Hi Ed02, just wondered what the situation was with Tevez? And what striker will most likely end up at Anfield? I know we have Sturridge, origi and Ings, so that could be as far as we go I guess. Thanks again.

AJGREDS

{Ed002's Note - Boca Junios would like Carlos Tevez to return this summer but (a) money for a transfer and wages will be an issue, and (b) Daniel Angelici has seriously miffed Juventus by instructing Tevez to terminate his contract by whatever means are necessary. Trading some cash and options on midfield prospect Adrián Cubas, striker Guido Vadalá and/or Federico Bravo may be something that suits all parties - but the players would need to agree. Adrian Ruocco has said Tevez will see his contract out and then move to Boca as a free agent. I don't know of any interest from Liverpool in Tevez, although the Liverpool fans are getting their rocks off thinking about him.}

Thank you. So with Sky Sports (I know not always right ) they claim an English club is interested but not us. Any ideas or just rubbish?

{Ed002's Note - Try the European pages.}

My earlier post was just a frustration at the negativity at the moment but I do admit that I agree with most things on here. Redneve - just want to add one more performance that hurt even more than the others. Villa in the cup, I know in the games you mentioned we got hammerd but that was the worst I've seen us play on such a big occasion. Anyway, I have learnt something positive about this club today. massive backtrack here but we do have the best fans in the world cause every single poster here cares, even if you do not agree with their opinion, it's all about the club we love.

Cyber group hug : )

Some of the greatest people to have lived, were those who believed in themselves when nobody else did.

Stuck to there Guns and moved forward 1 step at a time.

Granted there's also a fair few who died or went to prison haha.

Maybe Rodgers will suprise us all.

2.) 19 Jun 2015 23:49:43
If a strong BR was a failure, I shudder to think what a lame duck manager, weakened by the owners, would do.

3.) 20 Jun 2015 00:08:22
Please don't suggest that Rodgers should stick to his guns 65. That is one of the biggest issues our club has.

19 Jun 2015 13:12:04
Great to see so much support for our club on this site. rubbish keeper, rubbish defenders, rubbish midfield, rubbish strikers, rubbish manager and rubbish owners blah blah blah blah. We support our players no matter what right?? We are Liverpool fans, the best fans in the world right?? I am worried about the way the club is going but I won't slate our lads, as long as I see 100% when they get out there, then that is all you can ask. Give them a break, see who we bring in and just support them things can change very quickly in football.

AJGREDS

{Ed001's Note - I didn't see 100% from the players against Stoke.....

Plus this is not the match, support at the game, fine, but when you are not at the game blinkered support is pointless. It achieves nothing, but I guess it makes you feel superior.}

1.) 19 Jun 2015 13:35:16
Not at all and I guess I am a bit blinkered. Look I personally do not think Rodgers is the right man for the job but I want him to succeed. I just get a bit frustrated because most of the comments recently have been so negative. Can you give me something positive that the club is doing??

{Ed001's Note - if it is correct, then the promotion of Pepjin Linders is very positive.}

2.) 19 Jun 2015 14:13:42
AJGREDS

I want nothing more than for Rodgers to succeed, but it just ain't going to happen.

Theres so much negativity because a blind man can see the problems we have yet the club just aren't addressing them.

What is the point in keeping Rodgers? He's not upto the job but he will stay and come Xmas be up for the chop and leave us mid table.

The players coming in again are not the calibre we should be getting.
There not going to improve our squad and the next one Gomez is pointless. We have ilori yet they won't even give him a chance.

At the end of the day the direction we are moving in is not good.

3.) 19 Jun 2015 14:54:02
Anybody know the bookies odds that Mr Rodgers will be gone by Christmas ?

4.) 19 Jun 2015 14:16:35
You like linders ed?

{Ed001's Note - from what I have been told and read, he seems ideal.}

5.) 19 Jun 2015 14:53:34
If my staff put that amount of "effort" in a shift they'd be on the dole queue. 100 per cent. Not even close and the working man pays to see it. Shameful on occasion

6.) 19 Jun 2015 15:03:24
Agree that blinkered support achieves nothing on this site but then the same is true for the blanket criticism decribed.
The only way anything would be achieved is if people within the club read the site and if they do I'd rather they had the feeling of everyone is behind them rather than everyone hates them.

{Ed001's Note - and what good would that be when they are making a mess of things? If they get it right, then they will get support and deserve it. They have to earn it though.}

7.) 19 Jun 2015 15:12:29
I support the crest on the red shirt AJGREDS, not our idiot manager.

8.) 19 Jun 2015 15:15:35
Yuri, he won't last that long

9.) 19 Jun 2015 16:25:52
All good points there. It seems that some just want us to allow mediocrity to be shoved down our throats, all in the name of "support the team regardless". NONESENSE! I can support the club and disagree with their policies and the direction they it is going with no prob at all. Or are many on here incapable of multi-tasking? The dumbest thing is that many say they want BR gone yet have no prob with him staying. Wait, what? That makes no sense and seems many wanna have it both ways. I want him gone and DO have a prob with him staying and will not accept mediocrity from a set of owners or fans or manager just because "support the team" bla, bla, bla. Like Ed said, the manager has to earn his trust and support of the fan base and the only thing he has earned is being an embarassment and disgrace in the eys of the public with his failed policies nand brainless comments in the media. Have some people no shame nor a sense of ambition? This club was not built on the mediocrity of our past legends. it was built on self belief that through dreams and hardwork, much can be achieved. Now, mediocrity seems to be the norm. Hey, if some wanna accept the mess we are in as the way it is, good on them BUT stop telling the rest of us to agree with you because we won't UNTIL things change. Rant Over!

10.) 19 Jun 2015 17:32:22
Yuri Brendan Rodgers is 7/2 not be in charge by January 1st and 1/6 to still be in charge on 1st jan 2016

11.) 19 Jun 2015 18:54:00
Hey eds. all for constructive criticism but the banal criticism is even less useful than the blinkered support. I'm Getting bored of the 'everything is s**t' comments.

{Ed001's Note - well then put a different view down rather than whining even more.}

12.) 19 Jun 2015 19:22:28
Thanks lads.

I have only seen 2/1 and 4/1 gone by the beginning of the season and 1/6 he is still there January 2016.

FSG are certainly keeping their cards close to their chests.

The press are talking as if he will be there for the season ?

13.) 20 Jun 2015 00:55:41
He's a lame duck, ready for the chop.

12 Jun 2015 23:58:20
Me again, and sorry but addicted to this site!

Eds can you put it to bed for me, now I know you are hearing it almost every hour but do you expect Kovavic to wearing a Liverpool shirt next season? And one last one. what is the most reliable source in the media for a fan who has no inside knowledge? Thank you and I promise to leave you alone now.

AJGREDS

{Ed001's Note - yes and I have no idea, sorry. I don't really have the time to keep a check on reliability, sorry.}

12 Jun 2015 22:14:11
Hi Ed, random one. really random at that but back in 2012 when Rodgers was appointed, was he the favourite? Martinez was pictured with Henry right?

It's hard to believe he has been reprieved, Dalglish and Benitez were not so lucky.

AJGREDS

{Ed001's Note - they tried to get Klopp and De Boer, neither were interested then. They spoke to Martinez and Rodgers, both were only interested if they were manager, while FSG were trying to get them to come in as head coach. In the end they agreed to forget the DoF and bring Rodgers in as manager, rather than Martinez.}

1.) 13 Jun 2015 00:31:07
Makes you wonder what directions the club could have gone under them different managers.

05 Jun 2015 22:46:43
Hi Ed01, it sounds like you are not sure Rodgers will be our manager at the start of the season? So for now, do we just pursue with the signings Rodgers wants in?

Thanks.

AJGREDS

{Ed001's Note - the club will continue on as it would if he left.}

How old was Gary Mac when we signed him? 35 I reckon and what a job he did for us. I know he was free but just because their legs have gone doesn’t mean they couldn’t do a job. Won everything with Barcelona and who in our current squad has won anything of note? I’m not saying we should sign him but at a good price I think he will bring a wealth of experience and knows what it’s like to win.

To be fair it's not like our defence has been leaking goals for the last three years and all our centre backs have been so consistent.

Ed 002, can you explain again for me please or is there an area I can look for, for your comments on Klopp? Just interested as most fans are completely in love with the guy.

Anyone else think there is absolutely no difference between Mignolet and Karius?

BRover, get your points and facts but is it fair to say that there was a slightly better defence in front of Karius? Not a witch hunt against Karius at all really wanted him to succeed and still do if he remains in goal for next season, but fear it will all end in tears.

Don’t get me wrong Pepe is the best GK I have seen between the sticks since I started watching us in 94 but he was not perfect let’s be honest. FA cup final 2006, Andy Johnson Merseyside derby, last minute against Arsenal 2010. They all make mistakes but he still had a presence, respect and commanded the defence.

Frankly - respect your opinion but you have to take into account that Butland has far much more to do than Karius, what worries me is that Karius could be smoking a cigar for much of games but still makes errors. Top keepers are always alert.

Karius impressed initially when handed the No.1 jersey but even ignoring the final, we need better. Albeit a decent shot stopper I never feel entirely at ease with him. I want a keeper to have a presence and organise. Stats may say he makes less mistakes than some other keepers but will he save us 10/ 15 points a season like De Gea and others? It’s just my opinion that I think Butland would be a good option. I think he is a better keeper than Karius, has experience in the prem and would cost nowhere near as much as others touted. No way a dig at Karius but if we are serious about winning the league we need better.
