Just seen Arsenal are prepared to let Mustafi go could he be the centre half we looking to sign on Tuesday.

Is he any good? Haven't seen him play honestly.

2.) 26 Aug 2017 13:35:34
He looked good at the start of last season but he has had few injuries since and not played much since then. Dint know if it would be a good move or not. That's if we are indeed looking at him.

3.) 26 Aug 2017 13:45:16
He's shockingly bad.

4.) 26 Aug 2017 14:22:38
Thought he started well first 4,5 games. But then in my opinion been very average especially for amount paid.

Ron k my last post was despairing at all the negativity on here we are fourth after a veryvtoughvstart. We can't blow teams away every game it was a good point considering the crest of the weekendcresults.

Well, it didn't take that long for the negative nellies to start throwing the baby out with the bath water. Someone must have forgotten to remind them that had we won, NOTHING would have been decided yet and we still would have won nothing yet. We are fourth, three points and three goals ahead of Utd and three off City after playing a tough schedule. We are still in the race and nothing has changed as the other teams including Utd for that matter, screwed up. On to West Brom this weekend, a team we have had consistent issues with and just as tough an opponent as Utd.

2.) 18 Oct 2016 04:27:49
I think the term 'negativity' is over-used on here. There are plenty of things to be critical about in that performance but ultimately a draw was probably fair. Its not negative to point out areas we could have improved on to get a win.
I thought both defences were pretty sound which is why there wasnt much goalmouth action. Utds nine-man defence restricted us well and De Geas fingertips were the only real reason we didn't turn 65% possession into a win.
At the other end, i still haven't seen anything to suggest Karius is an improvement on Migs (calm down, that's not a bash) but the fact that he has rarely been able to show his keeping ability in recent games suggests to me that our defence have improved hugely in restricting other teams' chances.
Average game, fair result, room for improvement.

3.) 18 Oct 2016 06:52:32
Not sure how could you say everyone who has a point Negative? UTD came for a point and successfully went back with a point. How on earth could a Liverpool supporter be happy about it? The first half was a dire and we did not test DDG at all, Did we?

{Ed001's Note - we kept a clean sheet for the first time this season, surely that is something to be happy about? It is the first time in 4 matches we have not lost to Man Utd, another something to be happy about. We have not lost ground to the leaders, again a reason to be happy. Overall, despite the woeful performance, I think we have good reason to be happy as Liverpool fans right now. The very fact that it is a disappointment not to beat a team with the world's most expensive player in it should be a reason to be happy.}

4.) 18 Oct 2016 07:11:04
I walked away feeling like we'd lost last night, United really were there for the taking, if only we could have been a bit more insisive. We didn't look sharp, maybe the international break disrupted the fluidity a bit.

Having said that, reading your comments Ed1 have given me a much more positive outlook this morning, 100% spot on! Considering the tough start, if you'd have said we'd be sitting two points off the top having played Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and United i'd have taken thstvall day long.

{Ed001's Note - exactly mate, we are in a good position and have every reason to be happy as fans, despite the performance. Sometimes you need these kind of games to keep everyone on their game. It stops overconfidence creeping in and keeps everyones' feet on the ground.}

5.) 18 Oct 2016 07:22:02
Look at the post match comments from the managers:

Jose can't stop talking about LFC and celebrating a point, praising his team who had 35% possession and relied on 2 great saves to keep them in it.
Klopp only talking about how disappointed he was with our performance and how we can do better.

Their reactions say it all. We have come a long way in 12 months. Onwards and upwards! 😎.

6.) 18 Oct 2016 10:39:29
Spot on ed1.

7.) 18 Oct 2016 14:18:00
What do you think of this idea that United 'won' a point? I don't buy it. 'Good' draws can only be justified by your league position, and they are 7th, 3 points off fourth with a very tough upcoming schedule in comparison to their rivals. If they draw at Chelsea next week too and everyone else wins, is that also a 'good' draw, just because it was at Stamford Bridge, despite the fact they're even further behind the top 4 with Arsenal, Everton and Spurs still to come?

8.) 18 Oct 2016 18:20:10
Spot on Ed and Nick Bruce. I don`t know what some fans were expecting but they must be living in some alternate reality. Overall, we have good reasons to be happy with where we are. Would these negative fans like to trade places with the Utd fans, whose team is 7th, 1 win in 5 and staring down the barrell at a very tough schedule? Didn`t think so just stuff your negative comments and get out of the way because the wheels on the bus or progress are moving progressively.

Emre Can or Gruic to step in if he's not available. It's not the end of the world very good players to fill the void now.

Doyley1816

1.) 10 Oct 2016 22:38:36
I love having these options, that's what Klopp's gone and done, I'd love to see Grujic don't get me wrong but for the utd game it has to be Can for me.

2.) 10 Oct 2016 23:12:11
Whoever plays, I'm sure Klopp will have them well prepared and fired up for this game.
Just hope Hendo and Studge come through tomorrow's match ok.

3.) 11 Oct 2016 07:01:19
If Wiji and Lallana injured, we can always go Can, Hendo, Coutinho midfield. I do worry a bit about Can not being match fit and possibly a defensive lapse or two as a result, but Hendo can sit a little deeper to help protect if we're under pressure. We saw that work well previously with Can and Hendo alongside each other in a 4-2-3-1 last season and Coutinho will have the freedom to break forward in Attack.

Can't wait for the match, going to be huge.

4.) 11 Oct 2016 08:25:16
Can played a friendly behind closed doors on Monday i believe, so he may not be fully up to speed but i would not say he is unfit.

5.) 11 Oct 2016 14:15:13
Can is fit to play as he`s a workaholic. Remember how he got injured in the Dortmund game and would be out for 4 weeks YET came back and had his BEST game in a red shirt vs Villareal with no games in between. The boy will be fine. I would play Can slightly ahead of Hendo (shadow Pogba a bit) with Couts along with them in midfield. Can can also help with marshaling Ibra a bit as he`s a unit like him and almost as tall. Utd will have virtually NO pace in CM and that will be their undoing as Pogba can`t and won`t chase Couts or Can around, just like he didn`t chase around KDB and Silva vs City. If Joe Allen could eat up a whole Utd midfield almost all on his own, what do you think we will do to them especially with Klopp`s reputation for meticulous preparation?

Just a thought if Couthino goes could Gini not be his replacement. possibly if the signing of Dahoud happens. He is a versatile player already at the club.

2.) 10 Oct 2016 16:20:17
Hi Doyley, there are a lot of posters who will have better understanding of targets than me, but my opinion is that Klopp will move away from recruiting 'like for like' and instead will recruit players who fit in with the team's style. I'm not convinced Coutinho is leaving, but we have lots of players at the club who can play attacking midfeilder. Wijnaldum is a good shout. 😎.

3.) 10 Oct 2016 16:15:38
Wiji cannot replace Couts in any way possible as they are very different players and Couts is not going anywhere either hence, Dahoud won`t be happening.

4.) 10 Oct 2016 19:03:50
He played on the left for Newcastle he also played no 10 role previously so I believe he can replace him though different type of player.
