God damn, Southampton reporting us to the authorities over tapping up of Van Dijk. A little bit weird seeing as by all accounts it seemed like he was the desperate one and we'd heard we did it all correctly.

1.) 06 Jun 2017 12:03:58
If we hadn't agreed a fee how has Klopp been allowed to speak directly to him, as reported?
With FSG going all funny on the Salah deal we could end up with no one and a ban. Things change quick.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 14:37:50
Max FSG has not gone funny, they have simple said we will not be held to ransom for a player, its good business. Also i always thought it was that VVD was sold on Klopps vision, this could just be that Klopp has spoken with the Agent who has relayed this on?

3.) 06 Jun 2017 14:53:00
Not giving excuses but his agent came to us. We did not go to him and Saints were already approached in March about VVD so don't really know what they are playing at. I think they were just mad that there will be no bidding war hence, more money for them as every man and his dog knew he would leave. Also, reports show that VVD spoke to Conte and Pep as well but the Saints' ain't mad about that, are they? Let's see what happens before aportioniong blame to whoever.

4.) 06 Jun 2017 15:53:14
Alex a price is set by Roma, £40m, who will accept less £35m. We agree terms and then offer £29m.

We used to do this and lose out. I appreciate negotiations etc but it's hardly like we accept anything less then the price we set for players. So yeah they've gone a bit funny and the deal is on the rocks.

We quote £30m to Palace for Sakho and won't entertain a lesser bid. Yet we mess other clubs around for their players. It's embarrassing. It's almost misleading.

I really think we should try and go for Xhaka this summer, Wenger just doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of him, his quality is undoubted.

Joke! Just kidding, he's dross. But, it does seem like there is death in the air at the Emirates, I fear this might actually finally be the beginning of the end for Wenger. They look cataclysmically bad.

1.) 01 Mar 2018 20:35:36
I hope Wenger stays for as long as he wants to.

2.) 01 Mar 2018 21:10:30
I genuinely feel sorry for Arsenal fans. Out of the top teams I have a lot of time for Arsenal, Spurs and a grudging respect even for Utd. With Arsenal it’s not a case of a cataclysmic failure over a season or two leading to a struggle to reach the top again, such as with us. Their slow and steady downfall began years ago, pretty much everyone could see it and yet the same bloke is in charge. It seems unreal to me that a manager so clearly out of touch (IMO anyway) with the modern game is both allowed and persists with his current role. For me it’s a sorry sight to see what is a genuinely a great footballing club getting dragged down by a stubborn manager and made to look silly by a team that, let face it, is only where it is because of rich owners.

{Ed001's Note - I feel sorry for City's players personally, they must be bloody freezing out there. They have been strolling around in freezing cold air all night.}

3.) 01 Mar 2018 22:16:05
Ha brilliant.

4.) 02 Mar 2018 08:37:03
dragged down by a stubborn manager
Yeah they should sack him and get Roy Hodgson in . All am saying is anyone sure its the manager's fault, considering they have a well publicised division within their own board .

The 'Power of Numbers' video that was just posted half an hour ago on the LFC YouTube channel shows Couts loads. Do you think it means he is staying? Surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to show him so much in anything if there was the possibility of him taking flight?

1.) 22 Aug 2017 12:31:31
The club have maintained he is not for sale.

Surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to exclude a player from a video that they have said isn't for sale?

2.) 22 Aug 2017 12:46:20
But the club have also given Barcelona a figure they would accept. Believe what you will.

3.) 22 Aug 2017 13:01:01
Mushroom, No Ed on here has ever mentioned that we have quoted them a fee this summer and throughout this saga. Please, share where you got that info cos we have refused to meet with them nor take their calls so again, can you provide the source of your info, pls?

4.) 22 Aug 2017 13:16:16
BR we did quote PSG a fee though, luckily we scrapped that.

5.) 22 Aug 2017 13:48:00
We have quoted Barcelona a fee twice. Firstly it was 100m euros, which we scrapped. Now it stands at 150m euros.
I don't need to supply my source of info. What you could do is RTP.

6.) 22 Aug 2017 14:09:51
If we quoted PSG a fee, anyone know if why they didn't bid? Lower priority? It's not that they're short of a few quid.

7.) 22 Aug 2017 19:32:34
I know we quoted PSG a fee, but not Barca.

8.) 22 Aug 2017 20:16:31
Any idea why they failed to bid?

9.) 23 Aug 2017 06:40:37
Iirc PSG didn’t think he was worth the 100mil we quoted them and they had/ have loads of other targets to somehow splash 400mil on lol.

10.) 23 Aug 2017 13:06:07
Smells of b. s. to me! If Neymar is worth 200m, Philly is definitely worth half of that at least so it's either b. s. or a priority thing.

15 Aug 2017 20:24:01
Any ideas for a TAA chant?!

1.) 15 Aug 2017 20:38:27
Looks like we've found a new free kick expert.
Great goal TAA 👍🏼.

2.) 15 Aug 2017 20:44:11
"I taste just like ice cream
B*tch I am so icy
Heart cold like an ice queen
That's why they don't like me
Lackin', that's unlikely
I'm ridin' with pipes and
Smokin' on some good gas
Girl just come and try this
Catch me in the club b*tch
See me poppin' bottles
He saw me on IG, thought I was a model
Your girlfriend, she swallow
I'm loadin' these hollows
She like takin' footballs
Call that b*tch Hey Arnold"

Hey Arnold by Rico Nasty 😂.

3.) 15 Aug 2017 20:55:41
Why do you even know the lyrics to a Rico Nasty song, MK? Diva at heart, I see.

4.) 15 Aug 2017 21:13:21
I've always wanted there to be a TAA song based on Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk, it would probably be the least catchy chant ever though haha.

2nd goal Vs Spurs? Should've been the goal to win the game, messi-esque. Bloody Lamela robbed Salah of a moment we would've remembered for years.

Kman, the point I was making wasn't about whether Navas was better than Karius (not sure we can judge Karius properly still), it was that I think it would be silly to bring Navas in to be our number 1. He may be better than Karius but I think we should aim for someone better if we are replacing Karius. It seems unlikely that we are going to replace Karius, therefore it seems silly to bring in Navas. He is not good enough to fairly depose Karius and perhaps too good to sit on the bench.

Maybe we're going to drive a dump truck full of money up to his house? He's not made of stone.

Maybe I'm being a bit stoopid, but the only good outcome I can see from us signing Navas is that he comes in and is our definitive second choice. I don't think he is good enough to warrant taking the No. 1 jersey and it would be (to quote Ed002) a kick in the teeth to Karius. Surely Klopp wouldn't again opt to have different Champions League and Premier League goalies?

Therefore, can you see Navas coming in and accepting his spot on the bench? If he does then I think it's a good move, but it seems unlikely to me.

Since when has playing well been defined as being successful? Don't be a moron Scholes. I assure you most educated neutrals would far rather tune into an LFC match than a United match at the moment, we score more than you and the goals are qualitatively better.
