Made me laugh earlier reading that "Bobby is ok" comment! Few of you might recognise me from the Chelsea page but I like to lurk on your page as it's a good community. I love our team and wouldn't swap most of our players for yours (don't shoot me down boys) but Firmino is unbelievably good and for me probably in the top 6/ 7 players in the league along with Kante, Hazard, Salah, Kane, KDB and Silva.

Thank you Saim, nice to see Bobby get the recognition he deserves.

2.) 01 Aug 2018 22:45:51
Spot on Saim, completely agree mate. Too many people judge attacking players on goals scored and don't take into account what else they do on the pitch.

3.) 01 Aug 2018 23:00:01
Totally agree mate, I wouldn’t swap Salah for Morata - oh wait, you had him😜😜

Jesting aside, Bobby is key to our front three and one of the most important players we have!

4.) 01 Aug 2018 23:27:32
We couldn’t play how we do without him it really is that simple. Bobby always does his defensive work which is why our wingers don’t always have to. We can play with so many attacking players with such freedom because when we lose the ball he’s as diligent as any midfielder that’s why we can get so many attacking players on the pitch without being unbalanced.

5.) 01 Aug 2018 23:44:41
For me Firmino is one of the top 10 strikers in the world, I don’t think I’d swap him for anyone else.

In my book Chelsea gave 3 players who would get in our team

Azpliucueta and

But we have mane
Van diike and
Keita so it's not a problem.

Nice of you to give Bobby the recognition he deserves. Tbf, Chelsea fans are pretty good like that. The send off for Gerrard was a classy touch.

Good post, although you have got to include David de Gea in that list of best players. I know he's not an outfield player but he saves United many points.

People who don't watch certain teams on a regular basis may well incorrectly judge their players contribution to a team. They're likely to base their opinion purely on statistics, failing to recognise a players overall ability and how they fit into the system played. However what really baffles me about the Firmino comments is the fact that even if you disregard his overall contribution and focus purely on the statistics. His goal scoring record last season is comparable to most top strikers. I really can't understand where people wanting a new first team striker are coming from.

Is it just because he isn't 6'2 or absurdly quick? because other then the fact that he doesn't fit the stereotypical image of a number 9, nothing comes to mind.

9.) 02 Aug 2018 04:06:49
firmino is key to our playstyle no doubt. can't wait to see him play with naby keita this season.

10.) 02 Aug 2018 04:51:06
Agreed kaizer, it looks like the team is built around him. Two pacey, powerful wingers next to him and a robust midfield behind him.

I absolutely love firmino, he is the player I would least like to lose. I would be as sad as when Gerrard left. I also think he is the lynch pin that holds the team together.

Everyone says Firmino is underrated so then surely that means he's not underrated? I've never understood that narrative.

Can't say I've seen much of Amavi but I remember his performance against City on Remi Garde's first match, think it ended 0-0. He was absolutely brilliant! Think he got badly injured just after that though.

If it is the Nivea ads you should start worrying about Mr Klopp!

Yeah I can't help but think Klopp will be a game changer when it comes to you signing big names, particularly German based players. In fairness I'm not actually the biggest fan of London (I'm from London studying in Liverpool, the irony! ) and I actually much prefer Liverpool, although I'm not made of money like these footballers so can't experience the full London lifestyle the way they can. Cheers for your kind words Zeddicus, the Gooners seem to be everywhere haha!

Also, when it comes to reliability, I've found that this website (not just Liverpool but all clubs) is by far the most reliable. I'm not sure who Ed002 is or how they know what they do, but their knowledge is absolutely superb. I remember years ago when Van Der Weil was linked with Chelsea and every news outlet in the world was reporting it was a done deal, but Ed002 told us on the Chelsea rumours site that we were actually trying to sign Azpilicueta instead and he/ she was bang on! BBC actual website is reliable but the gossip column is just from newspapers so you better believe its BS haha!

Come on boys, half a bad season doesn't make Chelsea a toxic team that no player will sign for- granted we may not be as interesting as an option however. I am a bit sick of Liverpool fans suggesting players only join Chelsea for money. It may have been the case back in 04 but it certainly isn't now. We win plenty of trophies, have had regular CL football (won't next season but probably will year after) and we're a London club (which seems to be a big deal for footballers) . Teixera has said for a while now that he's very interested in a move to Chelsea. Also, regarding your comment on the Ukranian league, Brazilians often move there as they struggle for work permits at a young age, When you look at some of the South Americans who have played for Shakhtar you can hardly blame them for moving to Ukraine- Fernandinho, Willian, Douglas Costa, Teixera plus many more have developed superbly and got their dream moves to some of the biggest clubs in the world because of their time in Ukraine. Just wanted to get my point across, not start an argument or anything (in case you interpret my post wrong)
