Someone has been using the 'sugar daddy' cheat in Fifa ;)

Seriously though, fun rumour. Would love to see it all pan out, guess time will tell!

I would be gutted to see Milner leave - but I wouldn't begrudge him the opportunity to leave and continue playing first team football well into his thirties. as long as it's not with one of our direct rivals ;-)

I was having a conversation with a few friends a couple weeks ago about Moreno, and after a bit of debate we came to a conclusion that not many teams have a backup LB of his level. Additionally, we struggled to name more than 5/ 6 from the Premier League we would have ahead of him in general (I can't recall the exact list, but it's probably obvious) - I even had a United fan in agreement on this point!

In my opinion, he is a great option to have in back up to Robbo, if we can keep ahold of him.

That being said, I could see him doing well in Spain if he went back.

87red, I think that is the only explanation. I had thought they got in some decent signings until I read the above and found out I was clearly wrong! haha.

I’m really mixed about this idea of this transfer, but willing to reserve judgment until I’ve actually seen him play.

However, I do feel like if he joins it means the writing is on the wall for Wilson/ Ojo this season. Maybe I could be wrong though!

I find it so frustrating how people only measure Salah’s performance in goals. He brings so much more to the team and I can’t believe some people (especially pundits! ) ignore it to create some ‘Salah crisis’ narrative. 😑.

I could be wrong, but hasn't he been injured recently? Maybe it's less a case of attitude keeping him off pitch and rather fitness.

Again though, I could be mistaken!

I wouldn't say many clubs have a 'back-up' of his standard - if we can call him that given how long he has had to start for with injuries!

If we keep keeping clean sheets, I have no complaints.

I love that suggestion Ed1 - I remember when I was playing youth footy it was essentially a case of "managers" throwing the biggest kid up top and telling everyone to hoof it to him. As someone who prefers to actually have a kickabout and not a 'hoofabout' it used to drive me mad.

Believe it or not - late last year, the local 5-a-side centre where we played in a league changed it to allow above head height because people kept complaining about the rule (SMH) . So 5-a-side games started turning into teams whacking it high and wide into the corners each time. Killed off any enjoyment of games.

I went on a bit of a rant there so probably lost sight of the point - I am all for anything that encourages children to actually 'play' while also negating any potential long-term injuries.

{Ed001's Note - Liverpool teams of old used to mostly play 6-a-side football on a small sided pitch. Kicking it long is easy, the hard part is keeping it in tight areas and threading passes through small gaps etc. That is what you need to practice if you are going to be a good player.}
