Ahoy there eds,
Do you have any thoughts as to which club will swoop in and snatch LFC target Valon Berisha hours before he signs?

MrSpiggot

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe we are targeting him.}

1.) That's the idea mrSpiggot let's all start rumours we are after loads of players to throw spurs chelskie and any other teams off the scent of our real targets!

Which By the seems will b some 19yo unproven 5million buy. 4th place here we come. Bye bye Luis thanks for the memories

2.) 23 Jan 2014 18:57:18
To be honest Ed02 did warn us about this scenario. Looks like he got it right. Fair play to him.

Mark

3.) Ed2 was right. The worst thing is we lose Suarez and he will be replaced by more below par rubbish along the lines of Joe Allen/Victor Moses. I would love to be proved wrong but we have the weakest squad in the top six by a long way.

Hello eds,
Can you shed any light on the de Jong loan move rumours?
Surely the club couldn't afford his wages and seal the deal for Salah could they?

MrSpiggot

{Ed002's Note - I don't see why Milan would let him go on loan.}

Eds,
A couple of questions for you, if you can oblige:

I've used the search function but can't find an answer as to the reasons for why Can has been allowed Can to run his contract down.

I'm aware JK isn't convinced about him, but the fact he can walk for free in a few months is deeply frustrating, and surely runs counter to FSG's investor mind set.

I'm fuming about this. why isn't Jurgen the German convinced about him?
Is EC just unrealistic in requiring a guarantee of game time?

Secondly, I follow two Brazilian journos who are usually spot on reliable with regards FCB.
Both say LFC have been asked if Rafinha is of interest.

Do you know if this the case?
And if yes, what the response would have been?

Muchas gracias.

MrSpiggot

{Ed002's Note - If he doesn’t want to sign a new contract he can let it run down - it is out of the hands of the club. Rafinha is correct - maybe they got the information from here.}

1.) 06 Jan 2018 22:03:56
I don’t understand why any fan gives 2 hoots about a player running their contract down.
It’s their career, if they fulfil a contract why shouldn’t they be allowed to continue their career how they see fit?
So we could have got £20million for him, so what? Do you think FSG would have used that £20m to lower ticket prices? So why would you care?

2.) 06 Jan 2018 22:33:09
Ed, Regarding Rafinha, he isn't part of the Couts deal but could he still arrive as a seperate deal then?

{Ed002's Note - why do you try to complicate everything.}

3.) 06 Jan 2018 22:35:26
As long as a player plays with the same motivation and enthusiasm in their last game as they did in their first game, i actually think it takes a great deal of loyalty to see out a contract in the modern game.

Unfortunately, most players seemingly run down their contracts so they can get the large signing on fee and slightly higher wages that are commonplace with a Bosman deal. That intention becomes more suspicious when players like Alexis Sanchez and Emre Can put in the bare minimum effort for clubs that have done nothing but back them and pay them handsomely for about 4 years, in the final years of their contracts. A stark contrast to say, Robert Lewandowski who literally played the season of his life in his final year at Dortmund, despite knowing full well he wasn't and staying.

4.) 06 Jan 2018 22:40:49
Spiggot what makes u sure clubs would have been interested in Can if he was expensive to buy (like a value of 30 to 50 million) ? He's simply not good enough to be offerred a new contract. Juve r mostly only interested bcoz he's free. He may be a good player in the italian league we have to wait and see but will never be good enough in the PL. He's severly lacking in game reading plus the fact that he slows plays down.

5.) 06 Jan 2018 23:28:06
Thanks for the reply ed002

But you didn't say what LFC's response was likely to be with regards the Rafinha question.

Also, I get that JK isn't convinced about Can, no problem, but why wasn't he sold?

{Ed002's Note - I have ex[plained before that Klopp likes Rafinha. Why wasn't Can sold when - and who to?}

Klopp has just said ''we defended well apart from the two goals''

Rodgers would have been slaughtered for such a stupid comment.

Fundamental, basic errors continuing at the back, and insufficient protection for the central defenders from midfield point to a wasted season.

We need a defensive coach, not a Klopp insider, but someone who knows the PL.

MrSpiggot

1.) 13 Sep 2017 22:46:04
The midfield don't help enough they create enough but are far too porous, I'm still at a loss as to what Henderson does, Coutinho should start in the middle with can and wiji. The defence need organising I don't think it's just their ability it's the lack of organisation. Is firmino a known penalty taker or just he best we have?

2.) 13 Sep 2017 22:42:33
How would a coach stop basic and fundamental errors? Defenders are simply not good enough with all the brain farts. Klopp was right, we defended well apart from the two goals. He's 100% correct.
If one in the back like switches off they all crumble and make mistakes. That's what happened twice.

{Ed002's Note - If he didn't keep switching things around they could play better together.}

4.) 14 Sep 2017 03:20:31
TBH Ed002, Klopp will get lambasted if he persists with the current defenders for multiple games coz they make so may individual errors game after game. It will stink of favoritism and the pressure will become insurmountable from the fans and the press. We are already seen Matip strolling around when he is supposed to be defending so that already shows Klopp let's mistakes pass by without holding players responsible for lack of concentration and laziness.
The GK situation is a disastrous mess and its time to keep Karius in goal as Migs is not LFC material.

5.) 14 Sep 2017 16:44:42
Buy better players or change the system to cater for weakness and protect vulnerable areas. oh and totally agree with Ed stop playing dip, dip, dip with the goalkeeper and defenders every week.

Very disappointed with the second half performance, we looked tired and lacking in inspiration/ belief.

Hopefully we will still be in serious contention for a top four spot in January, and will add proven quality to the back line, although I somehow doubt it.

Who really believed a back four of TAA (highly promising as he is), Matip, Klavan, and Moreno could keep Citeh at bay?

Disappointing also that Salah wasted another clear opportunity, as he did against Cech, but today's chance was more crucial.

Reality has come crashing in.

The club has done a very sharp bit of business with regards Divock, IMO.

Wolfsburg pay his wages, will pay a whopping loan fee of six million of your English pounds, and he can be recalled in January.

Solanke must've made a big impression, but I hope Divock has a future at LFC.

Ed002.I would be able to match Rodger's win percentage, if I had Suarez to make me appear a 'tactical genius'

As I understand it, the one football related activity Suarez can be involved with, before the end of October, is the negotiation and agreement of a transfer.

He obviously could not play/train, or clean the lavs in the Nou Camp until the ban is served.

He is also not allowed to perform ANY training at LFC, or receive any attention, ie physio etc

he might be permitted to receive psychological attention though

Yes of course they are,,,,,, after months spent fannying around on the Saleh deal the club will swing into fevered action in the few hours left before the window closes.

The Dell was a great ground to buy a Wagon Wheel, long after it had been withdrawn from sale at more lardy dah grounds.

The open air urinals were old school as well.
