Hi Ed’s not sure if it’s been answered before but do we have any interest in Fellaini? Dear god I hope not.

Ricky83

{Ed002's Note - Not as far as I am aware.}

1.) 21 Apr 2018 23:47:35
Use him as a scarecrow over summer when we’re not playing?

2.) 22 Apr 2018 06:33:28
The only way I could see us even being remotely interested in him is if Klopp can see a central defender in him, he’s not quick or agile enough to play anywhere else in a klopp team.

3.) 22 Apr 2018 16:14:20
Jaysus Molby how many penalties would he give away.

4.) 22 Apr 2018 21:24:33
There’s no reason to sign him. Terrible player and add to that he’s an ex toffee and an ex Manc,

{Ed025's Note - how very insular of you mr S, im not a fan of his but the matter of who he has played for previously should have nothing to do with it mate..

5.) 23 Apr 2018 02:21:58
Totally irrelevant who he had previously played for, if he is good enough would love to sign him but saying that he is a terrible player and would hope we don’t have any interest in him. Would love to get dacoure of Watford.

6.) 23 Apr 2018 20:13:12
Fellani still likes an elbow or two eh? No thanks, the guy is a walking red card.

07 Jan 2018 03:11:23
Hi Ed’s have we shown any interest in Malcolm from Bordeaux or Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk? Cheaper options and both look very good on the ball. Would love to hear your opinions on what you think off both players and if they would be suitable to replace coutinho (which is very difficult) .

Ricky83

{Ed001's Note - we have watched Malcolm a number of times and he would not be a cheaper option in any way shape or form, no idea why you would even suggest that he is.}

1.) 07 Jan 2018 05:06:10
Surely we want the best option, not the cheapest option.

{Ed001's Note - the lad is a forward, he would be more of a replacement for Salah than Coutinho.}

2.) 07 Jan 2018 05:46:28
Was just going off the figures that have been doing the rounds . Have read up figures off 30-40 million which is a lot cheaper than the 90 million For Lemar. Judging by the replies Lemar is our number one target so hopefully we can get this one over the line before the Man City game. Ed’s do You think either Fred or Malcom would improve us a great deal? Or are there better and viable options out there for us? Thank you for your replies and appreciate all the hard work you put in.

{Ed001's Note - this is why we don't talk money, the articles suggesting 30-40m for Malcom are insane, they asked a lot more than that. I have no ideas about Fred, never seen him play, but the other lad is quality, however he is very much like Salah and so would only be worth pursuing if Salah left.}

Congrats mohammed salah throughly deserved.

21 Apr 2018 17:18:16
Poor referee but still does not cover up the fact we couldn’t hold out for the last 12 minutes with a 2 goal lead. Positives to come out of today no injuries hopefully. How many times has klopp decided to bring another centre half on and we have conceded or dropped points? Would love to know.

Ricky83

1.) 21 Apr 2018 17:29:46
Agreed. I have always said the best form of Defense is attack. Klopp continues to get this one wrong, although the referee, Gomez and 5 changes certainly did not help.

2.) 21 Apr 2018 17:36:47
Agreed completely, it seems to unsettle the defence rather than solidifying it and it beckons the other team to attack - I wish the manager didn't do it but it seems to be his thing.

The referee was a joke, there was only a couple of game changing decisions to be made in the game and he got every one wrong. A shame that we are talking about the referees again rather than the football.

3.) 21 Apr 2018 18:49:58
We were suspect to the cross and set piece all game. Dzeko will have a field day if we don't stop the cross.

4.) 21 Apr 2018 19:16:12
Hopefully Roma will enjoy less freedom on the flanks with Robertson and TAA back in the team.

5.) 21 Apr 2018 20:38:35
Ref was a joke no wonder we have no English refs in the world cup. How can I respect inconsistencies.

12 Mar 2018 03:23:11
Hi not posted in a while but I have to say the negative comments coming out of Saturdays game is baffling. Yes we conceded 2 poor goals which should have been defended better but they are human and will continue to make mistakes. TAA is an exceptional talent and he did have a poor game but Rashford was brillaint and making a nuisance of himself. He had a brilliant game so give credit where it’s due. TAA will bounce back as he is a brillaint talent. Regarding the result look at the stats if we had some luck on our side would have easily been 3 points to us. Seen all them penalties given and The penalties given against us have been ridiculous at times but we go again and look forward.

1.) 12 Mar 2018 06:15:45
We didn’t play well as a team and Man U didn’t allow us to play well.
Salah was anonymous
Can was anonymous
Lovren was out-battled
Firmino was denied any space in the box
Van Dijk was not covering Lovren.

TAA was not the only player to have a poor game so it is ridiculous to single him out.
Despite all this I think we deserved a draw. That’s the positive for me, we played poorly and ManU were lucky to come away with all 3 points at home. On another day we could easily have had 2 pens.

2.) 12 Mar 2018 07:15:41
How an expensively assembled squad of fantastic talent, on paper, can give up 68% possession at home and be elated is beyond me. When spurs came to anfield and dominated us, I was very disappointed, despite gaining a point. Utd had 2 shots on target and 1 corner. I'd rather finish 4th than 2nd and have to watch that drivel week in, week out.

3.) 12 Mar 2018 07:17:20
Spot on, Ron. We did not deserve to win as half the team had off days but I think a draw was fair especially with two penalty calls (esp. the Fellaini one where Neville, Jenas and Lampard thought should have been given) were flatly denied by a consistently poor ref.
Another issue for me is why are early kick-off's always a problem for us under Klopp?

4.) 12 Mar 2018 14:22:22
I don’t want to go into the decisions. Some goes our way and some goes against! It’s a part of the game and unless VAR isn’t introduced this would continue. TAA should be the last person to be blamed. We had no clue How to deal with the long and direct football. Had they played Martial on the right then Robo would have had a hard time.

It’s a routine pattern! Mark out the front three. Cut the space at for them to run coz our midfiled is so ulesss they couldn’t hit a barn door! Where do you see the goals
Coming if the front three are not scoring?

We were never going to score! Coz we only know one way to score and that’s through the middle! We offer no width at all! And the only goal came when someone whipped in from the byline! We are useless in that area!

5.) 12 Mar 2018 14:25:32
The thing with trent is all of the critics forget he is just 19.
Just as they forget Gomez is only 20.
Both received a lot of criticism for mistakes or cowering away from shots, but they need this now to learn from.

Also Ron you forgot to mention the Ox too, he had a horrendous time out there! i’m surprised nobody (that i’ve seen) has been ripping on how bad his first touch was ALL GAME!
All 10 outfield players seemed to be unable to pass a ball 5 yards too most times which is staggering considering how fluid and inch perfect the passing usually is.

Hi Ed’s sorry to keep throwing names at you but I do remember Quincy promes being linked with us last year. Now it’s rumoured Southampton are closing in on a 30 million deal for him. Checking his stats and he looks very useful for 30 million that’s being quoted. Any thoughts on him as a player?

Ricky83

{Ed001's Note - no idea, he plays in a league I never watch.}

1.) 29 Jan 2018 08:50:55
He was very average when we humped Moscow 7- 0 before xmas - southampton can waste 30mill on him.

28 Jan 2018 04:31:01
Not a fan of migs but is he was not to blame for any of the goals today so I can’t understand why there is repeated calls for him to be chopped when klopp has clearly indicated that Karius is his number one for the rest of season. Migs will be gone in summer fellow reds. Now moving onto our midfield, watching the game at Anfield today I got to see how slow and ineffective our midfield is. I can really see why klopp does not fancy Can very slow in moving the ball on and would suit Italian football. I’m still to understand what wijnaldum offers us. I won’t get started on the defence as they was all shocking and the protection from midfield did not help as they just keep on leaving the defence exposed. West Brom we’re well organised fair play to them they throughly deserved the victory. Looking at our bench today I kept thinking who could come on and be the game changer like other top sides have. Earlier in the season we had the likes off ox an mane on the bench to come on and make a difference. I really hope klopp does sign somebody even on a loan to freshen the attack up as we do look out of sorts with salah and firminho the only players looking threatening. Sorry fellas rant over. Move on to Tuesday and hopefully 3 big points.

Migs May not have been at fault, but the disallowed goal showed that he hates coming off his line and is weak. Even the clear offside goal showed how easy forwards dominate him. Look how many times we floated in crosses and their keeper easily dealt with them.

2.) 28 Jan 2018 07:03:20
I agree Burley. He is terrible when there is any sort of aerial challenge to him. And why does he always do a second run up on goal kicks. he time wastes even when we're losing. In fairness Moreno, Taa, Matip, and all of our midfield had a mare. Gini and AOC were invisible for most of the first half.

3.) 28 Jan 2018 07:55:58
Migs had next to nothing to do and did all of it pretty unconvincingly.

That error for the offside goal was embarrassing.

His distribution was largely terrible.

He is a lovey guy and I wish him well but the simple fact is that he isn’t good enough for a supposedly top team.

If klopp has decided he isn’t good enough then he should not be playing. Ether play your aupposed number one or give the younger keeper in ward a chance.

4.) 28 Jan 2018 08:51:01
He let in another 2 apart from the 3 that counted! They may have been offside, but he didn’t know that and his reactions were appalling!

5.) 28 Jan 2018 10:16:08
Distribution and clearances is part of goalkeeping and he’s abysmal at both.

6.) 28 Jan 2018 10:16:08

Anybody in midfield who can contribute with goals and assists would be more than welcome. Would love to know the contributions with assists and goals from midfield compared to other teams from the top 6.

The figure is what’s been touted about for Allison so no a magical save does not warrant a 50 million price tag but watching him throughout the game he made some good saves and looked very assured. There is a reason why he is being looked at by a lot of clubs and is highly regarded.

Whatever has gone on coutinho on the pitch he has been magnificent for us. He is leaving us in a very healthy position last 16 of the champions league and 4th in the league. He has contributed to some memorable moments at LFC which should never be forgotten. His behaviour could have been better in getting his dream but maybe he was worried Barcelona would go and sign players and not come back in for him. I am sad at coutinho going but life goes on and wish him well and not be bitter about it. Bought him for 8.5 million and sold him for 146 million how can we really argue with that? Move on fellow reds and trust in klopp to replace him well. Sorry to hear about your loss ed thoughts and prayers with you at such a tragic time.

Totally agree with your points. Sturridge looks like his confidence is shot to pieces and can't play under klopp. The movement, skilful and sharp sturridge seems like a long distant memory. What a shame as on his day he was a class act. our opponents seem to be sharper than us, what's gone wrong?
