in CM/ DM Milner staying or leaving Lallana is leaving Can is leaving Grujic loan or leaving Chirivella stays as cover then we have:
-Keita, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Chirivella and Milner if stay.
Its seems we are going to change formation next season:
FW*Firmino/ Solanke
LW*Salah/ (Dembele) or H. Wilson.
AM* (Fekir) /
RW*Mane/ Woodburn or Brewster.

Excellent purchase. Suddenly our midfield options are multiplied. If Fabinho plays, Hendo can play further up (or sit on the bench) . Keita will come in to the box to box role with Wijnaldum (and Milner if he stays) as back up. And if Fekir joins then there's Ox as his backup. And there are the loanees coming back, one of whom may make it, you never know. The permutations and combinations possible are so unlike what we're used to in that midfield. I've purposely left Lallana out. I wrote before the final that it was going to be his chance to be a hero or a zero. He came out the latter.

£40 million for fabinho is a great start to the window. Add keita to that and come juily 1st we already have two great signings.
Its a very important window coming up that was already made harder by the world cup.
But fabinho and keita are two potential monsters coming into our side.
The swiftness of the deal is very impressive.
Could be an interesting few weeks ahead.

For those that haven’t seen him play, he made the most tackles, the most passes and won the most headers in the French league last year (apparently) . This is the way to start a a transfer window.

Keita and Fabinho for Can and Ox as we don't know when he is back to full fitness. Also to cover for Milner as he cannot play every game. And as we were so lightweight in midfield with injuries, it is a welcome addition. He is a very good DM and we have not had one since Lucas left. To protect the back r and also to give Henderson a rest as he cannot play every game. Bench looking strong now.

Good morning everyone, big night tonight I really hope the defensive side of our game holds out tonight, get the win and we might just see a flurry of activity this transfer window. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed.

I hope we play the way we are deadly at playing and that is high press offensive football. Defending or defensive style is not our cup of tea and this would backfire. Score an early goal and make it impossible for them to chase. We can't defend, so what's the point in setting up for it?

I never said to set up defensive, I said I hope that side of our game holds out. Everyone knows how we play going forward. Hoffenheim are no slouches and are more than capable of taking our defence to the cleaners. Have a great day :)

I don't mind an offensive game but don't want to see a high press with this team. Last time they simply either played it around our forwards/ midfield via the wingbacks, or else pushed an extra body forward, double teamed one of our fullbacks and then banged it straight over Hendo and co.

To be fair we set up to counter and let hoffenheim have possession and I think it was the right decision for us in Germany. Seeing as they have to put two by us I could easily see us playing the same style at home perhaps with a bit more confidence in the final third.

Well that was a roller coaster wasn't it? Top 4 form if you ask me, winning ugly games when playing so badly as a unit. Fulham played the same game as they did against utd they were compact hard to break down and we were woeful in defence to make matters worse. 3 points is 3 points however we get them i'll take them and move onwards and upwards
