Liverpool win their last 2 games, we qualify for the Champions League. If Arsenal lose against either Stoke and Southampton away this week, and United lose at Tottenham. A win at West Ham will mean they neither of them can catch us. Before the season started, I'd have been pleased to be in this position. It's a step forward from last year. Stop tearing the team and players apart and support them to the end of the season.

You know what, your right! Need more fans like you! It's just dissapointing when we could be so much more and throw away results etc. Bigger picture we are progressing. Klopp dosent have a magic wand I suppose. Be great if the fans could pull us over the finish line with some support we are famous for! YNWA.

What difference does it make if we support them on here or not ( hardly think the players or manager read these comments ) . The place to really get behind the team is Anfield.

Though I do agree that we need to support the players more at Anfield, atmosphere was shocking yesterday, it's not true that players don't check websites and social media, Sturridge recently made a comment that the things some fans write about him on social media hurt and upset him.

Now I know many will say 'oh boo hoo, man up' but in the end of the day it doesn't matter how much money they are on they are still human beings like you and me, how many of you could deal with looking on the internet after a bad day at work and seeing people saying horrible things about you.

We are supporters and we need to support!

Yesterday was a mixture of players not having the balls to step up and really try and force a result and a game plan which has already failed against Southampton failing again. I agree that just savaging a player (or players) makes little sense but I think criticism is more than fair given that performance and the context of the game: very important match, at home, playing for CL football, against a side who've gotten the best of us multiple times this season - and we produce a damp squib of a showing with no player really doing much - I think criticism is fair.

Seano, I disagree with your post. You say that our players did not have the balls to step up. What were you asking them to do? Do things that collectively, they cannot do? Ask Firmino to suddenly have the pace to get behind the back line? have Clyne suddenly become Cafu and whip in quality crosses? I suggest you stick reality on the pitch. We had NO help from the FB's who could get behind the low block and get quality into the box which negates our system as our wide player in Cout and Bobby play narrow.

We did not have the tools to get the job done and under the circumstances, we were unlucky to get all three points with the missed pen as much as we were lucky not to lose the whole game. At this point, you definitely don't wanna lose the game knowing fully well that Arsenal or Utd would drop points in their game. it is for this reason that CL is still in our hands and that is smart play from Klopp. If you can't win the game, DON'T LOSE IT!

Hi Ed2, thanks for all your updates. This site is always the place I visit to find out the latest transfer news. Liverpool have been meeting with Barcelona to discuss Coutinho on more than one occasion. In my opinion, if Liverpools stance is he's not for sale, why do they even bother having the meetings? By meeting them, I think we're encouraging them to put a bid in and indicating to the player the club will consider selling him. Also this is distracting the club from working on incoming deals. Is my point of view naive?

{Ed002's Note - It is business as usual. Clubs meet with other to discuss players joining and leaving.}
