Do we have the worlds hardest preseason?! Milan, City, Roma and Dortmund! Wow!
Also Can had just been pulled off in the friendly, looked to settle well from the 20 minutes I saw! Hopefully just a precaution! Shaky start though defensively.

Please don't let fabio go Liverpool! He has much to offer and I guarantee he will score important goals for us if he stays! He thrives on pressure, works so hard, and is technically a good player, I have no idea why we are letting him go! Of a player goes on loan to a team in a relegation fight, scores over 10 goals, including one by beating kompany in a cup final, why doesn't he deserve a chance?! What more can he do!

I know the eds have said they know of no interest in Remy, however, I would prefer him over bony. Nothing against bony, their records are comparable, but Remy adds an option as playing as a wide forward too! Not sure what the wage comparisons are but, it seems to be suggested that remys fee would be less too.
Another Frenchman might help sahko develop too, although I'm not sure what remys attitude is like.
Any thoughts?

I wish people would stop asking about right backs, in my opinion we have the best English one anyway, in Flanagan. he's young, passionate, hard in the tackle and isn't a donkey on the ball. Yes he does need to improve in that region, but his first job is defending, and he excels at that! He's not the quickest but is strong on the ball, and for a young guy with limited experience, doesn't get fooled often! I pray he starts over Johnson next season. Johnson was good for us, excellent attacking on his day, I will never forget his goal against Chelsea in the dying minutes, but its time for young john to step into his place now!

Am I the only one hoping we sell quite a few players over the coming weeks! I'm not saying cheaply, but I think if we trimmed the squad a bit it would help, use the youth as cover rather than players who aren't going to improve more. I know we need to strengthen our depths but we have, and we have a young squad who will hopefully improve. I just hope, we don't buy a centre back for example, then end up having skrtel agger toure sahko and ilori loaned out as we couldn't agree a fee for skrtel/agger. Yes they have been great servants to the club, agger especially, I like a lot, but they are on big wages, and they are only going to depreciate from now. I know aspas is loaned out, he never quite cut the mustard, although I liked the guy, was always the first one to jump out of his seat when we scored, and it's looking like assaidi will go.
I've seen rumours linking Reina, agger, toure, skrtel, Lucas, Johnson, and Borini to leave. Obviosuly we would need to keep one of the three centre backs presuming ilori stays, and I hope Lucas and Borini stays, they both have a lot to offer in my opinion, I'm expecting some important goals from him this season, I really think he's got it in him! He scored in the cup final and in relegation fight, so can deal with pressure, maybe he thrives on it.
However, the others, I don't think have a place in the squad as such, and hopefully we can recoup a little money from them. I don't think rodgers will play them as much and in my opinion it can have negative influences on the team. Especially in the cases or agger/skrtel, I would rather see them playing for another team than sitting on out bench week in week out when we have youth player, ie ilori, who could do the same.
