Sorry to say this but all the moaning and groaning has to be put into perspective if it was the 60 million from your bank and there was issue with your purchase I’m sure you wouldn’t just commit n think hey ho, the house I bought the wall might fall down or the the car I bought the wheels have just fell off, but it’s my fault because I ignored the advice I was given by professionals because I know best and I’m a stubborn ass.

Sacked, I would not pay attention to such people who live in an alternate reality, one where LFC should just pay the money or sign the player regardless of him being a major liability, investment-wise just so they can feel good about themselves. They can remain in such a bubble. The rest of us will gladly stay in true reality, one where NOTHING is simple, black and white, cut and dry or where things aren't what they seem.

Completely agree. Being in the medical profession and having seen fekirs knee history it would genuinely concern me going forward. To have had two separate lay offs for the same knee as the acl injury one of which required further surgical intervention would naturally raise concerns. If Liverpool felt this was reason to question finances involved then fair enough and equally if Lyon felt the figures they set were correct in protecting the value of their asset then that’s their prerogative. Sorry to paraphrase bobby brown. Two sides have not come to a resolution as of yet and maybe never will and we just have to accept it and get on with it.

Cheers.

If there was 60 million in my bank account I think I'd have better things to do than buy 1 player, 1 player! I live now in Aus, 60 million could probably buy the entire National Rugby League and still have enough change to buy a painting ED002 might have hanging on his wall.

Karius for the German WC SQUAD

I’d be happy for us to go into the new season with this squad along with Keita and I’d buy a back up for my player of the season Firmino.

Keep can, give Milner a new deal and possible bring in a CB.

I wouldn't be happy and that's not being negative but the top 6 will all improve there squads this summer and if we don't then we run the risk of being left behind. Our team has massive potential and as you said with Keita coming in (who I can't wait too see in a red shirt) a couple more additions could hopefully take us to that next goal of winning the league. Man city have dominated the league this year but I'll put my house on it that they will also strengthen in the summer.

In football you either improve to keep up, or stand still and go backwards relatively. For me, we have 5 potentially world class players. Salah if he repeats this season, Firmino if he repeats this season, Mane if he stays fit, Keita if he continues to develop at the rate a 22 year old should, and Van Dijk if he improves his concentration levels.

After those 5, realistically, any of the other 6 positions in the starting line-up, or 7 positions on the bench could be improved upon. I'm not saying they're all terrible and we should actively look to replace all the other 13 players in the match day squad. But fir the sake of continual progression, we should be looking to get a player of world class ability / potential in every position in the first XI. I knw we have Karius, Clyne, Lovren, Robbo, Hendo and Ox to make up a pretty solid XI but I'm lying to myself if i said any of them were world class or even potentially world class. Though i do think Solanke, Gomez, Woodburn and Arnold have huge potential and could be special one day, it's not a given and football is cruel. Any one of them could be struck down by Flanagan-esque injury woes.

Always look to improve. Even if that means only signing one or two players for huge money. At least that would be a couple of positions upgraded that move us forward. Standing still is going backwards in football.

As klopp has said you don't always have to buy to improve. We have many young players who can continue to improve individually and as a team, particularly in defence with both full backs. If gomez becomes a player used in the centre, even just rotating then that strengthens there. Many others too, karius, Ox, gini, mane, salah. Almost every player. .
That said of course I fully expect us to buy 3 or 4 players for the first team.

4.) 04 Mar 2018 22:20:08
I think we need to strenghten the squad in a few areas, especially with likelyhood of losing Can/ Milner/ Clyne/ Moreno.

If we buy another keeper (i'd look for experience and keep Karius pushing for no.1), defensive midfielder then cover for fullbacks, attackers we can challenge for title.

Karius/ Ward/ New GK
TAA/ Pereira?
Matip/ Gomez
VVD/ Lovren
Robertson/ Grimaldo?
Henderson/ Jorginho? Seri? Ndidi?
AOC/ Lallana
Keita/ Wijnaldum
Salah/ Pulisic?
Mane/ Sessegnon? Kent
Firmino/ Werner?

5.) 04 Mar 2018 22:33:36
Happy with the current squad? Are you joking. It's clear we need more options on the bench. A better goalkeeper, centre back and defensive midfielder as a starting point. We need back up for Firmino and potentially a winger. Other teams will strengthen so we cannot rest on our laurels!

6.) 04 Mar 2018 23:19:52
If we trimmed some fat, and brought in a few quality players we'd have a good squad, it's about quality as much as depth. At the moment, switching our back two, GK, and three up top, we lose something. I'd argue that losing a full back or a centre mid in our team isn't a problem. Whether we play gini, hendo, Ox, can, Milner or lallana, they all offer something different. I wouldn't lose any sleep over losing migs matip gini Milner Clyne and maybe a few others. Bring in people who actually push the eleven. Have a forward on the bench who makes the others think, I need to perform right now. Same with vvd, he basically knows it's him and matip or lovren. I like the way Gomez and Trent are rotated, Gomez offers more defensively, Trent more attacking wise, I'm sure they know the deal.

7.) 05 Mar 2018 00:46:16
Firmane obviously we would lose something if our first team wasn't playing. that's the same with every team. If city lost KDB and/ or Aguero they would lose a hell of a lot.

wouldn't lose any sleep over football but matip milner and gini are important parts of the squad. Matip might become less so if we do sign another top cb. Milner however has a lot to offer and his experience is a huge plus. Gini has had a very quiet season but was very good last year and is still quite young. I think he could be brilliant if he can get himself back in the team.

8.) 05 Mar 2018 06:47:04
I would aim at a bringing in a RB, CM, and quality cover for both Bobby and Salah/ Mane on the wings, provided Solanke, Wilson, Ojo, Kent don’t step it up. I have been looking foward to seeing Wilson make the grade for a few years now but everyone keeps saying he’s leaving 😞.
