Why isn't there more rumours regarding Lloyd Kelly? He tick some of the boxes the club surely must have in mind. Young homegrown LB/CB.
Was there any hard feelings when he didn't choose LFC over Bournemouth or is he simply not good enough? If I remember correctly he went for something like £10-15m when he left Bristol. What's his current market value?

I don’t think his value will have increased.

Recycled stuff from 2 years ago. Like always, it is int'l break so slow news day.

Are there any of the more high profiled english players you can see become of interest for LFC the next two or three transferwindows?
The valuation aspect is really hard to get a grip on, especially for british players. When I read about valuations of 60£+ for players like Ben White and 100£+ for Sancho it becomes hard to ever see M.Edwards find good business in such deals. C. Jones must be a blessing in the sky regarding the HG concerns for the people handling the transfers.

I agree £60m, £100m it’s just ridiculous. Not sure how we can easily solve the homegrown issues. The third keeper will have to be HG. Milner can’t go on forever so we have to hope for other HG players to step up from the academy. The lb signing was a strange one as we should have gone for HG, I quite like the lad at Everton who is playing lb.

{Ed002's Note - Home Grown don't need to come from the academy - HG is players like Ben White.}

2.) 29 Dec 2020 19:05:04
Yes Ed but these HG players like white are way over priced.

{Ed002's Note - As I have said before, Liverpool are in a hole over poor squad management.}

3.) 29 Dec 2020 19:20:55
Home grown should be through the academy like Kelleher and then Pitaluga coming through after him.

Why is Phillips being omitted from the first team in the league when Matip is injured, his performances when he started were more than competent? He will have to work hard at reading the play to make up for some physical deficiencies but that’s ok.

With the possibility to lose most of our loanees (Clyne, Wilson, Ings, Kent, Ojo etc. ) plus Lallana, Sturridge, Woodburn and even Milner is there any reason to be worried about the homegrown quota?

Oldbat

{Ed001's Note - what homegrown quota?}

1.) 15 May 2019 10:20:35
Number of british players in the squad.

{Ed002's Note - It works the other way around. The limit is the number of non HG over 21.}

2.) 15 May 2019 10:59:57
Trent
Milner
Hendo
Gomez
Brewster
Does anyone else who will stay qualify?
We should maybe look to a 3rd choice HG keeper.

3.) 15 May 2019 11:01:44
Okay, after doing a bit of homework I see that the number of non HG players in the squad can be 17. If I do a quick check of the current squad I get the number to 15, including Moreno. At least that means some limitations to fans "wishlists".

4.) 15 May 2019 11:34:25
Ah, but that's pretty much the same thing isn’t it? - say the spoon fed fools. It may be pedantic, but a lack of pedantry is why so much ox cack makes it’s way through to being fact.

5.) 15 May 2019 13:20:12
Markp08. You've forgotten Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

6.) 15 May 2019 14:37:53
I knew there was someone else I should never forgot the OX.

With the new contracts for our key players and our last signings, what room to invest do the club have the next couple of years, if we don't sell anyone, before FFP gets involved?

Oldbat

{Ed002's Note - LFC cannot simply add players without moving otehrs on.}

1.) 04 Mar 2019 11:45:59
then i suggest that the club work as hard as they can to get rid of dead wood. Mignolet, Lallana, Sturridge, Origi. no what the price we get, move on abut buy players who can give us different options and play with pace and power.

if we are not going to give Wilson, Kent and Ojo game, move them on as well.

2.) 04 Mar 2019 11:50:36
There is definitely more room to improve our squad but like Ed002 said, there are a lot of squad and average players that need to be moved on first. Sturridge, Origi, Migs, Moreno, Lallana, Clyne, Ings, Chirivella all need to be moved on so we can sign one or two top players and blood some youngsters. We have two many high paid senior players that have contributed little to zilch to our season so far and need to be moved on before we can sign the elusive forward to challenge our front 3 and maybe two quality defenders.

3.) 04 Mar 2019 12:06:07
There is more chance of you playing for Liverpool than Ojo. Hope you can play midfield and actually run forward ha. Maybe you could even try a shot.
