We didn't sign him because he wasn't at Southampton, and couldn't take him to Blackpool tower, fancy missing out on the future Buffon, maybe we should sign another striker to get over it.

I can't understand this obsession with constantly wasting massive amounts of money, I've said it before we should keep Sakho and develop Gomez, but no we'll keep making the same mistakes.

Our alternative should be Sakho as he's quality and can play at left back, Klopp should back down after this idiocy.

I remember watching him scoring two own goals in one match against Man Utd and being utterly convinced he should have been moved on early on in his career! Time as always made a fool of me, and was made up to see the player he became.

The same kind of arrogance that has led to bad blood between Liverpool and a few other clubs over tapping up I would imagine. The financial bubble football is in also means that clubs loose perspective on actual value of assets like players, summed up with balls out stupidity.

All teams are judged by what they win, Rafa nailed it in his early to mid terms, Klopp has had a bigger job rebuilding overall IMO so maybe a bit early to make a complete judgement, and why doesn't Hamman get a shout, personally I thought he was excellent.

I suppose I'm an idealist who's out of touch with modern football, for me it was about players, fans and managers all pulling in the same direction, now money and merchandising are separating the clubs and fracturing the identities, its definitely not the same as it was at anfield and in my eyes that is more important to results than Van Dijk or Keita will be.

I think MK is pointing out that the fans who actually go to matches and provide the atmosphere are being priced out of the game, these are the true core of a club. When the football manager generation start calling for £70 mill transfers they fundamentally misunderstand the full nature of football and the consequences of a club when it loses touch with its grass roots.
