Phil Scraton can hold his head up high after knocking back an OBE, unlike others.

Leave it at that.

I love the reason he gave too. Top man.

Love souness though.

Can't blame him for the demise of a club as historical trends back-up the demise of football giants, unless of course you are a state run illegal bullying club like Madrid.

Carragher stated he would love to sit down and have a scran with Ferguson, and these comments are no different.

Don't hate anyone or anything, yet can't stand Utd, but love Keane and Scholes, and see a massive similarity between Graham and Roy.

Two great players who are loyal yet express their opinions in a true footballing fashion which is quite rare.

1.) 04 Dec 2016 06:32:08
Been on the lash, Davey?

2.) 04 Dec 2016 07:42:54
Souness is one of our very best ever players. As a manager he was a disgrace. Just look at his signings. Kozma, Piechnic, dicks. Terrible mistakes and giving an interview to the s*n was unforgivable.

3.) 04 Dec 2016 08:17:28
Great player greedy man.

4.) 04 Dec 2016 11:30:24
The dirtiest player as well as a great player.
Arguably he came into a great team and improved them so that says a lot.

I love listening to him as a pundit but how many times does he say or refer to
*being a top player or its time for the top players to win the battle. '

He thinks that each team has a hierarchy with a huge alpha male leader.

This goes against klopps philosophy where every player in the squad are equal in status and those not chosen to play are equally important to the group.

As a manager he brought through Robbie Fowler, Rob Jones etc. but his style of bullying management is soon found out wherever he has been
Souness has always needed a war or rivary to win to keep proving he is tough.

One more time.

. thank you FSG for bringing us Klopp.

1.) 26 Sep 2016 20:49:22
Can't say it enough.

Thank you FSG for giving us Klopp.

Should tapping-up in football be treated any differently than being head-hunted at work?

Morally I'm not condoning it, but we only go to work to earn a few bob.

Why should football, a business, be treated any differently?

{Ed002's Note - Work contracts are not time constrained in most cases. Suggesting legalising rules that Liverpool abuses is a joke Davey.}

1.) 30 Aug 2016 23:55:37
I'm not claiming to know the ins and outs of business but contractually I leave my job for a position at a competitor or a customer, similarly a customer/ competitor cannot directly discuss a job opportunity to me and if they do I should inform my employer. Now most of the repercussions may fall on me as the employee but there is a chance a competitor or customer may face legal action. Now most of the time these things are worked out without legal action and are ultimately swept under the rug. which is how tapping up in football seems to be handled more often than not so in reality I think football handles tapping up quite similar to business.

{Ed002's Note - Legally you can give notice to leave your employ - a footballer can't. Tapping up is a problem that clubs and authorities are aware of. Serial offenders like Liverpool walk the line and know it - and they have been bitten in the past (grovelling apology and begging Fulham not to report it) and again this summer - a letter warning them off. It is unacceptable.}

2.) 31 Aug 2016 00:18:47
That's true Ed, I was more eluding to the fact that it's not as easy as was made out in business either and there certainly can be repercussions for direct communication with competitors if there are clauses in your contract.

I agree though, on the whole it is completely unacceptable and I think people at times need to be more empathetic with other clubs. I certainly would not be happy if I found out Emery was discussing a potential transfer with Coutinho for example.

What's the point of adding a '*' to the word?

If you feel that strongly, don't refer to the word, otherwise just say 'Sun' for Christ sake.

It's like being at school.

{Ed025's Note - its the fact that the name of that scum bag rag should never be mentioned on this or any other football forum davey, the guy is just treating it with the contempt it deserves mate..jft96

Nice Seano, but I don't agree with the Can comments.

He's a dangerous player and we need someone else there.

Still, he's got a future, but for me, at the moment, it's on the bench.

Nice point for us there, and proof that we can still match the teams at the top.

Onward again after today me thinks

Every Utd game is treated that way.

Nothing new here.

Yes, ed, at one time - many moons ago, it often occurred when we would sign the best, now, it appears that that mentality has been passed down through a generation, in which the naivety reeks of desperation.

Ask the scallies to mind the car for you.

For £2.50 they will disappear and appear again ninety minutes later.
