Hi ed's,

Is Arsenals interest in sterling serious? I really hope we can get him to sign a new deal but I don't think it will happen if we don't get champions league.

Red Raj

{Ed002's Note - To be honest I don't know. It has not been mentioned by someone I know who works for the club.}

1.) 30 Mar 2015 12:14:33
Also being reported, wether true or not he's turned down 180,000 a week? which for a lad so young is really stupid money to earn, If that's the case put a price on him of 50-60 million take it if some one offer's it & invest in 2 other players. He's good but not to that extent & then he obviously doesn't want to play for us.

{Ed001's Note - it is simply not true, he has not been offered that much to turn it down.}

2.) 30 Mar 2015 15:41:51
You still beleive he will sign ed?

{Ed001's Note - it still seems the most likely option.}

Agger has put he's house and restaurant in lark lane up for sale. Looks like he is getting ready to leave.

Red Raj

1.) Very sad moment what a amazing defender

2.) Would be sadder to see him play a bit-part at Liverpool. Good luck DAgger, there's not many that will remember you as anything less than a hero in the red shirt, and as your knuckles will always remind you, YNWA.

3.) Erm. i'm not saying Agger won't leave - But this is nonsense as Daniel sold those Restaurants years ago on Lark Lane!

4.) A train He has 3 restaurants and just sold one on lark lane. He owned 2 which were sold years ago and was part owner of another so your the one talking nonsense.

5.) 10 Jul 2014 18:48:17
It seems like the club has decided it's time for Agger to leave. When he signed from Brondby 8 years ago the clubs made an agreement that LFC should play a friendly in Brondby. So far the club hasn't been able to fullfill that agreement but suddenly the friendly was anounced a few weeks ago and with rather short notice. Somehow it just adds to the overall picture that the club is expecting Agger to leave soon.

Hi eds,

Do you think Rodgers will ask Stevie to quit international football after the world cup?

Red Raj

{Ed001's Note - he has already suggested it, as his comments made clear regarding him having a decision to make.}

29 Nov 2013 13:58:52
Hi eds,

Just got back from Goa so not been up to date with the latest but is there any news on a new contract for BR I think he is doing a great job. Or do you think the owners will see where we finish this season.

Red raj {Ed001's Note - I don't know of any plan or need to give him a new contract right now. There is no rush, better to see how things lie in the New Year, once the window has shut.}

Red Raj

1.) 30 Nov 2013 13:55:51
Its far too early to consider a new contract for BR. we have had a favourable run of fixtures since the start of the season in my opinion. When we were tested in the odd tougher game, we've struggled. I am certainly not getting carried away by our current league position. The owners really need to wait until the end of the season to assess contract matters. Its still unclear whether Suarez will remain at the club beyond January which remains a real concern and I am hearing Sturridge may be out injured now for 3 months after doing his ankle ligament in training yesterday.

09 Aug 2013 07:52:47
Darren Lewis just said that he still expects Arsenal to sign Suarez and Henry said the same statement before torres was sold a few days later. He said that Arsenal are very confident the next bid will get their man. Hope he isn't right. Also he said that we will not keep an unhappy player at the club.

Red Raj

1.) To be fair to JWH, he said that very early in his tenure as the owner and Torres was only sold 3 months later.

2.) I actually believe they will not sell Suarez to Arsenal. I believe "Suarat" will only be sold if a team from abroad comes in for him with an offer around £50 million. I sure as hell hope they don't sell him to Arsenal. Not that I wouldn't like to see the back of him after all the BS he's pulled, but we can't sell him to one of our main rivals in the chase for a top 4 spot. Simple as that.

3.) He did not say that

4.) Wonder how Darren Lewis knows this?. Maybe he got this information from where he got the release clause story. Poor Poor Suarez the most ill advised man in world football

5.) Just saw it on the net it might not be true because they can twist things.

6.) I can't read Henry's mind nor predict the future but what he said is unequivocal. "I will not sell Suarez to Arsenal" he also claims he has spoken to Gazidis personally to tell him exactly that.

7.) I can't see how we can sell him to the Arse no matter how much money they bid. John Henry left everyone in no doubt whatsoever and let's face it, our experience of American owners should have taught us that American businessmen never lie. Sewerez is destined to sit on the bench until he grovels an apology.

8.) I believe this to be the year when power of negotiation and right of refusal to negotiate go back to the clubs owning player rights. I'm a die hard LFC fan and I would love nothing more than for us to keep both Agger and Suarez - but also for Tottenham to keep Bale, Man U to keep Rooney and for Chelsea to keep Luiz. It will finally show that players and big spending clubs cannot orchestrate transfers whenever they feel like it.

Also, I find it strange that it is legal for other clubs to publicly state their interest in another club's players, which often will result in unsettling the player in question. You can say what you want about the American sports' player trading system, but it works, not least because they are very strict in this regard which they dub 'tampering'.

9.) He didn't say that. he said torres was sold the next window which was january. torres wasnt allowed go that summer as they had no replacement then for him. same again this time round.
henry said that they can't get a suitable replacement for suarez in time therefore he won't be sold. it was the same with torres until that january as we got suarez as the replacement. i'm sure we will sell suarez in january if we act early in the window to replace him.

10.) Whilst we have all read/heard what John Henry said I still believe he will leave the final decision up to Brendan Rodgers whether or not to sell Suarez.

When Real Madrid decide Bale is too expensive they will then turn their attention towards Suarez and Rodgers will sell . as for a replacement, your guess is as good as mine, I haven't a clue.

We might well have another opening campaign where we are light up front again and have to wait and buy in the January window (hopefully not, but that is the way I see it going).

11.) What about this a swap deal Suarez for Costa plus £20m or so. Everyone gets what they want. I'm sure Suarez would love it at Atlético Madrid.

Imagine spending 70 million and still having Moreno at LB.

Red Raj

1.) 05 Aug 2016 07:08:33
I know - it's shocking that the transfer window has shut and we can't sign anyone also!

2.) 05 Aug 2016 07:40:06
We haven't tho, we've got milner.

3.) 05 Aug 2016 08:01:49
Imagination comes to reality.
One word Shame!

4.) 05 Aug 2016 08:02:17
Some of the posts are embarrassing on here. We all know we need a LB as does Klopp. I'm sure we will sign someone when the right deal is presented. Still a significant period of time left in the current window.

5.) 05 Aug 2016 08:30:06
Its not really embarassing in fact this post paints a sorry picture. We have spent excessively already without addressing a gaping hole.

6.) 05 Aug 2016 08:30:21
Name a LB better than Moreno, who is available, that wants to come to us. It is not as straight forward as you might think. There are many factors that determine our transfers in and out. Unfortunately, the fans' impatience isn't one of them. Despite knowing more than Klopp and everyone else at LFC, we have to accept that we will be ignored.

7.) 05 Aug 2016 08:41:57
I still think we will get a LB, but could be dreaming. its not as if there still isn't plenty of time though.

8.) 05 Aug 2016 08:49:23
I posted last week that that I was told we wouldn't be signing anyone else and we are going with milner, so I think this talk of getting a left back is purely academic to be honest.

9.) 05 Aug 2016 09:35:04
I hope you're wrong Waro. Getting in an experienced left back like Héctor could be the difference between top four and another disappointing season. Milner and Moreno are not good enough, I'd rather start the season with Klavan there.

10.) 05 Aug 2016 09:41:43
The fact of the matter is we didn't adress our biggest worry first. And if all you guys are happy with that saying, aaah we have so much time left to buy more players waste more money (because our first choice who was the cheapest option is out the window now) maybe your happy to settle for mediocrity then, or happy other clubs will still see our buisness side as a joke. If my right front tyre is worn i won't go replacing my back left first.

11.) 05 Aug 2016 11:39:34
@Preso you are wrong. It is actually quite fortunate that signings aren't based on fans impatience 😄.

I have lost all faith in the ownership. They have made mistake after mistake but this one is the worst yet.They need to many advisors when they should just sit down and look at the cold hard facts. Rodgers is a failure and is destroying this club. They have also failed big time and even though they have invested in the club they are just to stupid to own and run it. They seem to have less and less interest and I for one can not wait till 2017. I don't care if the new owners don't have loads of money as long as they do what is right for the club. I have seen better managers in tescos.

Hi ed's,

I was just wandering if the stadium is on track to to be completed on time. And also if there has been any real interest in the naming rights.

Red Raj

{Ed001's Note - bit early to tell that mate, right now it is on track. There have been ongoing talks regarding naming rights to the stands, also adding a sponsor's name to that of the stadium. There will always be interest in those kind of things.}

1.) 26 May 2015 08:36:33
I read our Europa early rounds will cause disruption with the stadium. Need Arsenal to win to avoid this.

Adds to the disaster.

If we loose today we are basically out of the Champions league. We are 4 points from the bottom 3 in the league It would not just be one result it will be a number of bad results. Imo I can't see him given another transfer window. I see a new manager and a dof at the club by Jan.

Ed002 can the club who own say the 80% buy out the third party at any time even outside the transfer window?

{Ed002's Note - Yes but typically they don't have the money.}

What about Wilson ed001? I always liked him although i have not been able to watch much of the academy recently.

Red Raj

{Ed001's Note - did you not read what I put mate? Wilson has got a look in with the first team so no point mentioning him.}

Have to agree what has he achived nothing. If his name was Rodgers you would want him sacked. He failed in both finals one of which cost us a champions league spot, a final we were winning at half time so he obviously failed to motivate the players. So many fans think he is some kind of God because of his name. And a 8th place finish is pathetic really. I would think if he failed to get top 4 next season he will be managing back in Germany soon.

Fowler but away from Liverpool I love watching Le Tissier if he cut out the Kebabs and beer he would have been even better.
