Not posted in a while but heres my pennies worth.
After living and working in USA for many years, one thing about American owners is they are not stupid, very shrewd in fact.
Im sure somewere along the line they will have a plan B which does not include Bodgers.
Im a little surprised its not put into action now but as the eds say maybe the man they seek and want is not commiting just yet.
Ive said previously getting rid of Bodgers now may cost a few quid to pay him off but i'm sure managers who are spoken about daily to replace him would pay that back short to long term with success hopefully.
As for the squad, Bodgers has shown he is way out of his depth in choosing quality, again the Eds are correct with their appraisal of the situation, we buy 5 average players instead of 2 quality, this has been a problem with LFC for many decades.
Ive be-moaned about players we have bought as simply not good enough these past 4 windows, I've heard all the excuses round holes in square pegs etc, and I sympathise with some players to an extent as I feel they are playing to systems and positions they are not used too, but at the end of the day a quality player should be able to adapt somewhat.
Bidgers and his so called committee have wasted millions upon millions and that simply isn't good enough, he ultimately decides formations tactics and players and again, simply not good enough.
Im sure FSG will implement plan B as soon as, so just be patient as i'm getting tired of posting negativity all the time with what's been a disaster this year.

Bodger and Bidger, Bodger and Bidger. everybody know Bidger loves mashed potatoes!

Good post, Scouse! I hope you are right BUT as someone who lives in the states and follows American sports (NFL and NBA), I can`t understand why they did this as in, keep him and fire his assistants. That will NEVER happen in the NFL or in the MLB so don`t understand it at all. N BTW, if the had a plan B and don`t trust BR, why not fire him now and install who you want which IMO, doesn`t have to be Klopp? Thoughts?

3.) 11 Jun 2015 06:48:35
Redohio it doesn't have to be klopp but I'm sure you would agree that the owners should have compiled some sort of short list over the season. this could easily have read something like klopp, biesla, conti, ancelotti and so on. maybe fsg realised that perhaps their first 5 or so choices were not going to be options and decided it wasn't worth replacing Rodgers with a "square peg in a round hole" as I keep reading on here!
And I'm not 100% on American sports but for the most part aren't their basically no "managers" and more of a coaching team and head coach? The changing of the coaching staff is still better than nothing imo. at least it shows fsg are paying attention to what's happening and trying to fix problems

4.) 12 Jun 2015 05:11:14
Shane in American sports, when a head coach is hired, he either choose to hire his own staff or choose who he wants with the staff already in place. As for the owners, they messed up by not going into the situation with replacing BR as the only option. They don't trust him clearly so why keep someone you don't trust and then fire his assistants and surround him with those he doesn't trust. If we are failing, who do you think he will blame? The owners will bear the brunt and rightly so because they bottled it.

Fair play today, when I saw Allen, markovich and Lovren on the team sheet I thought game over.

Credit to Allen today as I thought it was one of his best games in red.2 good games a season still doesn't do it for me and I think unless he plays like that week in week out then he has to go, sorry Joe.

Markovich couldn't beat an egg never mind a player, he looks lost, needs to justify his place in the team and salary, we may as well play 10 men, He did one good pass the rest he was a passenger for 89 mins.

Lovren still doesn't impress me if i'm honest, gives the ball away too much and poor decisions, he needs to up his game considerably to earn any praise.

BUT, we won so i'm pleased for the team, still baffled by midweek performance after today, whos to blame?

I will always praise players when they do well and critise when poor, this is normal. So I have to say well done Joe Allen, coutinho, skrtel, hendo lallana today.
For some reason people don't want to speak about how Sterling lost the ball every time he touched it, as he did on Wednesday.
I agree with Markovich comments don't think i've seen him beat a man in a red shirt?
But there was enough stand out performers today to get the job done

Waro, that will have been either BR, Pascoe or Marshy mate, who else apart from them would make a statement like that, clueless to say the least lol

On another note, Dortmund have arguably sold some of their best talent over the past seasons but Klopp still has them replaced with gooduns and they play good football, and win most games.
Soton sold half the first team didn't they but Koemans bought well and has them playing at a good tempo at present.
So I would put what's going wrong at LFC firmly at BR`s feet i'm afraid, and the excuses that he comes up with are now laughable.
To quote I think Clint Eastwood in dirty harry, EVERY MAN HAS TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS,
I think BR has surpassed his and failed.
FSG must be cringing, we will be lucky to achieve CL next season at this rate, and we will never win the PL with this set up.

I see Davey has some sense, i'm sorry Bob but country before club don't wash with me. i'm a Liverpool fan through and through, they are my only concern and the players who are employed by them, not England.
England are woeful, the whole England set up is woeful, in fact if the national team disbanded it would bother me not, I don't even watch them play as the whole set up is that bad.
Has been for decades, just some overpaid has beens milking everyone dry to pay off a hugh debt, you don't see R.O.I. Germany and the likes hosting NFL football in the national stadium to service the debt.
if the FA had their way England would be playing friendlies every week, they don't care about the Sterlings or the Sturridges, its all about the money.
England won't win sod all as long as i'm alive guaranteed, the English FA are only interested in the English FA matey.

{Ed002's Note - So we have several issues here. Perhaps they would make good separate threads worthy of discussion, but I have no easy way of separating them:

Thread 1: Club vs Country - worthy of discussion but in a responsible manner.

Thread 2: England are woeful and need a fix. Again worthy of discussion but it might be good to look at it in the context of having a group of players who pretty much stick together from U17 on (take Brazil as an example). Could that work for England? Right now we have now continuity from U21 to England first team - Stuart Pearce wants that and, you may not know, is pushing himself as an overseer for this. He would like to see Gareth Southgate bring through a number of U21s and to take over the England manager role in 2016 when Mr Hodgson retires. Good idea or not? Would change the approach previously taken by the FA.

Thread 3: FA abusing Wembley to repay debts and raise money - actually this is probably nothing but a good thing and good financial management. It was an over-priced and is an underused facility. Make the most of it. A reasonable discussion point but not worthy of bleating about the FA having it in for Liverpool.

Thread 4: Longevity and England success. Covered by thread two. Try proposing some solutions and get those on the table for discussion.

Feel free to submit these as the start of new threads (cut and paste in to new posts).

if that's anywere near the truth Rogers the Bodger should open a medical centre with all the sicknotes he's supposed to be buying. Just get rid of the idiot and get a manager who can see and buy real talent.
Our scouting system must have a link to all the footballing crocks around Europe.
lets sell our so called prized asset for no money and buy the sicknotes of football for top money to sit in medical room most of the season like Jovetic and that greek defender, sounds about right for LFC.

I find firmino a little lightweight and slow still, hopefully he will get a bit stronger and quicker as season progresses.
Good technical ability but needs a bit more I think in this league.

wijnaldum looks a poor buy a present, does very little, Lallana is ok but doesn't do enough and he looks worse when played with the dutch fella.
Must be a better paring surely, also subs not brought into game quick enough, 60 mins is the time in these type of games.
