Well Ed01, Tim got some brains. He is about to receive 33 mill for his striker who would have moved this or next summer regardless and would go straight back into ha squad for reinforcement.
On another note Liverpool FC ll sell one of its hot property for 50 mill and would take a gamble on 33 mill.
I just had a check on Benteke goal scoring STATS including the games he missed, he has averaged 14 goals a season.

Kovacic doesn't play where Teixeira or Coutinho plays, he plays a similar role to Henderson, but has different attributes.

i don't really understand what the fuss is about. kovacic is good player and can score a goal and he is available. i really don't understand why we don't need him? we need good players in all positions. He gives us options which would actually make an Impact. We need Quality, what's the harm? say if we were bidding for someone like vidal, should we not bid just because we have too many mids? ever seen that arsenal midfield - ramsey ozil wilshere carzorla rosiscky sanchez ox and walcott in one team. or chelsea for instance they got 6-7 top top midfielders. i for one think kovacic is genuine quality and i would be absolutely thrilled to have him at anfield.

I think the issue is funds are tight and most would rather see those funds used to buy top quality in the positions we're severely lacking like a keeper and a couple of strikers. Not another midfielder that BR has no idea how he wants to use him.

Everyone would love Kovacic if we had a bottomless pit of money. The problem is we don't and signing him means we won't be spending money in other areas. A better goalkeeper (I think) is more important than another central midfield player of whom we have an abundance of right now.

actually he is not lazy! its a petulant blame from some of our so called experts . if he is lazy than what's sturridge? This season lots of time I saw him waiting in the box for cross, pass or cut back . but unfortunately we don't have a system to support his game . we lack pace in the wings and how many good crossers do we have? or how many times do our wingers make cut back pass? moreover benteke himself lacks speed to move quickly through the spaces. the total scenario is a mess up. the system is contradictory .
