Quick one for any of the eds, or other posters really.

Not footy related, sorry, but I know ed1 & ed2 do a lot of travelling and was wondering if they knew the best airlines/websites for cheap flights to NYC?

I'm planning on taking my girlfriend for new year/her 30th birthday and proposing (been with her ten years, so got to really!!)

Apologies for being a bit off topic, but thought I'd ask seeing as though you're clued up about everything else!

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Assuming you are going from England the two cheap options I know people take are Aer Lingus via Ireland and Icelandair via Iceland.}

Skyscanner is pretty good got cheap direct flights recently from them

2.) 25 Sep 2015 18:41:27
Virgin as some great deals on I'm going to nyc end of November with the gaffer

I go Aer Lingus and always great but I always check Skyscanner first as they check most airlines and you get to decide on non - stop , one stopover etc.
Best of luck on the trip and proposal

If you don't mind flying to Boston and then getting a train to New York then maybe Wow airlines (Icelandic) are worth a look.

Yeah download the skyscanner app and you can't go wrong!

6.) 25 Sep 2015 17:28:39
Aer Lingus does that roughly translate to Air Bock? :P

Thanks a lot ed.

Sorry, I am going from England yeah. Probably Manchester.

I've looked at Aer Lingus already and they do seem to be the best price; I'll try the other one you said and see how I get on.

Thanks a lot; appreciate your response.

There is a site called Momondo - similar to skyscanner in that it searches loads of airlines - defo worth a look.

Excuse me mate, but that 'nonsense' about him being selfish is not 'nonsense'! (Super offended here! Haha! )
I am not simply referring to 'selfish' as in he needs to be more greedy with the ball; I mean he needs to have more desire, drive and hunger for himself, if you like.
As mentioned earlier, I don't want a player who thinks he's above the team or that, but I honestly do think he is too 'nice' on the pitch for his own good.
I also don't want a dirty player who tries to injure others, but I do sometimes thing Ibe would benefit from rattling someone and not being so quick to want to shake hands with opponents after challenges.
Again, this might not seem like the best elaboration of my thoughts, and hopefully I'll hit the nail on the head one day soon!
I'd just like to see a bit more of a mean streak in Jordon, as to me he appears a bit passive and too mellow at the minute?

There's a brilliant article by Paul Tompkins about Ibe, if you can find it online at all. Mentions his age and the fact that he is actually doing pretty well in his development, as well as urging people not to get on his back.
Personally like the player, but feel he needs to have a slightly more 'nasty' streak. Appears to lack the nastiness or selfishness, or maybe just the arrogance, that may take him up a level or 2.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want him becoming the new Zlatan or that (! ), just feel he could benefit from not being so 'nice' on the pitch and being a little more selfish?
Apologies if that doesn't make the most sense; hard to explain exactly what I mean!

Been saying this for ages meself mate.
Personally, I'd use a diamond with Coutinho as one of the sides and Firmino either at the tip, or as the deeper of the 2 strikers in front of it.
I understand people may have reservations about Coutinho here, but Cazorla plays in a similarly deep position for Arsenal and has excelled there.
I also believe a diamond would get more of our better attacking players on the pitch, at the same time.
However, I don't think Klopp favours this formation (unfortunately)?

{Ed001's Note - Couts has played as a central midfielder for us before and was excellent.}

Nick, my whole point is that the fans need to believe as much as the players do.
Klopp wasn't just asking the players; we need to do our part as well.
We both need to inspire one another and create as much of a positive atmosphere as possible around the club.
I'm not here to have a pop or question what people talk about; just feel our typical mindset hasn't really worked so why not try a change?
Think positive and maybe we'll see the difference?
If not, we won't be any worse off anyway.
What's to lose?

'Last 3 games' would clearly include Bordeaux in the Europa League; as this was 2 games ago.
