Also, are there any potential suitors for X. Alonso when his contract runs down, or is it likely he will extend? With the arrival of Illaramendi, I think he'll be on his way out. {Ed002's Note - Barcelona need to raise some funds through sales as they are still looking to strengthen in several areas and will also be bringing players through (like Tello) that have been getting experience in the B team. They do accept some of the B side (e.g. Deulofeu and Roberto) have attracted interest from elsewhere and could be let go but many would be reluctant to move on without an assurance of first team football. Like Deulofeu who is on loan at Everton, Roberto has been of interest to English sides including Spurs and Chelsea after being offered around a number of sides. Barcelona proposed a recent deal to Chelsea regarding using Roberto in part exchange for another player although it looks a very unlikely proposition. I am not aware of Liverpool making any approach for the player, although it is not something that could be ruled out entirely.
I see Alonso's options as Galatasaray (can't see him moving there now), New York Red Bulls, Colorado Rapids or LA Galaxy (all possible) and finally Real Sociedad (in the future perhaps). I can't say the most likely thing to happen but I could give an opinion that he will move to the MLS (maybe the NY Red Bulls) and then return to Spain to end his career with Real Sociedad.}

Hi eds, any interest in Nosa from Betis? Would provide good competition with Lucas and can pass a ball. Also what about Nicolai Muller from Mainz? Had a great start to the season, scoring 5 in 4 from a right sided attacking midfield position. {Ed002's Note - Enquiries were made about Nosa by Cardiff before they moved for a more defensive midfield player in Gary Medel. Nicolai Muller is negotiating a contract extension with Mainz and I am not aware of any interest in him.}

Also, is there any fresh information about Shaqiri? I've read that we bid £15m before the World Cup, in a similar situation to Lallana.
Do we know of any forwards that Liverpool have expressed any interest in since the end of the season, apart from the obvious Sanchez and Shaqiri.

Hi eds, could you explain the situation with Emre Can, I'm aware we have "agreed a deal in principle". Could you sum up what that means and what's required to 100% complete the signing. I'm led to believe it's just awaiting the paperwork to be formally completed and submitted?

Happy with last nights performances from Sterling and Ibe. Their attacking positions and runs were great and their adaption to Rodgers' style of play is a good thing to see. They've continued their impressive preseason and hopefully get more chances in the league to show everyone else what they can do!
Surely a bid for at least Illori is imminent now?
