Hi all. Cliche time. long time reader, first time poster lol. However it is true, when I say long time reader I'm going back over 10 years and more. i've been a supporter since the early 80s, so I've seen massive highs and lows. I enjoy seeing the opinions of fellow reds but I'm baffled by how a connected group of supporters of the same team, during a time of such highs, can be so against each other. Optimism is great, worried speculation is understandable after 28 years, but we are in the best position possible with half the season to go. Surely now is the time to come together and hope (with some concern due to previous attempts) and be that 12th man that we are known for.
Anyway I'm glad to be a new poster and hope you all have a great new year ahead.

Everyone has hope and belief. I literally saw posts the other day saying things like "if we win our next two games that the title is ours" and "there is no other outcome".
I believe we can and should win the league from this really strong position we are in. But I also believe we can and could lose the league from this position if we get ahead of ourselves. The only thing on people's minds should be supporting the team to a victory against Arsenal. Then City after that. And so on.
It's embarassing for the rest of us that have to put up with the "this is our year" jibes because of the loud minority.

One game at the time for the squad and Jurgen. But us fans should surely enjoy our own calculations and dreams. Part of the job as a fan, I'd say.
If we do win the next two, and Spurs drop 6 points from now til end of January, I really can't see us avoid winning the league. Might even have an extra bevvy after our Leicester match to celebrate if there is a 9 point gap to City and Spurs

Good on that loud minority I say, it's not embarrassing it's believing and after every single game we're seeing more and more believers :) . Boom! wait one second, are people not allowed to be excited? or aren't allowed to dream? aren't allowed to believe that this season is finally ours? come off it. I've shouted it from the rooftops for months and will continue to do so, we may well not get results from Arsenal or City, means bugger all, were winning the league regardless!
{Ed0333's Note - I concur with a fervent passion Salah. The fearsome sky blue mancunian juggernaut is malfunctioning possibly even having a full on meltdown and instead of celebrating our position we have to display an inferiority complex and doubt the notion we can win the premiership. This is Liverpool football club, winning honors is our game. Yes there has been scant little of that winning in recent years but now is the time this changes. This is a rennaisance, this is something beautiful with a German hallmark. Nobody is gonna tell me to proceed with caution. What was that quote about doubters and believers? Start believing guys.

Ed, here's another quote, "If we cannot make this journey to success as a family then, let us at least make this journey together as a group of very good friends" - Klopp. I have always said from the very beginning that I am riding with Klopp till the very end. IMO, we need to just stay grounded and focused BUT let us not start showing any form of inferiority complex as that is not the way to go. You can be humble and ambitious at the same time. These is not an either/ or issue. Up Da Pool!

Even if we miss out, which is looking unlikely. I think we will have a clearer picture after the next 2 games. Even if we pick up just 2 points, that leaves us in a fantastic position. If we won them both I don't see us being caught.
But, even if we miss out, the progression of the squad has been amazing this year. We will go up a tier in European football (at least one, maybe 2) and we are serious contenders now. We have blown utd out of sight, that alone. This team is going to win the league. If not this year then next. We don't have an old squad, we have one coming into its prime. Good year's ahead I think.

How's it embarrassing MK, some people believe mate, nothing wrong with that, surely? I believe we'll win it, without a shadow of a doubt and I'll continue saying it, I'm not bothered about the majority who are paranoid, I'm going with what I think will happen and to me that's not embarrassing, it's simply having a different opinion. Too many people writing us off in my opinion, we're not respected as much as we should be, this IS our year, mark my words.
I get laughed at for saying it now, we'll see who's laughing come May when we lift the trophy, it's not about arrogance (as somebody said the other day) or about jinxing things, it's about believing and peoole are well entitled to believe we're going to win the league, that's not embarrassing.
