Reports saying we illegally approached VVD? Not this again!

Eds, every time I see Ojo, I am really impressed with him. Besides the few minutes he played against Southampton, I can only think of Exeter where he got a decent opportunity.

At the end of some games I always feel like the chance for him to come in and spread the game is there. But we always end up bringing on Benteke/ Origi/ Allen.

Is the lack of playing time just the club being rightly cautious over his development? Wondering if you might have any insight into what the youth coaches think of him as well.

thanks a lot,
Hwb.

{Ed001's Note - partially and partially because we needed players to control games, which is not something Ojo can do.}

The lad should be starting ahead of Lallana. I can't figure out Y we cancelled each and every youngsters loan deals. What's happening with Kent?

2.) 23 Mar 2016 18:01:49
Cancel them hopefully to change the structure of the hole set up.

Harry you seem to keep wanting to sub in half the u21s every week lol. I'd love to see Ojo get his shot as a flying wide forward, but to start in front of Llalana is a bit much. Stick him on when that's what we need to stretch the game.

I am really excited that Sturridge, Origi and Coutinho are back.
I thought Sturridge looked extremely bright coming back from all theinjuries and niggles he's had to get over - it would have been easy for a lad to be nervous coming back from such a long break but I thought he had a good run out (even if it was for a bit longer than expected) and he showed some really good composure and exciting moments.

Origi maybe was a bit more peripheral (probably due to the fact he was playing out on the left and never really found a chance to cut in due to Benteke / Sturridge constantly floating in those areas) in that game but he was unlucky to get injured when he did - he was just starting to look really bright and hopefully he can get right back track.

Coutinho is great creatively and part me of is hoping that the break he's had due to the injury might help refresh him a little because his performances were a bit up and down recently - he could really benefit from that step back from competitive play even with it being a brief spell.

I am looking forward to the next few games with these options available and think we can start putting together a positive run of games.

I haven't really mentioned the youth players coming on as they have been covered quite a lot in previous posts.

I just can't wait to see Studge, Coutinho and Firmino on the same pitch. Firmino is starting to look really good. Will be good to see a team which doesn't rely on one player to come up with the creativity.

2.) 11 Feb 2016 18:17:50
I think it was typical of Origi. He was similar earlier in the year when we all wondered what the hype was. After a run of games he will then get back into his stride and pick right back up.

Wow, so owners have scrapped the new ticket prices for now. Genuinely surprised they went back on this. might find themselves under increased pressure when they next propose a change that's against the general fans wish. Ballsy. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

They have frozen for 2 years. After which they will sell the club in all likelihood. You know I only want what's best for the club and hope this is the right decision.

Next should be a walk out unless we sign Messi? Who is in?

2.) 10 Feb 2016 19:37:18
Going to be good for the fans having a bigger stadium and having ticket prices frozen for two seasons while the loan made by FSG to LFC for the stadium expansion was interest free.

LFC nothing but a bottomless pit for FSG. I am sure they will be happy to be rid of LFC when they eventually do decide to sell the club.

Grass not always greener on the other side as they say.

The ED`s already said they were revisiting the issue amid the outcry.

4.) 10 Feb 2016 20:52:24
The irony for me is that by removing the Cat A/ B/ C pricing, they've actually made many tickets more expensive compared to the previous plan that was disliked. Pretty sure the revenue shift isn't much, if any, different from one plan to the other, but I need an accurate seat count per new tier to verify.

Supposedly Liverpool improved on their original bid of £24.5mill and upped it to £28mill - but this has been as quickly brushed aside as the first.

It will take a bid of £35m minimum to even get their attention, and even then, the owner might just increase his valuation of the player.
Ayre and the owners need to decide if they are going to pay £35m, make the offer, or simply move on to another target, or keep the cash for the summer.
Lacazette in the summer would be my chooice.

2.) 26 Jan 2016 13:16:47
Shugh, Lacazette has been severely average this season and most of his goals (nowhere near last term`s total) have been penalties. Even 10 of his many goals last season were penalties and didn`t score a goal vs the top 7 clubs in france. That`s FOURTEEN games without a goal. That shows he's not a big game player and goes missing in games where he`s needed. Trust me, I watch the French league a lot and have watched him since his teens, the guy isn`t what we need and is vastly overrated. Don`t know the striker available that I would want but DEFO not Lacazette.

For me, I would let him go for the right offer. I love him and he's shown the world he has some incredible ability occasionally. And that's the thing - He has the odd flash for us but he does seem to disappear in games - more noticeably when we aren't dominating the possession. I think he struggles to get a hold of the game when he has to press for the team. It takes the edge off his sudden burst / turn of pace when he does get a hold of the ball in the attacking half (you see him more and more make an errand pass or get shoved off the ball when this is the case. ) If he stays, he's young and he can adapt because he sure has the ability.

Salah - the 2005 final is so vivid in my memory (I was also 11 at the time when watching it) . I'm 24 now and think i'm even more excited about this one!

He mis-hit a lot tonight. Was definitely an off game. Even the passes he made were hit too hard slightly inaccurately or behind the man killing momentum.

He will get back on it soon enough.

Have to agree with TjRed, thought it was always going to be tough for him in such a high-pressure environment but he did get run around a lot by Martial. Think he will regret giving Rooney so much respect for the cross that ended in Ibra's goal. You do learn from these moments though and he is young.

Honestly thought Everton were never 'on top' - you had good moments of pressure in the first half with some nice intensity but time and time again they failed to to anything with the ball, especially with Lukaku having such great success in holding up the ball and winning nearly every aerial duel, nothing came of it because of lack of support.

{Ed025's Note - i agree with that hwb, lots of endeavour from us but a lack of quality where it mattered mate..
