Question for Ed001.
What are your thoughts on Tom Ince? He never got to show much for us, but he's seemingly having a big impact with Derby and putting 'one time future legend' Will Hughes in the shade.
I know his dad is his agent but I'm led to believe Andy Ward might be sniffing around trying to represent him and get him a move. Do you think he has what it takes to do the business at a higher level than where he is just now?
Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - no, he is nowhere near good enough, has a horrible attitude and he is a big part of Derby's failings imo.}

1.) 13 Apr 2017 19:45:16
Thanks number one 👍🏻.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate. I have watched him a few times and backed his plan to leave for first team football, but he has become even more arrogant than his dad since leaving. He doesn't work for the team at all, he thinks he is Cristiano Ronaldo throwing his arms up complaining if someone dares to pass to anyone but him etc. Derby would be much better off if they got rid of him.}

2.) 13 Apr 2017 19:46:57
He'll probably link up with Aidy Ward then. Seems like they are made for each other.

{Ed001's Note - true. They are a match made in heaven.}

Happy 42nd birthday Guaranga. Genuine reds legend 👍🏻.

1.) 09 Apr 2017 17:11:19
How does God even become Guaranga?
Serious predictive text error there. Sorry Robbie lad!

2.) 09 Apr 2017 17:54:39
😂 maybe an ed saw a chance of some mischief there.

The Bournemouth game is now our only remaining midweek game, so we have at least a week to prepare for almost all of our remaining fixtures. This means we should be able to name a pretty settled side, and consistently be able to play our strongest eleven. A lot of our slip ups so far have come at times where we have had fixture congestion.
I'm pretty confident the gap at the top will fluctuate a few times over the rest of the season so there's no reason not to think we can get quite a bit closer. And if we can get quite a bit closer. who knows? I'm convinced we'll be top two. But where in that two, I'm not sure.

We just have to win our games and not focus on anything else and this, starting with Hull this week. No margin for error in our situation.

I get that our attack has looked a little one dimensional without Mane, but I would suggest that the defensive frailties are down to Matip being injured/ unavailable/ not selected for the period of our troubles. His absence is at least as influential as Mane's. He martial the defence well, keeping Lovren on his game. We should be tighter at the back on Tuesday

1.) 29 Jan 2017 01:09:02
Whilst I agree that we need to be a lot tighter at the back and that matip has been a huge loss recently, I disagree that we will be capable of doing that any time soon and that matip is the reason we are so fragile and exposed at the back. I think that's a very convenient excuse, just like saying mane is the reason we can't win games at the moment, it's very naive and incorrect. It's a lot more than personnel, we have been exposed at the back numerous time even with matip in the defence, but we have been better with him included as the stats show. However before he got injured, we had the highest goals conceded out of the top 8 teams, and I think we are there or there abouts now. Mane has been a bigger loss, because we had no one in attack that provides width like he does, and when he went, which we knew was going to happen since august, we did not prepare for it at all well, and didn't even use our best option for width in ojo, to me that is more than personnel, that is poor management.

2.) 29 Jan 2017 12:52:24
I agree with you, Kman. Klopp of course knew Mane would be gone in Jan but maybe his plan was to finally give Origi and Studge the chance to shine and stake their claim as bona fide starting players, a plan I did not disagree with as you won`t find good players in Jan without breaking the bank as our chase of Alex Texeira of then Donetsk, suggested. If this was the case, can you blame Klopp for having faith in players who have produced in the past and have not stepped up now? Sometimes we can`t just blame the manager for everything. The players have to take responsibility as well. Notice after the Wolves game, Klopp said he learnt a lot about his players during that game. If I played any part in that game especially a first teamer, I`d be worried.

There have been a few posts on here lately about Milners inadequacies at LB. My question is for Ed001 and those posters who watch our academy and u23's. How has Juanma been doing since he joined? Is he regarded as a first team prospect any time soon? Thanks guys.

{Ed001's Note - I have only managed to catch a couple of games, he played well enough in them to catch my eye and ask about him. According to what I have been told, he has been excellent and is expected to be in and around the first team squad by the end of the season.}

1.) 18 Dec 2016 16:38:02
Perhaps playing Milner there has given us 12 months to have a look at him then, rather than buying a player we might not need.

2.) 18 Dec 2016 17:15:06
Thanks Ed001. I posted in the summer when it came to light that we weren't buying a new LB that perhaps Milner was a stopgap until Klopp felt Juanma was ready. Let's hope, when he gets a chance, that he grabs it with both hands and saves the club from expensive mistakes!

3.) 18 Dec 2016 23:44:44
If Klopp thinks Juanma may be ready by end of or beginning of next season, then I will trust him. He`s from Barcelona so he knows the expectations at a big club.

4.) 19 Dec 2016 07:58:06
I believe he was also captain of his age group at Barca, so you'd imagine he has a decent head on his shoulders too. Nothing wrong with adding leaders to our team.

5.) 19 Dec 2016 10:38:59
Hold on there Gmac, he's not even had a senior appearance for us let's not be calling him a leader just yet!

Randall played the first half at RB and the second at LB v Wigan. He is a right back, but perhaps that's why Wignolet related the two transfer rumours.

It makes a change for us to be linked with a player AFTER Spurs have been linked. It's become something of a pattern that we are linked with players who then join Spurs. No thanks on this one though, he's not Liverpool quality and far from an improvement on that which we already have.

Pretty sure Maldini is without a club too. Sign him up. He can cover both LB and CB 👍🏻😂.

Well, it doesn't help that Sakho is considered to have an attitude problem and his parent club want to sell him. It's not purely ability based mate.

I don't agree that we are short of suitable wing backs, Max. It's having three solid centre backs who have the positional sense to play together in a back three is where the system falls down.
