Hi Ed001 and Ed002 question because couldn't see it mentioned at all.

Amadou Haidara? Seem to recall some previous interest.

Do you think he would make a good short or long term signing?

Is it financially quite low/ calculated risk?

Is there still interest? And if so is it doable?

Thanks in advance. I know you have a lot of whiners on your case at the min.

OscarA

{Ed002's Note - He may well move but Liverpool are not looking to him.}

Random question I know. Not posted for a long time. But Ed002 Just wondering liverpool have considered pursuing Pulisic this summer?

OscarA

{Ed002's Note - Christian Pulisic (W) Borussia Dortmund were open to taking the player back, and like the other wingers at Chelsea, the club may be interested to hear proposals. Borussia Dortmund were not open to discussions regarding part exchanges and because of that, their interest in Pulisic may have waned. Juventus have asked Chelsea to be kept informed of the situation during discussions about another player - but I suspect that Pulisic is not first choice for them. Barcelona expressed an interest in late 2020 but Chelsea had no interest in the players being offered in exchange. It would not be a shock to see him leave.}

Good player but he's perpetually injured.

2.) 01 Jun 2022 13:52:42
Good player but made entirely out of crisps. Is injured far too often.

3.) 01 Jun 2022 14:22:54
Good player but he has the fortitude of balsa wood.

4.) 01 Jun 2022 15:54:55
Good player but sometimes covers himself in baby oil and pretends he’s a Slug.

5.) 01 Jun 2022 17:42:38
Thanks for the reply Ed002.

6.) 01 Jun 2022 19:21:21
Good player but made entirely out of crisps.

I think you mean Kit Kats. He is from my hometown of Hershey ya know 😂.

{Ed0666's Note - Now that’s some damn fine chocolate there Pete

7.) 01 Jun 2022 20:05:58
Nah American chocolate is nasty, the chocolate we have here is no much nicer.

8.) 01 Jun 2022 21:54:04
eds066, despite my bias for Good Old Hershey I have to admit the chocolate is far inferior to all the wonderful chocolatiers that come from Europe! My wife is from Bologna Italy and she mocks me often for the low quality chocolate we produce here in the states. But we did produce kotkat pulisic 😂.

{Ed0666's Note - your wife makes an excellent point but Almond Joy isn’t too bad and that is good old American made no?

Question for any of the eds. With finances and squad spaces an issue at present. Is there any clubs that have centre halfs we are interested in or could be interested in, who there is a possibility of swap deals for Origi who need a forward and are strapped for cash? He has obviously fell far down the pecking order. And we don't seen to have too many problems up top with cover. Thanks.

OscarA

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware of.}

1.) 13 Nov 2020 22:00:10
Cheers Ed002. Seems like its going to be a case of just cracking on. No point crying over spilt milk. Let's see what the season brings. Everyone is going to have problems with the current predicament. Just have to try solving them see who does it best.

New to posting. don't jump down my throat. Been reading for a while. Just a thought being that it not the usual suspects according to what macca said. Could it possibly be Kingsley Coman.

OscarA

{Ed002's Note - Welcome Oscar. Kingsley Colman is not a player being considered by Liverpool right now.}

1.) 12 Jan 2018 21:22:37
Nice one for a quick reply ed002. If so hope we go for fekir. But not going to hold my breath. Hopefully a win sunday could go someway to showing we will be fine till end of season if no one comes in.

{Ed002's Note - Fekir would be a great option Oscar but it would be a real battle against Arsenal for him.}

2.) 12 Jan 2018 21:28:33
Surely we have a bit more pull than arsenal at present. Player preference i suppose. Thanks for reply anyway ed002. I shall return haha.

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps. But Arsenal are now well in to a period of significant change, they have a nice new stadium, and players can live in the south where they don't need to stumble through the cobblestone streets of Liverpool with dead and dying pit ponies in the road.}

3.) 12 Jan 2018 21:34:26
So if that's the case it's a straight run for lemar if arsenal are more interested in fekir, an we still won't get him.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 21:38:09
Now now ed002. I thought we where vibing then. Liverpool not that bad. Well not all of it haha. Ill take that as and i know your not a fan of Klopp through reading but least he definately going to be there next season. And arsenal loosing their 2 best players by the look of it and who knows With Wenger. Game of opinions though. And it is a banter page after all. Think you giving me a little initiation there to see if i react like half the cranks do on here.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 21:39:28
What do the Ed’s think of Kingsley Coman as a player? I get he’s young, played for big teams and apparently very talented but whenever I’ve seen him plate he comes across as very average. One for the future I assume!

{Ed002's Note - He is young and got over-hyped early on. He nearly moved to England but won’t now be leaving Bayern anytime soon - unless the new manager doesn’t want him.}

6.) 12 Jan 2018 22:45:50
looks like arsenal going to get a great player in fekir and no doubt he'll be cheaper than Lamar if that's actually who we are chasing and probably over paying for just like it seems we did with nabby.

7.) 12 Jan 2018 23:42:20
Thanks ed, so much hype yet when I watched him he looked decent but nothing more.

I do quite a bit of work for players from both sides. In the middle of work for a certain nameless player who gets a lot of hate on this site. Also have people working for me there on a regular basis. I won't name names. But you can prob guess But football aside. He is actually a nice enough lad. And can hold a conversation in English well. A lot of the Everton players are nice blokes. And some realy nice younger kids from both. Few not so.

For the eds. Would Kabak be an option if liverpool were to include a player Swap, someone like Origi. Or do they just need cash there? If so could Origi be sold to fund a move for him. While I'm all for showing faith in the youth. Are they going to handle the big stage. And if they don't, and have a few bad games then how detrimental would that be to their career longterm?

OscarA

{Ed002's Note - Ozan Kabak (CB) has been of past interest to both Manchester sides, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich but the asking price has always been see as high, although it seemed to be something between €35M and €40M it could have reduced due to the pandemic and Schalke having financial issues. The interest of the Manchester sides when he left Galatasaray for Stuttgart and he hit an age where he could never qualify as Home Grown in England - and that is something Liverpool should concern themselves with as well. I am not so sure he is the starter Liverpool have been looking for, but he will be cheaper than both Llorente and Diego Carlos and could still push Joe Gomez in to the background. He is well thought of by Borussia Dortmund who wanted Tanguy Kouassi as a replacement for Toprak and Belardi but he moved to Bayern Munich resulting in their making an approach and being told he is not for sale - but they have declared an interest. Schalke say they have also been approached by Juventus and Leicester. A far better option for Liverpool than Mandi but Schalke, who were reluctant to sell, but will now let him leave after his five game ban and the huge backlash there has been over him spitting at an opponent from Werder Bremen at the time of the pandemic. A foul human being. Origi does not figure in this.}
