, the guy has the ability thats for sure but he has to apply himself on the pitch..we shall see..

11.) 31 Jul 2019 07:01:58
ed001 after the season before last what was Dybala best for Juventus do you think he might feel a little pushed out after the Ronaldo signing wants they signed Ronaldo you know everything is going to be set up just to get the best out of him.

{Ed001's Note - he wasn't outstanding and has never justified the hype he gets. One good game a season is not the mark of a top player.}

12.) 31 Jul 2019 08:42:22
Never liked him. overrated and overhyped with a sucky attitude. If he moves there it will be another Alexis Sanchez/ Di Maria senario mark my words.

13.) 31 Jul 2019 08:49:36
And ZERO jealousy. I would be a lot more worried or "jealous" if they sign Bruno Fernandes.

14.) 31 Jul 2019 09:15:20
Honestly dybala reminds me a lot of coutinho. Similar style, plays similar positions and similar stature and ability level.

Is he talented? I'd say so but so far he's lacked consistency and drive.

15.) 31 Jul 2019 09:34:14
Difference of opinion ed. Dybala is a coup for united. He is a good player.
Most liverpool fans would have him.

Not every player needs to work hard and put a shift, some players just have gifted ability, dybala is one of them. He had a bad season last one maybe because every pass was supposed to be made to ronaldo but he did carried juve a season before that.
Also its not like you are the only one watching games. I have watched enough of juventus to form an opinion of the player and he is a good player and definitely not as ridiculously lazy as you make him to be.

{Ed001's Note - if they would have him then they are clueless about football. Dybala does not affect games and he has never carried Juve. You are clearly utterly ignorant of not just how he plays, but how we play. Pointless conversation this, he is not only not what you blindly believe him to be but the exact opposite of a Klopp player. Oh and the only difference Ronaldo made was showing him what a top class player can do. One who does actually carry a team, rather than, like Dybala, being carried by the team.}

16.) 31 Jul 2019 10:43:40
I must admit at one point I really liked him, I thought he'd be the next big thing tbh. Once he got more let's say 'well known' I think personally it got to his head a little too much and his performances aren't the same nowadays, he's boring to watch and doesn't try hard enough, hasn't for along time and never will. Typical United signing if it happens, he will be a failure, the hype is there because of his name but it means bugger all. Let them have him.

17.) 31 Jul 2019 11:16:12
Clueless about football? Come on Ed no need to be a self-righteous arse about it! ;)

{Ed001's Note - fair point but it is true, he is hopeless for our system and not good enough at Juve where they can carry a couple of players easily.}

18.) 31 Jul 2019 12:01:05
He's a shirt seller that's what Woodward always tries to do.
I think he's too lightweight for the prem.
Like di Maria and Falcao he will go missing.
I am not jealous of any signing United have made as they don't improve our First Eleven.

19.) 31 Jul 2019 16:00:14
To be fair, Lukaku's no better at carrying or leading a team, so it's not exactly a loss that they're shot of someone who inexplicably has a worse first touch than Wayne Rooney did.

07 Jun 2018 22:09:32
Think we can now say our midfield is finally as good as our forwards! Wow!

SteW17

1.) 07 Jun 2018 22:24:59
This Edwards fella is awesome! Much better than Ayre.

2.) 07 Jun 2018 22:48:23
Anyone seem waro?

3.) 07 Jun 2018 23:09:29
This is in no way a dig at all but would be interested in Waro’s views on the owners I know clearly it’s a business for them but they seem to be backing Klopp more than previously.

4.) 07 Jun 2018 23:53:54
" insert rant about how real fans aren't being fooled. Throw in something about asset stripping and end by asking for new owners ".
Saved him the trouble.

07 Jun 2018 18:43:33
What happened to the interest in the Hoffenheim midfielder Demirbay? Thought he was jailed on to join us in Jan or the summer?

SteW17

1.) 07 Jun 2018 19:22:06
We've moved on, OP. Pretty simple, really.

2.) 07 Jun 2018 20:17:20
He signed an extension!

3.) 07 Jun 2018 21:38:14
So did coutinio, before he left.

28 May 2018 21:43:12
After the Fabinho signing and the way it has happened can we finally say that Liverpool are now doing business properly and behind closed doors.

What a great signing Fabinho is.

SteW17

1.) 28 May 2018 21:50:30
think this player will fit right in, he is 6ft 2in, fast, a good tackler, and can read a game .

2.) 28 May 2018 21:56:38
Signed before Can even cleared his locker out. That’s how you do it.

3.) 28 May 2018 23:27:37
And in this market 50 million seems cheap. I just love how it was done so snappy.

01 May 2018 14:35:07
So im still baffled at the Buvac departure. something we won't really know about until the summer. but the rumours of a fall out are surely wide of the mark, surely no professional would leave a couple of days before the biggest game of the season, after the years of hard work, makes no sense to me.

Maybe the rumours of his dads illness and spending more time over with his family is more toward the truth. remember Buvac hates being in the public eye and so this might be the reason. and not the crazy arsenal rumours?

Anyway hope all is well with him and his family, that's the most important thing

And heres too a 3-2 liverpool win tomorrow 😁.

SteW17

1.) 01 May 2018 23:54:18
I think it'll be 0 0 tomorrow or 2 1 to us. I think we have enough of a cushion to try and kill the game. Although I think roma will score, we are not great at the defensive game. They score and we change the game plan and take the game to them scoring 2, mane and salah.

We say the same thing almost every year about a youngster, minus Brewster and TAA who from early on you could see they were better than most. Strange I don't remember them being loaned out.99% of our youngsters are decent players and will do well in the lower leagues, not Liverpool.

Playing well for Doncaster means nothing, he has never looked good enough for the first team.

People might think he's old cos he's the oldest looking 20 year old in football.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. its also not moaning and every one of us would get behind him if we sign him. doesn't escape the fact as a goalkeeper he is no better than what we have. And saying Klopp will make him better? How? don't believe Klopp coaches GKs!?

Come on now. The guy is a world class Sunday league defender. I love the bloke and he's stepped in and done well, but he is a very limited player, let's take our red tinted glasses and see it for what it is. He would be a decent 4th or 5th choice CB, that's it.

When Gini Wijnaldum is your captain you know you are going to struggle.

Hes had a few good games every now again and gets through some work but I for one can not wait for him to leave, don't understand why anyone would be disappointed when he leaves.

Captain Sideways.

Tired of hearing the excuses now. Mentality monsters not so long ago eh? Look at our results since C.V. came about last year, its been shocking!

Where is the fight? Total collapse after Leicester equalised. The midfield is non existent, Gini can go for all I care. Thiago can't play in that 3. Jones trys but needs to do more! Yes we have injuries and we were always going to struggle, but we are Liverpool and bare minimum there should be a fight, we haven't done that for a while. Reminds me how Klopps Dortmund went, nearly relegated, our form is worse than the bottom 3.

No idea where this goes. Not sure Klopp does.
