Worrying times for me in light of the fact Rodgers doesn't fancy Mario, Ricky or Fabio so plays Sterling up top on his own.
Where are the goals coming from?? Sterling hardly scores and, Lucas, Alen, Coutinho & Hendo couldn't hit a barn door.
Sturridge will need to set the world alight and stay fit for us to consider top four.
No pressure there then!

Just a couple of days to go! I've been like a junkie, completely addicted to this site and many more to try and get an insight into who we're being linked with.
Everyone knows we need a centre back and a winger, just dreading seeing Ayre leaving the office at 8pm, on ssn, having not signed the players we need.

A little disappointed that we've trimmed the wage bill and our net spend for the window has been nothing, but then we didn't have the money for Willian. Have we got anything in the pot for transfers at all. I think Rodgers is doing an amazing job but he'll need something to work with if we want to challenge for CL.

Apologies for stating the obvious but the reason Willian has gone to Spurs is pure and simple. We would only go to 23.5m and Spurs have stumped up the asking price. We won't be held to ransom over players values, which is honourable but be prepared to be disappointed a lot when we're linked with the more expensive players. Forgive the conspiracy theorist in me but I'm starting to wonder if the club want to look like we're interested in high end players (without ever making a serious offer) to keep us fans sweet. Don't get me wrong, I think we have some quality in the signings we've made but I think the winger we need will end up being more Scott Sinclair than Willian or Lamela.

When Downing goes we will be + 3.5M for the window. BR has done a top job letting those who weren't good enough go but time to get your hand in your pocket Mr Henry. Easier said than done but time to get some deals done John!
