alright guys and any girls that pop in the site!
dya reckon that we will play the same starting 11 against Southampton? the only change I think we may see would be allen in for can? Although I'd prefer can to start as he is a more physical presence and does basically the same job as allen but with maybe a wee bit more authority! I also think the system worked well today. It seemed like we was playing a 4-4-1-1 formation today with sterling and Henderson the wider players and coutinho closer to sturridge. anyway whatever formation we play our players like to interchange and that's what makes us so difficult to play against because you don't know whos gunner pop up where or which position someone maybe playing! sorry for the long winded post i'm a tad bit drunk (went the game nd carried on drinking til i'm in now) i'm just really excited about the season. I know people are writing us off already but I really think we can do one better and win it this season! YNWA P.S. what a class act the Dortmund fans was clapping Gerrard and paying tribute to the greatest player I've ever watched! (only 21 haha)

What would everyone think to partnering sterling with sturridge up top next season? That would still allow us to play a 4-4-2 diamond with coutinho at the point in his strongest position. With sterling and sturridges pace defenders would have to drop deep which would leave space for coutinho and one of the strikers to drop abit deeper why the other runs in behind. I think a midfield of Gerrard holding, lallana and hendo either side, coutinho at the point with sterling nd sturridge up top would have pace, power, creativity and movement. I think sterling could do what walcott does when he plays central and be a lot more dangerous.

Is anyone else slightly disappointed in the team selection for today? Was hoping to see Rossiter get some minutes but he's not even in the matchday squad! Also would have liked to see Jordan Ibe get a run out and give Sterling a well deserved rest. Anyway its nice to see Ilori on the bench and would be good to see him on the pitch at some time if were winning comfortably, and nice to see Cameron Brannagan on the bench aswell. He's only 17 and i've been really impressed when I've seen him for the under21's this season, he's got good technique and chips in with goals and assists which is what you need to play that position. Looking forward to seeing how Alberto does cause I rate him, and also its good to see Aspas playing in his preferred position so hopefully he can have a good game. Anyway I'm looking forward to the game and hopefully a convincing win! COME ON YOU REDS!
