Hi eds. Apologies if dealt with already. Just wondering how important, if at all, pepjin linders as klopp's number two is. Will he have an imput on tactics and team eleven or just there as a coach? I believe we really missed a no 2 in last few games of season in terms of set up, tactics and general imput.

Gabrielpaletta1

{Ed001's Note - how will anyone know that when he hasn't started the role yet?}

1.) 20 Jun 2018 08:30:26
I meant do you think that an assistant is important in general to the manager. Do they have much imput at all in terms of set up and tactics or does this all rest with manager ( at Liverpool) . Linders was very highly regarded at the club before he left. is it a positive thing getting him back in terms of coaching and possibly even recruitment of players?

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on the assistant. Only time will tell how much impact he has.}

2.) 20 Jun 2018 08:44:51
Thanks for replying ed. Appreciate your knowledge and thoughts. Have a good one!

{Ed001's Note - sorry I can't give your more details mate, it is just we will only find out after he starts.}

World cup starting today and honestly don't care who wins. More interested in this site and all things lfc related. Just wondering if the eds are world cup fans or just club football fans? Who do we think could win it and who will be player of the tournament? Maybe it's just me, but I feel the w. c has lost its nostalgia and charm.

Gabrielpaletta1

{Ed002's Note - I will watch short game summaries only. But typically I don’t watch football matches regardless.}

1.) 14 Jun 2018 08:44:29
I'm not really fussed by it either, certainly not about England. I may watch some of the Spain, Brazil or Germany games but that's about it. I think it'll be a Spain v Brazil final. Firmino to score the winner ;) .

2.) 14 Jun 2018 08:52:28
I am really looking forward to it. I can finally watch football without my heart in my throat like it has been the last couple of months watching Liverpool. I can just enjoy the spectacle and hopefully there’s goals and entertainment. I really hope Russia can put on a great tournament.

3.) 14 Jun 2018 09:02:26
I will watch every game with childish enthusiasm. I love it. Disappointed the best fans in the world aren’t at it purely for the memes but truthfully I’ll just be happy if all the fans come home safely. It could be a brilliant tournament but you just never know with the Russians.

4.) 14 Jun 2018 09:25:51
I love football. I will watch every match I can where the quality of football is half decent. It's not Liverpool, but it's a million times better than summers of no football and endless nonsense discussions about transfers.

5.) 14 Jun 2018 09:47:33
All I can say is good wto our players, injury free.

A general seeking of eds opinion here. What kit, home and away, would you like to see current squad wearing this season? The grey and red kits with white flecks in them for me, and definitely no reebok kit. Thought they were all awful, especially the crest!

Gabrielpaletta1

{Ed001's Note - I really don't care what kit they wear to be honest.}

1.) 13 Jun 2018 16:46:39
red one. that's it.

05 May 2018 21:37:17
So eds, when are we buying simao, keiske honda and pablo aimar!
Thanks for all your hard work and patience throughout the season!

Gabrielpaletta1

1.) 05 May 2018 22:15:05
If we’re going back to the era let’s add Rasmus Elm, Simon Kjaer and Rafael Van De Vaart.

2.) 05 May 2018 22:43:24
Let's not forget Radar Tuna now.

3.) 05 May 2018 23:31:02
Forget Simao, Honda and Kjaer, when are we going to sign David Villa? I hope we're going to get his transfer over the line before the World Cup begins, you know how these tournaments can add an extra £10m to the price tag!

4.) 06 May 2018 00:42:40
Please i want David Villa, David Silva and Mata!

5.) 06 May 2018 00:43:33
Take the yanks out of the equation and we would have secured David Silva with Rafa.

6.) 06 May 2018 02:11:11
Ken Aguero please.

7.) 06 May 2018 02:46:26
Ribery anyone? I seem to remember there being a lot of rumours on here about him.

Also, who can forget "I saw Ian Ayre walking down the street today and he dropped his brief case. "

Good times back then, good times.

8.) 06 May 2018 09:05:37
Oh dear I've had a mare with autocorrect there. It should say Arda Turan😂.

9.) 06 May 2018 11:38:51
Konoplyanka.

10.) 06 May 2018 16:17:37
I though Radar Tuna sounded a bit fishy, DaRed 😉😂.

Hi eds. Lots of Moreno bashing lately and fully deserved. The lad has plenty of pace and good attitude but no positional sense, rashly dives into tackles when standing is better, exposes his cb's every game, can't cross and never seems to learn from mistakes. My question is, what do you think klopp sees in him to play him ahead of robertson. We all see Moreno as a huge accident waiting to happen but not klopp. why.

Gabrielpaletta1

{Ed025's Note - because klopp is all about attack gabriel and has not got a defensive bone in his body, nice to watch but will always be his downfall mate..

1.) 25 Aug 2017 08:44:59
Because Robertson isn't up to speed with his fitness levels for how we play, it's why he's been eased in gently.

2.) 25 Aug 2017 08:50:03
I have no issues with his " All out philosophy. " If he knows how to execute it! Manchester city aren't the messiah of total football! Another highly entertainers with expensive jackets! Have you ever brought how is Kyle Walker getting a start at City? Honestly I don't know!

3.) 25 Aug 2017 08:59:19
It's great to watch and I wouldn't want it any other way. Its Liverpool way let's keep it like that.

4.) 25 Aug 2017 09:31:38
Scares the sh*ep out of me watching our red men ;)

5.) 25 Aug 2017 09:38:15
So you wouldn't want us winning the league mighty red? Because that ain't happening with that shambles of a defence.

6.) 25 Aug 2017 10:07:18
We barely conceeded with Rafa and couldn't win the league so let's not put all the eggs in that basket.

7.) 25 Aug 2017 11:14:49
The problem is even at 3 up we look like collapsing every game at about 75 minutes. we need to learn to close a game out.
Also all out attack is great when your forwards are firing. but there will be periods they don't, and if your as brittle as we are then the whole season ends at that point. ie January collapse last year. out of 2 cups and out of title in a 6 week period.

8.) 25 Aug 2017 10:24:12
So he the german kevin keegan ed 25 yeah haha.

{Ed025's Note - only without the curly wig hailstones..

Would absolutely love courtois at lfc, but simple fact is he has his own family still living in Spain and understandably wants to go there to be with them. Never happening ever, but man in a dream scenario with him in goal, we'd win the lge.
On a side note, I'm youtubing john barnes lfc goals. what a player. My favourite of that era and priceless if he was playing today. Better than salah, cr7 imho.

Never said klopp out. Just that he's been here two years and our defense is still shocking. We leak goals and this is why we'll hover between fourth and eighth. This was game one, but no different than any game last season and a fair insight into what lies ahead.
