Just a thought for the Banter page:

We could offer Willian more game time than he's getting at Chelsea. Now that we've got more funds, and given that the player wanted Liverpool in the first place, any of you think he would make a decent signing?

{Ed002's Note - It is no going to happen.}

1.) Either your joking or a chelsea fan.

Origi deal all but done- waiting till after WC to agree personal terms and finalise the deal but the player is happy with the transfer and Lille have accepted the offer. Hence the die down in the news, nothing new to report!

Llorente would be a truly horrific transfer.

7 goals from 31 appearances last term from only 6 full games in Serie A (subbed off 19 times).

70% pass accuracy- terrible.
40% duels won (25% take on completion rate- Our forwards average double that).
47% shot accuracy- bad.
18 Defensive actions all season- poor contribution.
23 chances created with 1 assist all season.

These are truly terrible stats, some of the worst I've seen from any striker at a big club.

It would be five years too late if we sign him.

2.) 27 Jun 2015 11:01:05
Agreed. Even the Llorente of 2013/14 would of been great. Tevez has ruined him with his dominance.

Anyone know if the team will be training tomorrow morning? I've been down to Melwood today but going home tomorrow and want a glimpse of Balotelli

21 Aug 2014 21:40:21
At the end of the day to cap off all the Balo talk, what it boils down to for me is one question:

Were you scared of the potential threat when Balo lined up against Lpool for City?

I was, I wouldn't have been for Borini, for Shane Long or even for Bony. But I wouldn't want Balotelli to play against Liverpool. That's all that matters for me.

1.) I remember when he played against us. There was a clear agenda to wined him up. It worked, very easy and he was sent off. I was quite happy for him to play against us again cause it was so easy to take him out the game.

2.) 21 Aug 2014 22:38:10
Gota say I'm with emre on this one, I always remember watching him against specifically at anfield and emre hits the nail on the head, we sound him up he lost his temper and got sent off, still excited about the potential move but Gota agree with emre all the same :)

3.) He's mad, unpredictable, funny, disruptive. He's also a winner. His medals speak for themselves. And more importantly now, he's a red. You'll never walk alone Super Mario, welcome to the greatest football club in the world

4.) 21 Aug 2014 22:56:56
I was worried about playing him because he had the potential to do something amazing. However most of the time he just got wound up like can said

5.) Spot on DPrince95.

6.) 21 Aug 2014 23:10:09
Someone wined him up! We'll have to change that - let him go drinking with Gerrard after the match and not before.

7.) 21 Aug 2014 23:17:57
Get the point being made, maybe not the best example. Though when England played Italy there were only two players that worried me, Pirlo and Balotelli (imagine the Germans felt the same during the Euros).

Is very hot and cold, has a temperament issue and doesn't have the best work ethic. But. . he is capable of scoring goals and can create them out of nothing.

Not saying it will work out or it isn't a risk, but can't say he isn't capable and scoring from nothing is a talent few players have

19 Jul 2014 22:59:18
Ben Davies has passed his Spurs medical.

1.) 20 Jul 2014 10:25:09
If a player signs only for a club that guarantees first team football and isn't up for a fight for his place Liverpool is not the place for him.

19 Jul 2014 19:59:49
Borini has refused his transfer to Sunderland despite a fee being agreed between Liverpool and Sunderland.

1.) I think either way we will get Remy in.

Hi guys, I work for a football stats company and can tell you that Allen has both a deceptively high pass completion rate for a midfielder over the last two seasons (87.09%), and also has won more duels than Gerrard. He gets bashed more than he should

Not in the squad for Sunday as paperwork not finished.

Oh no Fanobip, perhaps well have to play the first few games of the season without Suarez and without our new signings!!

Would that by any chance be what we had to do last year and coped extremely well with?

Ed002 When you say he wants to return to Spain. is this permanently you're talking about or just another loan?

{Ed002's Note - Loan.}

He's old and he was average at Villa last season!

Best one I've seen so far

@Boom Lacazette signed a new contract mate so I don't think he's an option. Committed himself to Ligue1.

I can't see how such a contract would work. It's against the clubs interests to have it in there. He could literally just stroll around the pitch and not kick the ball according to what you're saying, and still get picked just because he's "fit".

Surely it would give him the leeway to not always give 100% for the team and so therefore surely no club would ever allow such a clause?

{Ed001's Note - it happens regularly though, because teams take a chance to get a player they really want to have.}

Nope the waiting list is miles and miles longer. Supply and Demand though, having a healthy sized waiting list allows them to charge more for season tickets every year and know that people will be willing to pay!
