Afternoon friends - first time I've stopped by for a couple of years - hope everyone is well ?

No trip to Anfield for me this year - I've only missed one year since 1980. :)

Anyhow the world changes very quickly - doesn't seem that long ago I was on here spouting nonsense on nurturing Jay Spearing through games when Lucas was injured and using every transfer window to post a terrible joke about a French leftback who plays in sandals......

If you get a chance I implore you to watch the Chris Kirkland Premier League story on SKY - a brilliant insight into him and more importantly male mental health.

Will do mate thanks for that.

2.) 16 Feb 2018 03:17:34
Not saying he didn't have issues but he seemed to blame every downturn in form on foreign goalkeeper coaches and or the manager.

On his day he was a formidable keeper, just didn't have enough of those days.

I never saw the hype with Kirkland imo. We spent a fortune on him too. Injuries clearly didn’t help him but I’m not sure he was anywhere near good enough as the fee we paid for him.

Watched this last night with my old man, I love seeing things like this, gives you such a big insight. Hope they make more of them.

Boiled Onions, I always read your name out in the voice of Vic Reeves.

2.) 09 Jan 2018 17:40:33
Correct Mr Dennis - and Judging by your name we should take a trip to Novelty Island.

3.) 09 Jan 2018 18:52:49
What do you do to the wheel of justice?

4.) 09 Jan 2018 17:28:27
He's still cooking on gas!

5.) 09 Jan 2018 19:24:57

AHOY - for all Liverpool fans who follow the MLS - lifelong red Liam Doyle has been drafted to play for DC United in the MLS. He turned down a number of League 1 clubs over the past two years to finish his degree in the US and has been picked up by the MLS. DC United play LA Galaxy first game of the season would be a pleasure to see him on the same pitch as SG and Robbie Keane.

He is a unit who could make a name for himself - proves there is more than one way to make it to the pro game other than the Academy Farms and endless disappointments.

Where would you rather make your pro debut Prenton Park or Los Angeles?

In terms of hopes to one day play in the worlds biggest tournaments? Probably Prenton park. In terms of where I'd like to live? LA. It's all horses for courses - whether he'll actually play, whether he'll be good enough, whether they look after him right or bigger clubs ever want him, whether his degree is worth anything to him if he never hits the football big time and needs another career. come back in 5 years on this one!

2.) 22 Jan 2016 16:39:53
He'd probably make more money in League 1, to be honest. MLS minimum for younger players is about £500 a week.

3.) 22 Jan 2016 17:46:26
Certainly not Prenton Park with all them anti-scouse wools.

Note to all Patricks – I’m not that easy you’ve got to take me to the pictures first (hint -you stand a better chance if you’re wearing Lois courdroy’s too)

Ahoy – all things Redknapp should be kept well away from Anfield.

Harry almost bankrupt Portsmouth, Spurs, & West Ham took a huge brown envelope of cash and put it in a bank account named after his dog !!!!

Jamie was a permanent fixture in our wilderness years, and needlessly ran to the nearest Centre half to collect the ball – bewildering

He took off his shirt and minced across the beach in a TV travel company advert and within 3 months Thomas Cook were almost bankrupt (something he inherited from his father)

He also had zero awareness on the pitch – he could have hoofed his free kick v Blackburn into the Anfield Road stands instead of the top corner to still give Man U a sniff of the title.

Carra – I think you could be onto something

It is a Stihl MS250 – so in keeping with BR policy overpriced, 3 year guarantee, loaned out and never to be seen nor heard of again

If I had two heads I’d be twice as gullible.
