A couple days late, but just wanted to say thanks to Ed 02 for the reply and info regarding Lukaku. Perhaps a move abroad beckons? I can't see them wanting to do business with us or any other prem "rivals."

EMAN34

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are not a club that worry too much about dealing with "rivals". Sturridge, Mata, Gallas ..... There are efforts being made on behalf of Lukaku by his liaison guy (an ex-player) to see if the situation can be recovered.}

1.) Thanks again, I honestly hope the situation can't be resolved. Like JM said, they have a team without a striker right now, and boy what a striker Lukaku could be.

Just wanted to say thank you to Brendan Rodgers for what he has done for our club in his time here. Actually challenging for the title was one of the most exciting things I have witnessed in sport. I wish you the best in the future!

good post eman

2.) 04 Oct 2015 23:52:08
You should thank Luis.

I have difficulty thanking him for anything. He should just go quietly and that will be fine with me.

I don't post often but I have really enjoyed everyone's tale of falling for Liverpool, so I will share mine.

I'm from the states so played "soccer" growing up but it gave way to basketball as I got older because the two seasons meshed. I had seen a few MLS games on tv but they never really sparked my interest. I wasn't exposed to European football til I was 17, and my first taste was watching the champions league in 2007. I would watch whatever team was on but took a particular liking to a team in red with a striker whose hair was that of legends.

I think the next season is when I truly fell in love with football. Torres and Gerrard were my favorite players, along with crouchy (who was my first ever jersey!) and the style we played with then was mouth watering at times. Then there were the dark days if hodgson and the departure of Torres and I found myself not enjoying the football Liverpool played anymore. I found this site right around that time and started posting anonymously and have no doubt saying this site kept me a reds fan.

From the excitement with rumors in the transfer window to the relieving of anger and stress after a subpar performance I found a spot to share thoughts but educate myself on the club I loved. Few years down the road and Liverpool is what I would consider to be my only religion ha.

Thank you to all the eds for everything you do to keep this place up and running, and the contributors to this site for making it what it is today. A place to feel a part of something a world away for me!

anyone else watching this meltdown arsenal are having? This season has started wonderfully for us

EMAN34

1.) Serves them right for conniving w/ suarez to embarrass us. Him, we can move on from. But Arsenal deserved everything they got today.

2.) Lol its 1 game and arsenal basically made the same mistakes they are known to make. its nothing new. people don't prejudge our competition, keep it here, just talk about what we're doing for now.

Best part for me was how together the team looked for the goal and the penalty save. You could see it meant a lot to everyone. What a start, thrilled for the boys

Are you sure though ed? My mom was drinking Baileys the other day and I think I heard a Kings of Leon song on at the same time. The move must be on.

This is why the Eds say don't worry about the money. The two transfers are unrelated in terms of finances. We had a valuation of Chilwell at a certain price, it doesn't match their asking price. No transfer.

We can't be mad about our club not spending money, and then moan when they do on players that fans deem surplus.

If anything you can't blame the guy for wanting out of Ukraine after all that has happened recently. There are things other than money these guys think about from time to time, family for one.

EMAN34

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with that at all.}

I think it is safe to assume we missed out on our targets, and there is no one currently available that would improve us without being held to ransom.

"The Chinese need to invest at least 1 billion into the club" "I'm not interested in how the club is run. " You sir are a tool 007. Why the eds even bother with your posts I'll never know.

The Euston/ Houston mix up actually made me laugh out loud. I guess outside the states I could see this being a thing.
