If a player wants out, there's not much we can do about it. Couts though has been a gentleman and very professional about the whole situation, so if he wants Barcelona the season after next, LFC will probably concede and let him move on for a significant fee. Keita seems to be the long term replacement, not an immediate one. Hopefully keeping Couts and signing Keita will help us win a major trophy next season until the eventual departure of Couts.

Why do people need to think we need to sign big? We've got the best game to game ratio against the top 10! The only thing we haven't got is squad depth, we need to make LB an left wing a priority for first team members then the rest is squad depth, the window isn't even open yet an people are being negative! Get off football manager an give some credit to klopp he knows what he's doing.

We have a good squad, we just need to address our weaknesses at the back. Adding a bit of quality in attack will also add depth as they will be fighting for a place!

Spot on, Fencey. Our core is very strong and more than a match for anyone when fit. We just need to address the weaknesses out wide at forward and FB and improve the depth and we should be fine.

Apart from knowing how to give the selling club a wee phone call, drop them a text, email. Anything.
But yeah do kind of agree we don't need to sign the so called world stars. But top quality is needed. If we get in a few to fill the obvious holes and 1 or 2 more that will push some starters and to the bench and into competition for a place we will have a seriously good squad. Not just starting 11.
