If we don't manage to get the player with this last offer, we'll really look like rank amateurs for persisting on something that RBL (officially) have been saying will never ever happen. And doubly so, because we're adopting (officially), the RBL stance of "we don't sell our best players and it's not going to happen", on the offer from Barcelona for Coutinho.
Given that players have to be sold if we manage to buy (to maintain squad size), I think it's actually Can that will be sold and not Coutinho, in the case of Keita. But maybe we'll find out tomorrow, since Can is back this weekend. The contract is supposedly ready and let's see if he signs it; what excuses are left for not signing it if he is indeed staying? And it's not as bad a deal if the outgoing of 75Mil for Keita is offset by a deal of 30-35Mil for Can. If we buy VVD then I see Lovren being sold and not Gomez. It's those long contract renewals/ extensions that seem to be the final kiss of death, LOL. Mignolet has escaped this fate, but that's because of his upturn in form, whereas Lovren is still flailing in the wind. How ironically funny it would be if Sakho could not be sold/ loaned and ended up wearing LFC red for next season again.

Can won't be leaving. We need to bulk up our squad not just replace players like for like. If anything I think this will make can more keen to sign as the club is showing real ambition. He is getting better all the time and with better players around him he will only improve faster. He will get plenty of chances with a manager who likes rotation.

I think it came from a single source and then replicated in all tabloids. Maybe it's true, source say they tabled the bid on Friday, Klopp said they are too late, then today it's accepted.

Don't think we will sell a cb, other than sahko. Saying that, he has been punished by being frozen out of squad but sometimes people have to swallow their pride. He has been poorly behaved in the past but people (especially at their age) change. I know it's not popular but I'd like to see him get another chance. The form he showed for palace was unreal and we would be mad (and stubborn) not to want a cb on that form playing for us. I doubt it will happen as he is someone who we can recoup some money with. If he changed his attitude and sincerely apologised to klopp and fans would you guys (lfc fans) be happy for him to stay? He is a top last ditch defender and we are going to come under some real pressure in UCL. Can't help thinking he would be a real asset. His left foot would be welcome too.

I think Origi just needs to be more consistent and use his assets, big guy and quick as well. He won't ever be big goalscorer but can be a very useful player for a good club.
