i think liverpool need to buy Anderson from west ham, this player what we need. : speed, skill, can play in wing or atacking midfield. what you think?

Athos2017

{Ed025's Note - i think he is lazy and overrated athos..

1.) 04 Dec 2018 21:07:52
But on MOTD he looked quality in one match Ed025. Is that now how it works?

I’ll check his Fifa stats, that will settle it.

{Ed025's Note - its a damn good gauge KK.. :)

2.) 04 Dec 2018 21:11:16
Snow snippets from his time in Italy and I thought he was going to be a star this season however judging him from West Ham performances I have to agree with Ed 25 here. Bags of potential which he doesn’t seem to have the work rate to utilise.

{Ed025's Note - show pony for me Bmena..

3.) 04 Dec 2018 21:24:05
I’m sure I saw a stat today ( ok I know sometimes stat don’t mean diddly! ) but this was that Anderson was top of the list of the number of times a midfielders had given the ball away. Interestingly Pogba was second!

{Ed025's Note - i have some stats for you about anderson squiresy...lazy sod...1st ....most overrated player...1st...greediest attacker...1st..

4.) 04 Dec 2018 22:07:16
Say no to drugs.

{Ed025's Note - hey...thats my line max!..

5.) 04 Dec 2018 23:09:24
Felipe Anderson is as Ed25 described: Lazy, disinterested and plays well when the team is in full flow. When poop hits the fan, he is nowhere to be found. I will say as someone said, he looks awesome on the MOTD highlight reels tho.

6.) 05 Dec 2018 08:41:01
Thought I would save you a job ed.

{Ed025's Note - thanks for that max.. :)

hi. for me is simple ; this midfielders ( henderson, milner, gini) are not world class. we lost in paris because veratti and neimar distroy our midfiled. we have a world class gk, very . very good defenders, world class attak., we need a world class middfield. for me: verrati , _ n. keita_0x.

1.) 29 Nov 2018 20:42:42
We had one, he was called Coutinho?

2.) 29 Nov 2018 21:03:56
Juicer, Coutinho played largely on the left of the front 3. In his last half season when we tried to play him in midfield he just slowed the play down and lost possession. A lot.
I loved Coutinho in a Liverpool shirt but he was no midfield player. He was a forward, plain and simple.

3.) 29 Nov 2018 21:19:04
And yet Bobby, for me his best ever spell (his first 6 months) he played in midfield.

4.) 29 Nov 2018 21:28:05
OP, we never said our mid's were world class and you don't need to have world class midfielders to reach a CL final as clearly these same players you are bashing showed last season. I propose that the bashing of players should stop cos it is adding nothing to the debate.

As for Cou, his best years where when he played on the left side of midfield. I remember his first start at Anfield vs Swansea where he played on the left and scored a nice goal in a 5-0 win. His final 6 months were a complete disaster and showed why we were right to let him go cos he stopped trying.

5.) 29 Nov 2018 21:28:44
We’ve never replaced xabi alonso 🤗.

{Ed025's Note - what a player he was jordz..

6.) 30 Nov 2018 00:54:23
No we simply don't have a midfield that and control a game and turn it on its head.

So not saying our current players aren't good enough but a pjanic next to hendo wouldn't go a miss!

7.) 30 Nov 2018 08:49:08
Van dijk isn't world class?

8.) 30 Nov 2018 09:12:45
If we have a world class attack why could they not muster a shot on target over two whole games against Naples and Paris? If we have a world class defence how come they let two goals in against Belgrade? Stop blaming the midfield for everything.

IMO it was a very good game of football. Apart from the result I enjoyed it! It is what CL games should be about. You can blame blame blame all you like, but the fact is it was Paris that were just excellent, as were their crowd. If you count them as a the 12th man yesterday, they played a blinder. It was entertaining and well-deserved. We can't win every game. I believe our own 12th man will do their job against Naples at Anfield. We move on.

hi. i think liverpool don't have a number 10 player. city play with david silva, bernando silva and DE BRUYNE ALL number 10 type player, and because of that . city creating very much goals. our middfilders are much more number 5 and 8 ( milner) . what do you think? P. S. coutinho would be very good now.

1.) 05 Nov 2018 05:08:03
We've done better since Coutinho left mate. Bugger comparing us to City, we're 2 points behind them! we have the fear factor as much as they do.

What is it with so many people losing their s**t about a draw against a very good Arsenal team? I'll admit it felt like a loss to me because we should've had the three points but a draw isn't a loss. People need to think of the big picture here and remember exactly how good we've done this season so far.

Every single team in this league including City are afraid of us right now, so wtf is the problem? people going off their heads speaking nonsense about how we should now sign so and so player going on about absolute BULLSH*T. The team we have right now are more than capable, sure there's quite a few things what need ironing out but name a team what don't have issues?

So many Liverpool fans are too quick to compare us to City, they're only 2 points ahead of us lol compare at the end of the season. People act like they're the best team ever because they beat Southampton 6-1. They have plenty of quality and they get my respect for it but so do Liverpool, we've not even played well yet and we're still unbeaten! City have been playing well and are getting good results, imagine when we start to click properly? which will happen!

Be more patient, we hardly have much to complain about right now but somehow people always find something! I'm fine hearing some discussions about what we can improve on and the majority make sense when they talk about that but going on like City are 10 x better than us etc is utter nonsense!

Just to note Athos2017, this post isn't aimed directly at you mate so please don't think it is, there's quite a few posts recently what have done my head in because we drew against a good team away from home!

I'm going to continue repeating myself all season, mark my words, we're winning this title. I don't think we'll lose a game at all! People automatically assuming City will win it because they have great midfielders/ forwards yeah well so do we! wait until we lift that trophy, it's already ours!

Believe. Went on a bit there didn't I, jesus. Have a good day to all.

Before I post this I want to ask Ed1, are you currently happy with how Liverpool are doing mate?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, of course I am. We are making progress, what more do people want? We can't expect to run away with the league, I know people think that is how it happened in the old days, but it simply isn't true.}

2.) 05 Nov 2018 05:11:31
Nope and Nope, we don't need nothing. Team hasn't lost a game yet and drawn away at chelsea and arsenal. And both were two brilliant games of football. we didn't allow city to score a single goal.
people need to grasp how far we have come from last few seasons. we are scoring goals against all the lesser oppositions so i don't see the problem. You cannot expect 4-3 and 5-4 scorelines with us this season. The maturity and graft this team is showing is of title winners.
The only problem is city and Chelsea are also having one hell of a season along with us. and this is as tasty as it gets. all a football fan could ask for. If we win the title, its going to be the toughest title ever won. Enjoy it.

3.) 05 Nov 2018 05:27:49
Exactly Ed1, exactly! I'm glad you have a similar opinion!

Good post aks.

{Ed001's Note - I get tired of the moaning to be honest. We are unbeaten and in the title mix, it is still early days and that is all that matters right now. As the season goes on injuries, suspensions, form and fitness will start affecting results. We have already seen how Watford have dropped off the pace and others will too. A serious injury to the wrong player could happen to any team in the title run in and derail it. What you need these days is a squad that all can slot in and out without any real disruption. We seem to have that, Man City have that, but Chelsea could struggle later in the season as Sarri's teams always struggle when they suffer injuries or loss of form as he has a tight team, but the back ups barely feature and so struggle when they are called on.}

4.) 05 Nov 2018 05:56:59
Agree completely Ed001 and Salah. this point last season we were in 6th place, had lost 2 games and conceded 17 goals! we have also scored the same amount of goals with 21. Im over the moon! couldn't really have asked for a much better start. If we were offered this before the start of the season, no-one would have said no!

I think Chelsea will drop off later in the season, along with the latter stages of the Europa league taking their toll. They will finish top 4 but I fancy us and city to be battling out for top spot come April/ May.

Hopefully we'll get another 3 points in the CL in Belgrade on Tuesday and cheer this place up a bit!

5.) 05 Nov 2018 06:52:00
Nice one Salah, Mr. Optimism 😊
Agree with every word.

6.) 05 Nov 2018 07:36:18
Well said salah, city are going 100% every game, we are at 50% and only 2 points of the top. and we have played every top team,3 away and 1 at home and we are unbeaten still, city could burn out later on, if we keep with them, then we stand a chance. last year they had no pressure on them as they was so far ahead, if we put pressure on them who knows what will happen, just enjoy the ride as we are improving ynwa.

7.) 05 Nov 2018 06:17:23
exactly ed 001 6 months still left in this season. and we and city are only teams that have used their bench till now. we also have a few players who are yet to explode for us on the scene.
we have to keep ourselves in touch of city and team is doing it as good as they can. 11 games no defeat only five goals conceded is a huge step up from last season. we are finally starting to win games with less than 80 percent on the pitch. I think that is a big part for winning the title. You have to win games even when the performance is not quite 100 percent and we are doing that. There is no point in going 100 percent from get go and running out of steam by January. A lot of this owed to our defensive form. VVD has been great, Allison seems to have calmed the ghosts of LFC keeper. Lovren has been good. gomez and robbo are just revelations and trent is ever improving. also special mention to Milner what a player! he is enjoying his football so much.
the team looks bonded on and off the pitch. everything is just right. It has never been this good for us in last two decades i feel. Its so measured at this time, Like klopp has had a look into the future and knows what's coming. Yep the Title.

8.) 05 Nov 2018 07:25:16
Well Ed, that's what it is with me mate, I don't understand all the moaning, I had a brief look on social media and that is just unreal! people are acting like we've been relegated!

{Ed001's Note - because they have no perspective and no patience. Modern fans expect the team to be 7-0 by kick off or it is not good enough.}

9.) 05 Nov 2018 07:55:01
It hilarious to think we ran away with the league when we dominated, I was brought up in the 80’s and we certainly didn’t. Everton form instance gave us a real good run for our money. Defending form the front was also key, just like we try to do today, Rushy was brilliant at that.

2nf in the league and we still have players that aren’t on top form yet, Bobby the prime example.

The key for me is keeping VVD fit.

10.) 05 Nov 2018 07:56:18
As long as we are still in with a shout after Christmas then that is progress for me.

11.) 05 Nov 2018 10:37:01
Agree Salah and Ed. The pressure is clearly on Man City. They keep winning big and we still haven't lost and are right on their heels. Just wait until we hit our stride.

12.) 05 Nov 2018 13:33:32
True Ed, unfortunately very true. People these days just don't seem to get it and I'll be honest, it winds me up more than it should! Too many gobsh*tes.

{Ed001's Note - it is modern culture, they want and demand everything now. They have no appreciation for others and no idea of working to earn something over a period of time.}

13.) 06 Nov 2018 02:01:10
only 7-0 by kick off? you are understating Ed001. you better have the trophy ready to be paraded after the 1st game of the season.

there is no doubt Liverpool has progressed significantly under Klopp.

Yes, we've not won anything under him, and I'm as desperate as anyone to win something, esp. the PL title.

But just look at the past 3.5 years:

Been to finals? checked.

Amazing European nights? checked.

Becoming regulars in the top 4? checked.

Being a team to be reckoned with in the league and in Europe? checked.

Having an attack that is a joy to watch? checked.

Having a defence that is no longer leaking goals such that we win each game 5-3? checked.

Having a team and squad that can actually compete? checked.

Having players that other big clubs are eyeing instead of players that will join a Championship side after leaving us? checked.

Being linked with quality players with ambitions? checked.

Dishing out football that people enjoy and not having fans leave at the 80th min after conceding because it all feels hopeless? checked.

And there's so much more.

I hope we win a few trophies this year, I really do. But what more do people want at this stage other than to be in the mix in the title race and to stay in the other competitions and hopefully be in the finals?

{Ed001's Note - again I agree with you.}
