People still saying how an out and out striker would massively improve us. But IMO you can a 20-30 goal striker up too for us but I still don't think it would necercerily help us break down the bottom half teams that we have struggles with for the last few seasons.

For me I think 2 full backs would do a great deal to improve that. By having a full back each side that can get forward and keep up with play and put a decent or first time delivery into the forwards and not keep having to cut in all the time or constantly slowing our attack down that will IMO add more goals to our game than bringing in another striker.

Part of problem is the way we play in these games, it's slow, a lot of passing round midfield, players dropping short, and not making another run - maybe a twenty goal a season man might make a difference - but for me it's more. We need to be taking those chances to run at a player, play that risky through ball. Sometimes I think full backs get forward too much, and should just sit, allowing space for the wingers to isolate their man and beat them, only make that overlapping run if needed or there is a great opportunity.

I keep seeing chilwells name pooping up recently. Is this people with reliable info or are people just guessing at that because they don't think that we will fork out the money for mendy and he was a primary target last year?

They are running out of names I guess. We moved on from the player last summer.

2.) 20 Jun 2017 14:59:53
If his name is popping up, where on earth are you looking?!? 💩.

You wanna see a doctor about that jack, sounds like you have the alphabet runs.

Say we are handed a ban. Can the FA out the ban on hold and demand we make changes to our staff that deal with transfers if certain people are found more guilty than others or is it just the clubs responsibitly for the the hiring and firing?

The FA cannot sack an LFC employee that much is certain.

They can (i believe) prosecute them though and ban them from football activities, which would make their position at the club untenable and probably give the club rights to tear up contracts without any settlements. I'm no Football law expert though, so this is purely guesswork.

I really doubt it will come to that. At worst I think we'll get a 12 month suspended ban. Then if we do this again I think we'll get another 12 month ban on top of that and have to serve both sentences in succession. Again though, this is pure speculation on my behalf.

Hopefully it all blows over.

We have a few surprise targets so far this window already

Is the any chance/ interest in signing veratti from psg? he wants to leave and seems like he could be a good fit into our midfield if Kieta is no longer an option.

Jackored

{Ed001's Note - no.}

1.) 13 Jun 2017 12:37:36
£70m for Van Dijk, £100m for Mbappe, £88m for Veratti, £60m for Lacazette, £40m for Salah, £50m for Mendy and £30m for Pereira.

Job done, all at a net spend of £0 when we sell Sakho, Moreno and Lucas for £100m each. Right Eds?

2.) 13 Jun 2017 16:29:29
We will win everything in our path next season!

Do we still hold any interest in fosberg?
I read that Milan have bid €18m but they are holding out for 30.
Would be a decent deal for the top assist in Germany last year and plays lw.

{Ed002's Note - The interest of Liverpool dates from an attempt by Brendan Rodgers to purchase the player from Sundsvall when he first arrived at the club - but he opted for Assaidi instead.}

Fair enough m, what a great signing he turned out to Be.

Cheers ed.

Forsberg is a quality player. Quick, skilful, hardworking and can take a dead ball. He won't be Joining is mind you.

Young red- vvd only played in the first leg and We were shocking all over the pitch that game.

Vvd is good on his day but looks much better in the saints defence than he would in ours. He gets caught out of position far too often and that would only get highlighted more if he played for us when we have our high back line.

Also agree with mk. So many people were asking where does Gini fit it in and say how he is nowhere near good enough. Last season he was almost ever present and was a key player for us. The I'd could do the same.

Hopefully ings will get a shot to prove some fitness in pre season. I think he is perfect for our system. He's been injured for a long time but he seems like an honest lad from what I've heard about him and he could be very good. I'd like to see him stay and push studge for his place.

I'd let origi go on loan but only if he can get regular game time. For me he had a lot still to prove. He's a young lad with bags of potential and then seems to have a good run of games and then a bad run of games. maybe a season of regular games would give him a chance to prove he is good enough and build his confidence.

10 games is nowhere near enough. You also have to consider he was a young keeper in his debut season coming coming back from a broken hand. Migs was still poor when he first got his place back. It wasn't until the the end of the season when the gk staff changed the routine of training that migs showed improvements. We haven't seen what effect that has had on karius yet. Basically give the young lad a fair chance.

From what I've read. There has been interest from quite a few clubs including us but the price and wage demands are proving a stumbling block for most.

Wasn't that part of klopps success at Dortmund in spotting talent that others didn't?

Swish, we don't seem slow against the top 6 as they attack us more than other teams leaving space. Against the others we are slow in transition and don't move the ball quick enough which is the reason why they manage to get everyone back behind the ball,

You don't necessarily need fast players to move the ball at pace but it certainly helps with pressing quickly up the pitch.

The reason why we struggled against lesser teams was the midfield gets too cramped and we don't have full backs that we can use properly. Instead of them getting the ball moving quickly they either slow the play down or cut in allowing the opponents to get all their players back into position so we can't break them down. 2 competent full back would solve that problem to a great extent. And studge is looking to be much fitter who could be a 20 goal striker. So we don't need another.

If VVD hands in a transfers request or states he wants to leave then it's best for both party's that we come to a deal that's suits saints and us. I'm not saying we should be held to randsom but it's our fault that this situation has come about so we should sort it and move on.
