Crabbyfool

1.) 31 Aug 2017 15:46:44
didnt you just say he is having a medical with chelsea?

2.) 31 Aug 2017 15:47:54
my bad that was for mahrez.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 15:52:30
VVD, He's coming mate . Lemar refusing to go to Arsenal so that's still possible.

4.) 31 Aug 2017 15:57:11
I've heard nothing at my end either.
But then again, I'm 'working from home' today, so like many of us on here am unlikely to hear anything spectacular unless VVD turns up on my doorstep.
Got to go. Someone's just rung the door bell.

5.) 31 Aug 2017 16:01:01
Cmon Macca fill us in. Tuesdays passed.

6.) 31 Aug 2017 16:17:40
vvd is a ghost, as believable as elvis riding shergar.

7.) 31 Aug 2017 16:55:30
"unless VVD turns up on my doorstep.
Got to go. Someone's just rung the door bell. "

No. Wrong number. It was Thunderbird 3.

Coutinho just handed in an officia transfer request as reported on SSN.

1.) 11 Aug 2017 12:24:15
Just when you think it's all going to be Ok! : (.

2.) 11 Aug 2017 12:24:55
Just saw that but SS transfer Centre is down.

Pipco broke the internet!

The irony of the re being a stroy about Klopps pleasure over the FSG stance.

3.) 11 Aug 2017 12:28:22
Right in the feels. : (.

4.) 11 Aug 2017 12:32:03
Wow, that did not take long.

The Liverpool Echo report Ibrahimovic linked. is this bull or is there anything to it?

Crabbyfool

{Ed002's Note - Paris Saint-Germain would be more than happy to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic and get his truly vast wages off the books. However, I would not hold your breath about him moving to Liverpool.}

1.) 17 Mar 2015 18:30:29
One of the best players ever. A playing legend.

2.) 18 Mar 2015 00:00:36
I know we couldn't afford him, nor might he not want to join us. But he would be a formidable signing, but I doubt he's got many years left in the tank to justify his wages.

Karius to continue as our champions league keeper all the way to the final? Personally I'd keep him. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Crabbyfool

1.) 11 Dec 2017 13:45:53
With you there, Crabby. He's kept 3 clean sheets and made one error (vs Spartak at Moscow) and kept us in the Seville game with a couple of top class saves as we are undefeated with him in goal.

2.) 11 Dec 2017 14:21:09
Yupp hard to disagree there.

3.) 11 Dec 2017 15:41:23
he is our bestkeeper, shame we have to wait until feb to see him play again.

4.) 12 Dec 2017 06:10:42
His game is more suited to European football. Fewer high crosses, less physical confrontation in the box.
Klopp is using European games to build his confidence. Premier league is a different kettle of fish for him, there are no guarantees.

19 Sep 2017 21:36:10
I know we conceded two but I still think ward looked more comfortable in goal than the others. I'd keep him in.

Crabbyfool

1.) 19 Sep 2017 21:46:01
Omg have ya heard yrself mate?

2.) 19 Sep 2017 21:48:03
Think He and Grujic will have to wait till January for playing games!

3.) 19 Sep 2017 21:48:28
Ward and esp woodburn real positives Tonight.

4.) 19 Sep 2017 21:53:49
He's only played one game, Crabby. Chill out.

5.) 19 Sep 2017 22:04:42
Thought Robertson played well - AGAIN 🤝.

6.) 19 Sep 2017 22:00:27
Was I watching same game? Woodburn nowhere near ready too weak. Needs more time. In under 23.

7.) 19 Sep 2017 21:51:09
One was a worldie and the other weren't bad. They were normal goals to concede that all great goal keepers have conceded.

There where none from corners or free kicks. No flapping or bluffing his lines. No miscommunication with the defence. Quick off his line. Good passing. Great kicking.

He starts on Saturday for me.

Let's just clear this up. At this moment none of our goal keepers are good enough for the prem but ward looms the most comfortable out the 3 we have.

8.) 19 Sep 2017 22:18:54
I am sorry but what positive did Ward do? the poor lad had little involvement in the game apart from picking the ball from the back of the net twice, apart from that he was a spectator . I would protect him until we have a better defence that can shield him, the poor kid's confidence must be shaken.

9.) 19 Sep 2017 22:33:18
Truth yes, you were watching a different game.

10.) 19 Sep 2017 22:41:03
Woodburn looked lively during a period when everyone else had conceded defeat. But as you promote, the truth hurts your negative mindset.

11.) 19 Sep 2017 23:34:44
He's good enough for international football but to weak for the Moose cup?
(or whatever it is this year]

Ridiculous.

03 Sep 2017 15:45:12
What's everyone's opinion on what to do with coutinho?

Personally I'd put him in the first 11 straight away against city. I know our team would ev hard to drop but I feel if he doesn't play it'll make relationships worse with the club. Let's just get past his mistakes and get behind him again.

Having him come on as a sub would be fine but I could imagine him getting so much stick from the fans (both sides)

Just my opinion as I want him to help us challenge for the title and not waste him away with the reserves.

Crabbyfool

1.) 03 Sep 2017 16:03:58
He won't start against City, what sort of message would that send to the rest of the squad that has just thrashed Hoffenheim and Arsenal. I think he will probably be on the bench and will be gently eased back into the first team picture.

2.) 03 Sep 2017 16:07:00
I would ask coutinho if he's ready to get on with being a footballer again, if not leave him out, if so stick him on the bench, no automatic route to the first team, needs to prove himself again first.

3.) 03 Sep 2017 16:24:28
Even if he had genuinely just been injured and none of the Barcelona things had happened I don't think he should go straight into the starting lineup. The other midfielders have been playing great and don't deserve to be dropped.

4.) 03 Sep 2017 16:26:47
No, for a few reasons.

1. His head needs to be right before he's put back in to the team.
2. The team has been playing well as is, so why change it.
3. It sends a poor message to the other players, they've been training, playing well and generally working hard and you immediately replace them with a player who hasn't trained and tried to engineer a move away from the club.

First things first, the relationship between Klopp and Coutinho needs to be sorted and ensure all his teammates feel comfortable with him again (they should be, they're professionals) .

The fans don't need an apology, fans are fickle and if he starts playing when again then everything will be forgiven, as we did with Suarez.

5.) 03 Sep 2017 16:42:58
I'd leave him out of the team until the cup game against Leicester then if he puts in a performance start bringing him back in to the first team fold.

6.) 03 Sep 2017 16:49:44
Why put in Coutinho straight away after all he has done? He needs to earn back his place starting off with an apology that he acted like a teenage brat.

The club owes him nothing. He is being payed his wages and needs to abide to his contract. End of the story.

7.) 03 Sep 2017 17:34:20
The pressure will be on him to play well immediately. I can see the Leicester away cup game to bring him back.

8.) 03 Sep 2017 17:35:26
I'd stick him on the bench.

9.) 03 Sep 2017 17:38:31
I would like to hear eds1 opinion on this.

{Ed001's Note - depends on what his attitude is like.}

10.) 03 Sep 2017 18:10:47
He needs to earn his place back in training the same as everyone else.
Put the work in, show your commitment, then you're available for selection.
Mope about, don't work in training = not in march day squad.

11.) 03 Sep 2017 18:19:38
Should apologize to the dressing room then get his head down in training and get on with it. First time he smacks in a 30 yard free kick all will be forgiven.

12.) 03 Sep 2017 21:10:16
If his heads right play him let's be honest you don't just toss your best players to the side. He always turns up for the big games and it's silly to omit him due to stubbornness, if we make him wait or demote him for a game or two who benefits? We certainly don't.

13.) 04 Sep 2017 01:46:17
We go 1 nil down against city and everyone, including every poster here, will be screaming for him to be brought on.
Who cares about his head? He doesn't score many with it.

I know he's a different kind of headcase to Suarez, but after he agreed to join Arsenal in Summer 2013, he pretty much blew the doors off that season.

Play him. That's the nature of football these days. Play your best. All the old stuff about loyalty and club bullshit went out the window the day supporters stuck a satellite dish on the side of their houses.

If he#s having a good season, sell him for 250 in January and buy Lemar for 100. He'd be brilliant with Keita. A decent DM and we'd be laughing and have a full on Klopp 6.
Onwards and upwards.
To think it all started with those ugly dishes! Used be a time when Frank McAvennie was top scorer in a league that nobody was watching on a TV anywhere and you heard about it on Wogan.

20 Aug 2017 10:45:11
Barcelona saying that it's now or never so guessing one more bid will be lined up in the region on £130million. I think Liverpool should accept and keep it behind closed doors till we can do some business ourselves without clubs knowing we have that money come in. Maybe wait until we are for sure in the champions league.

Crabbyfool

1.) 20 Aug 2017 11:37:36
Barcelona keep quiet? They were scheduling a bloody presentation. They'll be screaming it from, the nou camp.

2.) 20 Aug 2017 13:43:15
If it was £130m straight up without stupid clauses, then Liverpool should accept as it's clear that PC wants to leave. If not, then tell Barcelona to do one. That's how I see it.

{Ed002's Note - Clearly you also don't seem to be able to grasp the transfer process either.}

Very impressed with the lad.
Hopefully he'll start against city I feel his defensive work will be needed. Also having two players if TAA plays then we have two players that can cross the ball which is certainly a weakness of Manchester city's in recent times.

I can't see a non English team taking him imo.

Crabbyfool

{Ed002's Note - He has turned down an offer from Spain. I am not sure what deals the original poster expect Liverpool to be using Sinclair in today.}

I think it is already a success as keeping a player with such a poor attitude and agent is toxic for the club. I think once Benteke is done i think we have had a good window, maybe want one more signing
