What is the point in signing and international player like Oussama Assaidi, and then never playing him? OK, so I understand about having a squad. But this guy is hardly ever even a sub. So what was the point? I actually like him and think he is a useful player (not as good as Coutinho), but he could chip in some goals, assists and decent performances, albeit mostly from the bench? What is that all about? Is he destined to be another Nabil El Zhar? Or move of a David Ngog? Oh deary me.
Just don't get me started on Joe Allen. Not fit to clean Titi Camara's boots!
1.) Joe Allen is an International player!
So don't get your point. If he was that good maybe he would play, maybe they know something you dont?
2.) You'll be eating humble pie about Joe next season.
3.) 19 Jun 2013 22:10:38
Nonsense, Joe Allen was our best player for a lot of games in the start of the season.
Assaidi is unlikely to stay, sterling and ibe are better and 6-7 years younger.
4.) You seem like a very confused individual.
When a 17 year old Sterling and an 18 year old Suso is ahead of this international player, you could actually think, it is still possible you know, why? Maybe he isn't that good enough?
The real AG
5.) I don't see how Assaidi can be judged on a few substitute appearances? the lad has not had a decent chance to settle into the team, when he did play he didn't have time to fit in, you can't do much in 10/15 minutes, he was playing really well in Holland and was wanted by Ajax I believe, but he came to us, big mistake from him I think, maybe he would be better off leaving, at least he may get to play.
6.) Joe Allen is an international player, yes. for Wales!
'N swerve talkin' about Assaidi now!
He's had a full season here and hasn't impressed BR and the coaches.
That's that; accept it!
Plus, there's been numerous other issues regarding him (which you may know if you actually RTFP!)
Would love to see him succeed ideally, but if it were up to some of you Harry Kewell would still be here as 'next season's going to be the one for him'!
Turn it in!

OK. So Neymar is good.
But what are your opinions about the team as a whole? Do you think they would be better with Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Leiva in the side? (Or in the squad at the very least?).
1.) Both would make a huge impact in the side in my opinion. Coutinho is different class to some of the players and Lucas does his job well which always goes unnoticed. Brazil are nowhere near as good as they used to be and when your picking players like Oscar over Coutinho it shows why. Lucas is one of the most underrated players I've seen. Normally Brazilians are overrated but he is far from it. I feel as a defensive midfielder only Paulinho is probably better. Was shocked to find out neither of them were picked. Hopefully this means they will work harder next season to get into the team for the World Cup. Will be interesting to see how hungry they are for a place. Cheers.
2.) I think Coutinho should at least be on the bench. If you look at his stats from after we got him he was basically the exact same as Oscar who had half a season more than him in the league and Oscar is starting for Brazil. Lucas Leiva is still coming back from a massive injury and it is not easy, messes with your head, I have had a similar surgery and coming back is not easy. I am quite impressed by how Lucas has done. But I think if they both stay fit and work hard they could be in the World Cup squad.
3.) Brazil great team. obviously
but they won't realise that Coutinho is the missing piece to their attack until after they lose the world cup next year
Lucas Moura and Bernard on the bench seems a waste
4.) I think Coutinho belongs on the team at least in a bench role. I would say he played better than Oscar last season. However on current form Lucas doesn't belong anywhere near the National team. Gustavo, Hernanes, Paulinho are all on better form from last season.

What about Jon Flannagan? He seemed to do fine a few seasons ago when we nearly won the title. He is back from a long injury, and if he is performing well, then why not bring him back from his loan? He is a class played in my opinion.

My philosophy is as follows:
You have to ask yourself when considering buying a defender or midfielder, the following question. Not only, is he better than what we have in that position, but also is he better than the main man, Emre Can? Because he has played at RB for Germany, and frankly could play anywhere in midfield or defence.
And if we are considering full backs, would they be better than Flanagan. And for wingers, the question should be: can they beat Flanno?
And here is a riddle.
14 is only 34.

not sure what all the fuss about Chilwell (or other LBs) is.
We have the Scouse Cafu who proved he can play there. Or right back. Or prob even midfield. As CB cover, Gomez is brilliant and Emre Can can play anywhere.

When you say X player, do you mean our dear Xabi?
Jo! Goal! He comes on. He scores. Maybe we should by him. 100% international scoring record!
