Just reading that spurs have agreed a 25m fee for bissouma seems a bit of a steal, is there any interest at that price or is it already a done deal with spurs?

Lordpud

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool are not making any attempt to sign him.}

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t add another mid. Carvahlo, Elliott, Jones, Hendo, Keita, Fab, Thiago, Milner are definitely staying so is there even room. Personally, add the RB cover, lose Ox and I’m 50/ 50 on Minamino. I think that’s enough.

2.) 14 Jun 2022 13:36:43
Paul Joyce is reporting that we'll wait until next summer to sign a midfielder and then go for Bellingham.

3.) 14 Jun 2022 14:08:29
Mk not sure how we could sign Bellingham next season when we will have to replace Salah without any funds towards it like Mane this season.

4.) 14 Jun 2022 14:15:36
I’m inclined to agree although I have a sneaky suspicion Liverpool will announce something unexpected in the coming weeks. A relatively unknown hardworking, high energy, pressing, dynamic player that slides seamlessly into the Liverpool system and who will be given the opportunity to make a name for himself at Anfield. A Henderson understudy maybe? Or does Jones already fit that bill?
Speculative thinking on my part perhaps but I can’t ignore that feeling in my bones. Exactly who that player is likely to be is anyones guess? Do we even need another midfielder?

5.) 14 Jun 2022 14:22:56
Always options Grino. Gnabry will be out of contract, or we could promote from within (Jota, Gordon, Carvalho, Elliott etc) .

I think Bellingham is over priced and a big risk. If Klopp/ Ward do intend to go for him next summer though, who am i to argue with them.

6.) 14 Jun 2022 14:23:04
Price seems to good to be true unless its a gamble from spurs over the legal issues, looks a bargain compared to others.

7.) 14 Jun 2022 14:56:19
Building a good squad conte. I'd of took bissouma.

8.) 14 Jun 2022 15:22:55
Is that Bissouma who was supposed to be costing us north of £40 mill?

9.) 14 Jun 2022 15:26:14
Most teams don't care about character or players, which, in the end is likely to be to their detriment.
There is no way we go into next season with the same MF, too many injury issues and inconsistencies . We need some new muscle in there.

10.) 14 Jun 2022 15:33:17
Definitely Magico, but if klopps of d idea of waiting to get the man he wants in Bellingham i'd be delighted with that also. And on the Salah replacement, as i said in another thread earlier Gordon could be nearer to being ready. Will be our Saka that kid.

11.) 14 Jun 2022 17:44:43
Do we have anyone of great potential in the youth squad that can fill in for Fabinho were he to be injured? I’m very happy with carvalho Jones and Elliot pushing for a place. Would happily take someone replacing naby if he left but for now just getting the Aberdeen kid could be a strong window. Another successful season under our belts and hopefully we can buy whatever position we are needing.

12.) 14 Jun 2022 20:09:16
Theres a lad Bajcetic who looks the part but probably not physically ready yet.

13.) 14 Jun 2022 21:35:16
There is a reason the asking price for Bissouma is lower than expected. Brighton can’t wait to get rid of him.
That’s not the type of player or personality we want at our club. Spurs can have him and face the consequences.

14.) 14 Jun 2022 22:53:01
Bissouma in his last year contract Brighton aren't a wealthy club already signed kowolski caicedo and a striker undan top scorer in Belgium last season. I expect this to be good business from Potter again. Best manager outside the top 2. I’d be disappointed to see cucerrella leave this summer I would like to see how this brighton team develops. Some serious talent there just need goals.

endo by all accounts a decent player so I won't be writing him off but with him filling one of the 2 overseas player slots does that mean we'll look to an English midfielder maybe kalvin Phillips he was decent before Man City but it would leave me a little anxious and uninspired lol.

I wonder who else is going to leave yet.
Matip? Kostas? We really don't need Kostas anymore.

2.) 17 Aug 2023 08:03:55
Monkey I agree, I think Kostas is surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave if a suitable bid comes in for him.

3.) 17 Aug 2023 08:16:00
Can we not just bin Adrian’s contract?

Hi eds,
Any chance you can shed any light on why we didn't move for shaquiri? It seems strange that last year and in January we were interested but he was too expensive and now when he's available for 13.5 m we aren't interested
Cheers pud, great site by the way

{Ed001's Note - because he is trouble and has not played well in years.}

1.) 11 Aug 2015 18:41:56
Yeah his club form has been poor but still has been very consistent in the national team

2.) 11 Aug 2015 20:16:23
Not being funny, but his international form is irrelevant

3.) 11 Aug 2015 22:40:09
Yet when we didn't sign him you were all slagging BR and the club, Now he is rubbish and trouble.

4.) 11 Aug 2015 22:53:36
I don't think it's irrelevant it shows he can still be a top player playing in a team that he's happy with I think the loan move to inter didn't work and he was always going to struggle to really push into the bayern team . I don't want him at Liverpool but I think if he settles down and is happy he will be a very useful signing for Stoke . Some players just fit with certain clubs sometimes it's down to attitude of the player other times is just about getting the right fit . Switzerland play to his strengths and if Stoke do the same he should start to get back to becoming a quality player again at club level

5.) 12 Aug 2015 00:48:09
I didn't slag him off. I knew he wasn't good enuff and the fact that he's off to Stoke, proves my point. From Bayern to Stoke, defo a rise in the footballing world. Lol!!!

Workshy fop are there any players that you will be happy with? it seems like you would only be interested in signing massive reputation players? We only need to look at the improvement in some players since Klopp has arrived (lallana and Firminho to name just 2) and he has a reputation for turning cheaper/ younger/ Unknown players into world beaters so whoever he's interested in we should trust his judgement surely.
