Just seen reports Liverpool had a bid for higuian excepted? Surely that's a joke that's a couple of months too late?

Johnnyd

1.) 31 May 2016 23:52:15
Twitter mate? Just seen the same thing on there and probly a load of bull!

2.) 01 Jun 2016 00:01:04
Can't see that being true.

3.) 01 Jun 2016 00:40:30
I'm not going to, but I'd bet me left bollock it's not happening and I'm still a virgin.

4.) 01 Jun 2016 01:35:53
Unless we have an extra striker outgoing (on top of Benteke leaving) why would we be going after more strikers? We have Ings, Sturridge and Origi as well as Firmino who can play there. I have faith (and hope) that Klopp will not do a Rodgers and will instead look to reinforce where we really need it, subject to important player outgoings.

Clearly it's a LB, the GK we've taken care of and as the Eds ave said - a pacey wide player.

5.) 01 Jun 2016 07:48:07
Liverpool f c needs to clear out the likes of Benteke, Ings, Balotelli, and Luis Alberto. Higuan is an experienced striker, we should bid for him as there is no yet offer from liverpool for the striker. But, what we really need is a player that have almost. the same quality with Luis Suarez or Fernando Torres (2007 Fitness and form) .

6.) 01 Jun 2016 07:53:48
We have been linked with Higuain for every summer for the last 7 or so years.

He'd be too expensive and despite his talents, he's not a priority for the squad.

It is not going to happen!

7.) 01 Jun 2016 09:21:07
Er, Baldheadedstooge, why on EARTH do we need to clear out Ings?!?!? he was one of the few bright sparks before injury, and his style of play and versatility is perfect for Klopp's system! The lad's had a handful of games for Liverpool (6!) and is 23.

8.) 01 Jun 2016 10:29:44
Clear out Benteke and perhaps sturridge if a big offer like 40mil comes along. Then we can think of Higuain.

9.) 01 Jun 2016 12:44:23
Ings is a promising player. a season long loan could really help his shape.

10.) 01 Jun 2016 14:32:56
I would not be shocked to see Sturridge leave. if that happens, then I can see higuain being a possibility. Personally I think that would be a huge mistake by Klopp.

11.) 01 Jun 2016 22:28:34
Ings doesn't need a season long loan. he has premiership experience already and once back fully fit will no doubt prove his worth to the team. He was quality for burnley and for us early in season before his unfortunate injury.

02 May 2016 15:01:10
Rumors of Danny ward to join huddersfield on loan next season which would surely mean we have a keeper lined up to come in? Timo horn has been the name mostly banded around.

Johnnyd

1.) 02 May 2016 15:22:45
Timo Horn is a good young keeper. Would be happy if we brought him in.

2.) 02 May 2016 18:03:16
It an experienced keeper we need, who can play well consistently without the needless mistakes that Migs makes!

3.) 02 May 2016 18:03:16
It an experienced keeper we need, who can play well consistently without the needless mistakes that Migs makes!

4.) 02 May 2016 18:24:36
Timo Horn has plenty of experience for his age.

5.) 02 May 2016 18:26:56
In fact Horn has played 130 games at the age of 22. That's a lot of experience. I'd rather Horn than the likes of Begovic, Mandanda or Sirigu who are all pretty poor.

6.) 02 May 2016 20:41:18
Mandanda is actually a pretty decent keeper especially if he's available on a free. Far superior to mignolet that's for sure.

7.) 02 May 2016 22:46:19
Mandanda is terrible on crosses. I mean awful, like as bad as Barthez.

8.) 03 May 2016 09:04:52
If that's true, I would suggest it will be a no1 keeper to come in this summer, with the following season Migs leaving and ward returning from loan as competition for the new no1 keeper.

9.) 03 May 2016 23:49:30
Mandanda is average, and you can bet your arse he won't be a "free" signing. Milner was a free signing and he will have cost Liverpool quite a bit in signing on free, wages (highest at club) etc.

10.) 06 May 2016 09:06:52
If we bring in anyone to replace migs, i would like jack butland. Great young keeper, will replace heart eventually, and i think if he played for a top team he would improve a lot faster. Bot going to happen, bit that's what i would personaly like👍🏻.

04 Apr 2016 11:51:45
At the game Sunday and heard from a taxi driver whos inlaw works as a solicitor for the club. That an offer was made for the club from dubai n rejected but a second offer for 660 million is been reviewed by the club board. it's from the brother of the sheikh who owns city apparently. Cud be nonsense but just passing it on.

Johnnyd

1.) 04 Apr 2016 12:29:35
Game was saturday mate?

2.) 04 Apr 2016 13:20:45
Love these rumours! Don't see many of them anymore though unfortunately.

3.) 04 Apr 2016 14:14:56
did he say once you pass go you collect £200 as well?

4.) 04 Apr 2016 17:27:22
I'm not refuting what you've heard Johnny. Maybe it's Khalifa Bin Zayed that is looking to buy us who is the half brother of the Man City owner. If that's the case we could buy Suarez, Neymar and Messi and still have change left over to buy Ronaldo. I hope its not the case tho because these people have blood on their hands regarding the human rights violations against migrant workers occurring in their kingdoms and principalities. I for one was over the moon when DIC failed in its attempt to buy us. If you could see first hand how these migrant workers live and what working conditions they are subjected to you would change your mind about Arab owners. They are basically slaves, their passports are withheld, they have one day off a week if they are lucky, sometimes go years without seeing their families, they work in sweltering heat and the accommodation is like a POW camp. Humanity should always come before anything even if it is our beloved LFC.

5.) 04 Apr 2016 18:39:53
And yet if he did takeover and buy Messi, Neymar and Suarez for Liverpool, 99% of fans wouldn't care who had suffered at their hands as long as we got some trophies and bragging rights over the Mancs.

6.) 04 Apr 2016 19:48:10
And 2 people hit the disagree button for me stating that the game was on Saturday? What a time To be alive lol.

7.) 04 Apr 2016 20:19:59
Lfc forever. makes u laugh doesn't it! Who votes we get rid of agree and disagree buttons? What is the point of them eds?

8.) 04 Apr 2016 20:50:51
topboy I disagree with you mate lol. No seriously I udder stand why it's there but people hit it when it makes no sense. I suppose at least it shows people are reading the site and posts.

07 Jul 2015 22:56:46
Sterling has asked to be left out of pressure season tour. we are nearing end game I suspect.

Johnnyd

1.) 08 Jul 2015 06:39:41
Don't players put in a transfer request if they want to leave a club? Surely this proves money is a huge factor as he would stand to lose his share of the transfer fee? Or is he just spineless.

2.) 08 Jul 2015 06:59:54
The kid is a disgrace. I hope he rots at City. This sums up everything that is wrong with the modern game.

3.) 08 Jul 2015 08:02:03
I know we would lose a VAST amount of money and lord i wish we could afford to do it, but i would BANISH him to the reserves for the remainder of his contract on his £35 000 a week and let the petulant little twerp ROT!!!

I hope he never makes it OFF the bench when he eventually signs for city!!!

If swear words were allowed i could have put this statement a considerable amount stronger!!!

4.) 08 Jul 2015 08:12:09
Pre season of course. damn auto correct.

5.) 08 Jul 2015 09:42:09
He needs to be fined at least a month's wages for refusing to go on tour. People don't tell there employers they are not doing something or you tend to be out of a job. I think if he is that desperate to leave he needs to put in his transfer request and he can go for 45million then. Only word for him is WEASEL.

Boaz

6.) 08 Jul 2015 10:16:07
Fully believe ibe is a better prospect and a more grounded individual which is hugely important in fulfilling potential. please God let us except 45 million and draw a line under this nightmare. and I don't think we need to invest money on pedro on another winger. we already have ibe lallanna coutino firmino n markovic who can play his wide left position. any more made should be used for an out an out number 9 goal scorer. Any thoughts eds??

7.) 08 Jul 2015 11:27:09
The lad has shown nothing but disrespect.

The sooner he leaves, the better.

8.) 08 Jul 2015 12:03:55
Sorry, have I missed something, all this is rumour, nothing official from the club or the player, not saying he hasn't said it, just saying purely speculation and rumour to date.

9.) 08 Jul 2015 19:44:28
Yes John u clearly have missed something. have u been in an underground bunker all day?! The rat has indeed refused to go on tour. I actually hate him. I think he will be one of the most hated players to ever return to anfield. Disgraceful

24 Jun 2015 21:09:52
Hi eds great as always. 👍anything in the volland rumours? I'd love our next signing to be bacca. who would any of the eds like??

Johnnyd

{Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about the Volland stories at all. I would like Bacca myself, I like what I have seen of him.}

1.) 25 Jun 2015 08:55:46
Didn't Aspas just score a ridiculous number of goals for Sevilla as well Ed001. let's hope Bacca isn't cut from the same cloth that already proved a failure at LFC, I'm still to be convinced but that's usually a good sign and the person when signed goes on to do well, lol

2.) 25 Jun 2015 16:07:19
Aspas scored 2 goals. Hardly a ridiculous number of goals at Sevilla. If you mean at Celta, he got 12 goals I think. Nothing compared to Bacca's 27 goals last season.

Seems very easy to say who we shouldn't be signing but not as easy to say who we should be signing in my view. seems to me we have to take chance with young potential players or ones with questionable attitudes. Sturridge, coutino, suarez. but we also should be giving a few of the academy players, senior football minutes this season. Because at least 2 if not more look more than capable of making the grade. again just my opinion.

Johnnyd

1.) 19 Jul 2016 21:50:01
There is taking a risk and there is wasting money.

04 Jul 2016 22:23:42
Lads I challenge any of ye to watch our new signing mane against bayner Munich a few years back and not get excited. He is a serious talent. I'm delighted with his transfer. I think pep even said he was impressed by him after this game.

Johnnyd

1.) 04 Jul 2016 23:10:42
I agree. I saw the highlights when Mane was at Salzburg and he was awesome! I think that he will be the signing of the season in the EPL this season. He has the talent question will be whether he was the will and discipline to become world class.

2.) 05 Jul 2016 07:19:38
Have watched Mane the last two years and his talent and ability is top notch. If he can sort out his attitude, look out.

3.) 05 Jul 2016 07:31:42
Mane is a talented player. Hopefully he works hard in training and within Klopp's system. If he does, it will be a good bit of business.

4.) 05 Jul 2016 10:09:21
I don't see him ripping up the league, but he'll score goals which is what we need.

5.) 05 Jul 2016 10:28:50
He is far from Balo, so I don't see his attitude being a problem. Klop is a good manager and would manage his ego/ attitude just ask Stu. The only person's attitude I am worried about is Balo, if he is still on the books. But just imagine if Klop sorts out Balo and gets him firing, he would play the role Benteke should, especially if Mane and another winger say Ojo are playing in telepathic cross (like the one Ojo layer up for Stu) . Wow I am getting excited again.

He, or any winger would offer something Lallana wouldn't which will bring / change the dynamism of our attack. I am not convinced by the price though.

24 Jun 2016 17:03:08
Don't be surprised to see Jonas hector as our starting left back next season. 👍.

Johnnyd

1.) 24 Jun 2016 17:27:25
This your own opinion?

2.) 24 Jun 2016 18:35:16
Please Johnnyd, do explane? As for now I would be very surprised to see him start, except in my dreams!

3.) 24 Jun 2016 19:39:11
Johnny has got it off Twitter and I know by who .

16 Jun 2016 08:48:00
Tah mate. nice one 👍.

Johnnyd

26 Apr 2016 21:06:07
Just a question to all eds and readers. who would ye look to realistically speaking bring in as a new keeper this summer?

Johnnyd

1.) 26 Apr 2016 21:26:11
Begovic or ter stegan.

2.) 26 Apr 2016 21:43:44
Sorry but Begovic has said before that he had absolutely no interest in playing for us, so I wouldn't bother again, plus he was happy to go and sit on the Chelsea bench at the age of 28. Big no as far as I'm concerned, he has made his career choice and should be left with it. Let him pick up splinters on the Chelsea bench. There are far better keepers around at the stupid money that Chelsea will want. Leno, Horn and Ter Stegen all good examples.

3.) 26 Apr 2016 21:45:04
Ter Stegen would be first choice.

4.) 26 Apr 2016 22:11:58
Horn for me, then Ter Stegan.

5.) 26 Apr 2016 22:11:58
Horn for me, then Ter Stegan.

6.) 26 Apr 2016 22:45:11
Hey Mr Dennis maybe bergovic has a change of heart and would want to sign for us given the opportunity. Nothing is set in stone in football. Luis Figo and Sol Cambell being prime examples.

7.) 26 Apr 2016 23:06:29
There is one main reason Ter Stegen doesn't play for Barcelona first eleven; he ain't considered good enough for doing so by their managerial team. I would stay well clear of him and save a load of millions. There plenty of good keepers out there for less. It is a question of good scouting, not just going german for the sake of Kloop. And even if we decide to go german Horn and a few others should be considered ahead of Ter Stegen.

8.) 27 Apr 2016 06:41:08
EASILY my first choice out of those mentioned would be RON Robert Zieler. I admit the majority of footage I've seen is YouTube.
Zieler for me is light years ahead of the others. 1) His distribution is fast and usually good, he's capable at passing, hoofing and throwing. 2) His positioning is very good. 3) His reading of the game is TOP CLASS. 4) he is LIGHTENING quick off his line. 5) he bullys his defenders 6) he is not afraid to throw his body into the firing line and 7) he is the obligatory good shot stopper. 8) he's got a great name 😎

All the other keepers mentioned that I've watched have deficiencies when viewed as suitable for the premier league. Most want to sit back on their line like Migs and most seem a bit too timid for the premier league. Your keeper needs to be a big-mouthed, arrogant lunatic 😄.

{Ed001's Note - also Zieler should have no trouble adapting to the UK as he used to live here.}

9.) 27 Apr 2016 07:40:18
Personally would look at horn maybe sirgu although I haven't seen him play in ages, would stay away from ter stegen though, maybe he just hasn't settled well at Barcelona but he has been consistently mediocre for them when playing.

10.) 27 Apr 2016 08:19:37
Would much rather have Karius than Horn from what I have seen of them.

11.) 27 Apr 2016 14:17:59
Horn, Karius or Zeiler would do fine with me. But Bernd Leno of Bayer Leverkusen is a beast but we may not get him.

12.) 27 Apr 2016 17:06:53
the fact that zieler has played in England before has to be a advantage, also Germany has a abundance of quality goalkeepers so they must be doing something right, I wouldn't say no to any of them but I feel we should also be looking for a top quality goalkeeping coach as the current one is not fit for purpose.

Don't get all this cool calmness about the possibility of studge leaving. yes I fully understand he is having a terrible rub of injuries. But for God sake the lad is still young and overcome this, and is one of the best strikers in the prem league. He really does get the love from our supporters I feel. just my opinion.

Surely just a matter of time so until the club's agree a common ground on the fee and this one goes through ed??. think the club and raheems agent have absolutely handled this shockingly. the kid is a super footballer and we are definitely missing a trick on this one in my opinion.

Johnnyd

{Ed001's Note - considering how little interest there is in him from elsewhere, it would be a surprise if a deal was not agreed in time.}

I do agree we are not in the same universe as city Chelsea or utd in transfer budget. so we have to box clever. With a small portion of hope in each transfer. aka not the finished article. But if any manager in the world has form on this it's klopp. I for one love the man. I think he just makes me want to run through a brick wall for him from his public interviews. so I can only imagine the motivation from inside the camp. We are in for a roller-coaster next season and I cannot wait. ynwa.
