Quincy Promes is an awesome player that more importantly would compliment our team. Ojo needs a few years to get to his level. he has pace power and quick feet decent passing range. wouldn't be a bad signing especially playing with the front line we have.

No its just the fact that any time fans want to discuss transfers to add to the squad its shut down with the "what about the youth" or "its nonesense". I have been reading this site for years and you Ed01 are one of the main people who claim we should us youth players in reply to 99.9% of suggestions people have or even when they just ask for your opinion on a player and its getting boring to be honest. Yes I get that a lot of suggestions are unrealistic but admiring a player and wanting them to be in your team isn't a crime or mean your on drugs. We don't have a strong youth system or many good youth players so we do need back ups for injury and to create competition if we want to compete at the top end of the game. Some of the players you think are worthy of a start wouldn't get into teams at the lower end of the prem nevermind liverpool and that is my point. I won't hold my breath that this will be posted by the way I see you guys are selective on what gets through and can see discussion isn't welcome so i won't bother posting anymore.

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - sorry but we do have a strong youth system and many good youth players, so why even make that ignorant statement? The problem has never been about a lack of youth players, it has always been about a lack of opportunities. Perhaps if you took the time to understand that, then you wouldn't start such stupid arguments.

As for discussion isn't welcome, why were your previous comments posted then? It is pathetic people like you, who get all precious when people disagree with them, that ruin discussions, when they run off crying because we don't agree with you. Just like you are doing now. Grow up and man up.}

Lol just remember these are the same people who was slagging off Rodgers for not playing Jay Spearing and Adam Morgan and replacing them with Joe Allen who is actually prem quality but still not good enough for Liverpool. im sorry to say but Liverpool don't produce many good academy players even the bitters have a better system so until we improve it we need to buy players. we waste money either way on crap youth TEAMS so buying a few high end players that could actually make the difference seems the more logical option for the time being. but apparently we are the idiots who don't get it. i can't think of one youth player who left us that we have regretted. EVER!

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - what on earth? Your posts are just descending into gibberish. No one slagged off Rodgers for not playing those two, you clearly live in a dream world where you just make things up in your head to suit your latest dribble you are spouting on the pages.}

Well you writing off the january window as one where no significant signings are made is also nonesense in that case.

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - where did I say that? Nowhere have I said anything of the sort, you are making up crap in your head. Why lie? I said it was difficult, when did that become writing it off?}

I think he meant Coutinho, Sturridge and even Suarez were all signed in the January window and we know how important they had all become for our club. we seem to do our best deals in the January window if history is any indicator.

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - hardly indicative of anything is it 3 signings?}

Everyone talks about 'giving players time' but we have been doing that for years and how far has that got us? If someone has an opinion that a player isn't that great then apparently they are clueless but i'm sure the same people wanted to wait on Carrol and Balotelli and all these other players who turned out to be nobodies. unfortunately hope doesn't win football matches and allowing crap players to keep playing doesn't make them or the team better. if we keep being a club that develops players and doesn't ever have players that are fully developed when will we achieve anything? How many players that were crap at 23 turn out to be world class? (And i'm not talking about players who perform but don't get the pundits approval like Suarez for example) i'm sure 90% of people here claimed Lovren would come good and we are still waiting. I think Migs would look world class in our current team as he is actually an excellent shot stopper but terrible at claiming crosses and commanding his area but we don't seem to concede as many corners or crosses with Clyne and Milner blocking most attempts. again Klopp didn't make any in game tactical changes to try and win the match. i'm really not sure what his role is on matchday or outside of Melwood. great coach poor manager.

We don't always have to agree with you Ed001. but your right sometimes the teams intensity won't be as high as usual. that's when the manager is supposed to step in and do his job and make some changes or jig the team around. even a sunday league coach knows that. it didn't happen yesterday. for bournemouth it did and hats off to them. eddie howe check mated klopp end of. he knew lucas was a weakness and he adapted to it klopp didn't and we lost the game. same mistakes from the Europa League final.

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, strange that Lucas is not a full back or winger, and you claim Howe's 'master stroke', which was putting on a wide player and putting Ake to left back, was targeted at Lucas. Just shows you know nothing about what you are talking about, clearly you would not even get a job as a Sunday league manager.}

Ed001- Regardless of why Mane went off. Eddie Howes impact had the desired effect. and what did Klopp do to counter it? Is that not the point of the manager on matchday? I like Klopp as a coach but he has a lot to learn as a manager. that's all i'm saying.

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - if you say so. Amazing how you lot only appear when we lose.}

I think Klopp actually lost us the game today. don't get me wrong he is an excellent coach. but his in-game management skills consist mainly of shouting and being animated. We need to be able to see out games even if it means making defensive subs or tactical changes. We still have no alternate way of playing. if we're not gung-ho all out attack we lose. Eddie Howe check mated Klopp with genius subs and tactical changes and Klopp did nothing to counteract them. he just watched us fold. he could have brought in Klavan and moved Lucas into midfield (he is not a CB in any way) or brought on Kevin Stewart to counteract the threat of Ryan Fraser but he did nothing. Bournemouth moved Ake into the leftback slot to stop Mane and Clyne and get him more into the game and it worked brilliantly. when have you seen Klopps subs make a real positive impact in a game we are in the back foot? The players could have performed better but its games like this where Klopp needs to show his management skills (different to coaching skills) and he failed again. think back to Europa League final and also why Dortmund never won the champions league. Klopp gets check mated by superior tacticians even if he has a stronger team which he badly needs to fix or we will always be runners up but i feel like we generally address the wrong issues. also Lucas needs to never play at CB for us again if at all. he costs us the game every time he plays. people will say i'm over reacting but i guarantee if these issues don't change we will never win anything and become an Arsenal top four trophy team lol.

Slimz

{Ed001's Note - how did moving Ake across work to stop Mane? Mane tore him a new one and got injured in the process and was taken off. Ake did not stop Mane, injury did.}

Skill and talent traded for speed and fitness. Not many pure footballers left in the game.
